The meaning of the heart eye is deep and shallow, the shallow refers to the thinking activities of ordinary people, and the deep one is about to talk about the five eyes. The five eyes are the four kinds of mental eyes that have different levels in addition to the naked eye.
The so-called five eyes refer to the function of investigating the beginning and end of things and phenomena from ordinary people to the Buddha's position. Some people call the eyes the door of wisdom and the window of the soul, and the eyes can discern things and increase knowledge. The higher the level of practice, the wider the scope of the mind-eye action. The distance and scope that ordinary people can see through the naked eye of their parents are quite limited, too small, too big, too far, too close, and too far to be seen by the naked eye, or too dark or too intense, and not suitable for the naked eye. If you have the eye of heaven, you can observe freely in the material world, without being limited by distance, volume, or luminosity.
However, there are also levels of heaven: there are earth-dwelling heavens, empty heavens, and meditative heavens. The earth-dwelling heaven refers to the gods of merit and ghosts, as well as the four heavenly kings and the heavenly gods of the heavenly realm, the empty heaven refers to the heavenly gods of the heavenly realm of desire, and the heavenly meditation heaven refers to the twenty-two levels of the color realm and the colorless realm. The higher the level, the more functions of the Sky Eye will be. The function of the so-called eye of heaven is to see things that cannot be seen by the naked eye, in addition to not being limited by size, distance, light and shade, nor is it limited by concealment or transparent exposure, it does not need to be reflected by light and shadow, but the reflection or refraction of spiritual power.
There is a difference between cultivation and retribution. Ordinary ghosts and gods have heavenly eyes of varying shades, which are called retribution. Because there are no physical restraints of ghosts and gods, only spiritual activities, there are fewer physical obstacles. The general spiritual medium, that is, the person who is entrusted and attached to the ghosts and gods, this is the heavenly eye that the ghosts and gods repay, and can see things that people can't see. For human beings, the practice of meditation may lead to the attainment of the Heavenly Eye, but the purpose of meditation is not to cultivate the Heavenly Eye, although there are other ways to specialize in cultivating supernatural powers, but if the Heavenly Eye is cultivated, it does not necessarily mean that the Heavenly Eye has been attained.
In addition to the above, the function of the Sky Eye is to see the events that will occur in the future. That's because the occurrence of any phenomenon already has a certain causal relationship, and because of the creation of a certain amount of karma, it will cause a certain amount of karma, and often the phenomenon has not yet occurred, and the power to occur that phenomenon has already been formed, and if there are no other factors to join it, it will become a fact that will inevitably happen. Therefore, a person with an eye can predict the future. The stronger the ability of the eye of the sky, the longer the future can be seen, and the higher the accuracy.
The so-called accuracy means that Tianyan is not reliable, as long as other factors are added, the future state of affairs may not produce his expected results. It's like playing against two Go players, the higher the number of pieces, the more moves they see, and the lower the number of sets, the fewer pieces they see. But no two players of equal skill can already know the outcome of the game as soon as they get on the board. Because there are too many variables in the world, fixed numbers are only partial and short-term phenomena.

The young man asked rhetorically: You can see a monkey 50,000 miles away, why don't you see vegetables under the rice in front of you?
The Taoist was ashamed and angry, and hurriedly ran away.
Seeing far away but not near is a common problem for ordinary people. But in order to show off his external abilities, he instead lets others know his inner superficiality. Those who love to show off should really reflect on it!
Greed is the nature of human beings, but greed also has good greed and evil greed, good greed and evil greed. Most people are greedy for selfishness. For the sake of wealth, fame, fortune and goodness, it has caused evil behavior, so the Buddhist scriptures say that greed, hatred, and ignorance are the three poisons.
Once upon a time, there was a cultivator who practiced asceticism in the silent mountains, and finally became an immortal of the five links. The five links are the heavenly eye, the heavenly ear, the divine foot, the heart, and the fate. Being able to see things far, far away, no matter what is in heaven or earth, can be seen, which is called heavenly eye. Being able to hear all the sounds of heaven and earth is called heavenly ear communication. Being able to travel all over the world, the four seas and five lakes or the heavens and the earth is called God's foot. Being able to know what others are thinking in their hearts is called their heart. Being able to know about other people's past lives and oneself is called fate.
This Wutong Immortal, because Tianyantong can see through the treasures hidden underground, caused a disaster of death. When the king heard the news, he said to his courtiers, "Have you ever heard of an immortal in a certain mountain who has obtained a treasure that can see through the ground?" The minister said, "I have heard of it, but no one has seen an immortal." Then we will ask this immortal to live forever in our country and unearth the underground treasures for our country, who will keep him and ask him to show the place of the treasure?
One of the ministers next to him said, "I am willing to go to the mountains and visit this Wutong immortal." So the minister went to the mountains to visit the immortals. However, no matter how he persuaded the immortals, he refused to tell the treasure under coercion and temptation. Finally, the minister gouged out the eyes of the immortals and presented them to the king. The king said, "Why did you gouge out the eyes of the immortals?" because the immortals would not cooperate in any way, and it was only these eyes that he could see the treasures underground, so he could see the treasures of the underground by digging out his eyes, so why should he cooperate?
In order to discover the treasure underground, the king asked the immortals for instructions, and the minister gouged out his eyes because he asked the immortals not to move.
Greed seems to be the nature of human spirit, in fact, it is the habit of no beginning, no matter whether it is nature or habit, people can always be without greed, greed can compete with each other, social and national progress, if there is no greed and everyone is slack, even eating is a problem, what progress can be talked about?
Everything in the world has two sides. It is of course right to strive for progress in accordance with legitimate methods, but the world is often greedy and insatiable, causing contention, calculation, and karma. Can ordinary people's minds control the greed of lawlessness? Some people mistakenly say that Buddhism is negative and teaches people not to be greedy. In fact, reasonable greed does not violate the Dharma. Because 'the Dharma is in the world, it is not separated from the world', the Dharma is in the world, it is to benefit the world, it is to enlighten the world, otherwise there will be no one to ask for the Dharma, and ordinary people are greedy for everything, and they are all greedy for self-interest. The greed of exploiting others is also the greed of creating karma and doing evil, so Buddhism says that greed, hatred, and ignorance are the three poisons, and how to avoid this evil greed depends on our wisdom.
However, in the face of Confucian accusations, Buddhism made compromises and integrations on the one hand, preaching the idea of the unity of abstinence and filial piety, and combining reincarnation with filial piety. By describing the hellish sufferings that will be suffered by the unfilial and the heavenly blessings that the filial piety will receive, the Buddhist scriptures warn the world to respect the Three Jewels and be filial to their parents.
Later, the idol worship of Guanyin, who sent the child, fused Buddhism and Confucianism's idea of "unfilial piety, three nothings, and the queen is great". On the other hand, it is believed that the purpose of Confucianism is to provide for the parents in this life, so that their parents can be happy in this life, and then glorify their ancestors.
And only the filial piety of Buddhism in the world is the real great filial piety, which is eternal filial piety. Filial piety in Buddhism requires that parents be guided to learn Buddhism, so that they can cut off the karmic flow of ignorance and troubles, get rid of the suffering of the six realms of reincarnation, and realize the ultimate happiness of nirvana. Moreover, it is necessary to save the parents and relatives of people, animals, insects, ants, and ants who have survived the death of the catastrophe, and to benefit from the Dharma and to ascend the Lianbang together.
Reincarnation, Buddhist terminology. Reincarnation refers to the rebirth of a person's soul in another body after death, and each reincarnation is a reincarnation.
