Xuan Che frowned, when this Demon Venerable did not enter the Demon Realm, he was the Peacock King Bodhisattva of the Western Heavens. According to the Middle Earth Buddhist scriptures, after the peacock was born, it was ferocious by nature, good at eating human flesh, and could suck human flesh from forty or fifty miles away, and the big snow mountain where he lived was uninhabited within a radius of five hundred miles. One day, the Buddha traveled to the Great Snow Mountain, and was swallowed by a peacock with his mouth open, and sucked the Buddha's six golden body into his abdomen. The Buddha had no choice but to break his back and come out, in his own words, "I wanted to go out through his door, but I was afraid of polluting the Buddha's body, so I broke his back and stepped on the spiritual mountain." ”

Later, after the Buddha "stepped on the spiritual mountain" of the peacock, he had a killing intent in his heart, and he couldn't swallow this breath when he thought about it, so he said to his subordinates, I want to destroy it for all sentient beings. When the Buddha heard it, it was repaid, not to mention that when the peacock's parents Phoenix was born, even the Buddha's Bodhi tree did not know where it was. So a thousand bodhisattvas, Buddhas, arhats, and Venerable Ones advised in unison: "Respect comes out of its body, and it hurts like hurting the mother." "Our Venerable Shakyamuni weighed the pros and cons, found a step down, and according to his later preaching, "Therefore, he was lenient and named 'Peacock King Bodhisattva', blessed by supreme freedom, and deprived of his nature." ”

Chaos begins. Clear and light rises to the sky, thick and heavy sinks to the ground. The sun and the moon are bright, the stars are around, and all things are growing. Hundreds of beasts worship the unicorn as the emperor, and the birds take the phoenix as the king.

Another saying comes from the Tianzhu classics: Phoenix, male is phoenix and female is phoenix, heaven and earth are combined, and nine kinds are born: golden phoenix, color phoenix, fire phoenix, snow phoenix, blue phoenix, peacock, roc, thunderbird, and wind. Among the hundred birds, the peacock is the most beautiful, gorgeous and dazzling, the glow is overflowing, the flowers are ashamed, and the clouds are discolored. However, he is arrogant and uninhibited. The Buddha had tried to associate with him, but he was angry, and the battle of the covenant was under the Kunlun Mountain. The peacock is ferocious, the whale swallows the Buddha, the Buddha breaks its back with difficulty, is afraid, and wants to kill it. The emperor said: No. The peacock is the most favorite of the phoenix, and killing the peacock will hurt the phoenix. It is cast into the Infernal Realm, banished from the Three Realms - the Demon Realm.

The peacock fell into the demon world, saw the eyes full of devastation, scaly bones everywhere, puzzled, and asked an old demon. The demon said that the demon world is equal to the three realms, sharing the energy of the sun and absorbing the essence of the yin moon. However, the Buddha hated his ugly appearance and deformed body, and chased the whole demon clan into the abyss of infernal abyss and sealed it with an enchantment. There is no sun or moon in the abyss, it is pitch black, and the demons are withering day by day. Occasionally, a gifted demon king broke the seal, and the gods also attacked him on the charge of harassing the Three Realms, and they all ended well.

After listening to it, the peacock was like an initiation, enlightened, and devoted himself to the cultivation of the demon realm, the pain of the mourning demon clan, and the anger of the mourning demon clan. During this period, the Bodhisattva of the King of the Earth remembered his misfortune and often gave help. The emperor tasted the peacock situation, knew it, and jokingly called it "Satan".

Fifteen hundred years later, the peacock led the demons to break out of the seal and smashed the Xuantian, and the two sides were on the verge of breaking out, which was known as the "God and Demon War" in history. During this period, the clouds of sorrow did not disperse, and the Three Realms were restless. The battle has been going on for a long time, and the demon clan has gradually become weak, only the peacock shows off its might, without the slightest sign of defeat. Breaking three immortals and eight islands, nine kings and ten stars, full of gods and Buddhas, none of them can be defeated. However, the demons were defeated, and the peacock was helpless. The Bodhisattva of the King of the Earth said bitterly, the demons have their sorrows, the Three Realms have their suffering, and the troubled times are not peaceful. After more than a hundred years of war, the Three Realms have withered, and they are no different from the Demon Realm! The Buddha also said, willing to give the Demon Realm the essence of the sun and the moon. The peacock looked up to the sky and sighed.

The Three Realms returned to their positions, the demons returned to the Infernal Abyss, and the peacocks also wanted to go with them, and the gods persuaded them to be spared. Return to the Western Heavenly Bliss, take charge of the Demon Realm, guide the essence of the sun and the moon, and irrigate the Four Realms. All the people of Zhou Tian are grateful for their kindness. Buddha Dayue, given the "Peacock King".

The world is calm, the peacock swims in the sea, stands on a stone, looks up to the sky and roars: look at the ancient and modern, see the demon god is the same, only I peacock!

According to these two types of sayings, this Peacock Daming King Bodhisattva is indeed not a good kind, and he did have a festival with the Buddha, so he was arranged by the Buddha to come to this demon world full of devastation and scales. But the second type of statement is only the books of Tianzhu Kingdom, which Xuan Che found in a small corner of the library of the Antarctic Immortal Weng, and she doesn't know whether it is credible or not. It is written in other texts that the reason why demons are demons is not because of their ugly appearance, but because of their bad conduct, and that people in the demon realm are people who are born with extreme evil, and are banished by the Three Realms, so they become demons. This demon realm is the gathering place of demons.

Xuan Che felt a little confused, but she also knew that it was better to believe in books than to have no books, and whether the people in the demon world were as vicious as recorded in the classics still needed to be slowly experienced by herself.

Xuan Che asked, "Little brother, did this demon world have another name in the past?"

The little monster didn't reply, "This demon world used to be called the Infernal Abyss, and it was a bottomless, dark abyss. Later, the Demon Venerable took us to fight, and the combined forces of the Three Realms saw that the Demon Realm would decline, and Lu Zhudao Jun and the King of Jizo couldn't stand it anymore, so they bitterly persuaded the two sides to stop fighting. In fact, if you don't stop fighting at that time, the demon world will also be defeated. Lu Zhuan Daojun and Jizo King Bodhisattva also gave us a step down. After the armistice, for the sake of fairness, Lu Zhuan Daojun lined up Lord Gan Tu (赑屃 is one of the nine sons of the dragon in ancient myths and legends, also known as Baxia. It resembles a turtle, is a good load, and carries the stone tablet for many years. Camel an immortal island in the East China Sea to fill in this infernal abyss, so that all beings in our demon realm can see the sun again. ”

Xuan Che muttered, "That is, a long time ago, the Demon Realm and the Three Realms fought?"

The little monster said with a little pride, "That was 8,000 years ago, and my grandfather participated in that war between gods and demons." ”

Xuan Che said lightly, "There is no basis for what you say, who knows if it's true or not." ”

The little monster listened to her words, turned his head and looked at her angrily, his immature face flushed, and he said angrily, "You speak so unreasonably, this is a well-known thing in our Demon Realm, and it is also recorded in the history books, and in our Demon Realm, there is also the Haotian Pagoda planted by Lu Jian Daojun and Jizo King Bodhisattva." ”

"Haotian Tower, where is it?" asked Xuan Che.

The little monster pointed to the east, and Xuan Che saw the tower that went straight into the sky, she actually saw the tower outside, but she saw the simplicity of the tower, and thought it was a place for people in the demon world to watch the stars, but she didn't expect it to be Haotian Tower. Haotian Tower, originally a treasure of the heavenly realm, is said to have the ability to absorb stars and change the moon, with a vast power. It is said that it can subdue all demons and evil ways, and the gods can also surrender if necessary; However, his whereabouts were unknown for unknown reasons, and no one knew his whereabouts. It turned out that this Haotian Tower was not missing, but in the Demon Realm.

Xuan Che asked again, "This Haotian Tower is for suppression or something?"

The little monster was kneeling on the ground and kowtowed to the Haotian Pagoda due east, before replying, "This Haotian Pagoda is here to suppress the evil spirit of this Infernal Abyss. Lu Zhuan Daojun was afraid that we would repeat the mistakes of the past, so he suppressed it here, so that all beings in our demon realm could also enjoy the pure aura of the sun and moon. ”
