When I was in school, I never thought that I would become a monk, nor did I think about becoming a Taoist priest, so I can say that before I was in my 20s, I really didn't have a clear understanding of Taoism, and I didn't know more about Taoism than many young friends now.

The understanding and learning of Taoism is a step-by-step process, at the beginning, I was like many people, I didn't have the slightest clue, and I didn't know what to do, and I didn't know what to call Taoist monks and monks, and I didn't even understand the difference between Zhengyi and Quanzhen, and when I arrived at Taoist temples and temples, I was as curious as most people, who was not born to be Taoist monks, and who was not born to know Taoism and understand Taoism. Therefore, we must have confidence in ourselves, we must have the confidence to understand and understand Taoism, we must also have patience, we must have enough cognition, we must not be impatient or impatient, and gradually deepen our understanding.

What kind of books do you read in Taoism, and how do you read them, many people ask, in fact, these questions are nothing more than how to get started, so let's talk about the fate of the law first. Many times Taoism pays attention to the law of fate, so what is the law of fate?

Personally, I think that the problem of the fate of the law is not easy to say, not to say that I will not encounter the problem, I may have come into contact with Taoism since junior high school, at that time, there were some things that were also folk religions, at that time it was just curiosity, and some of my apprentices began to contact the same time; later, high school, it was also studying, learning the same as you, taking classes, there are no special courses, they are all step by step, and there is nothing more than anyone else; just like you think now, Liang Xingyang is a Taoist, and how to enter the Tao is a process of gradual understanding。

Understanding Taoism is not something that can be recognized in a day or two, and the fate of the law needs to be fought for, and it needs to be worked hard in the face of difficulties, and it needs to be constantly explored. And then there's curiosity, like me, and a lot of people ask you where is the Taoist temple, how did you become a monk, do you meditate every day, how do you live, where did you come from.

These are these questions, before I entered the Tao, I was also curious about other Taoist priests. The key is how to look at these problems, the things I told them that time, in my bookcase, one-third of the books of Buddhism, one-third of the books of Taoism, one-third of the miscellaneous books, half of the books of Taoism, half of them, a lot of ideas and cognitions, may not really come directly from the books of Taoism, just like we as a person, you let me tell you clearly, which muscle of yours was transformed from the steamed buns or rice you ate that day, I really don't know. All I can say is you, no matter what you eat, whatever you say, these are you, the soul you represent and your self, which is yourself, in Taoism, this is faith.

The establishment of faith is based on a heart, not on the basis of the source, just as it is said that Buddhism also does good, Taoism also does good, Christianity also does good, religion has the role of influencing people, faith is based on Taoism, but it cannot be said that it has lost itself. For example, on the issue of the Dog Meat Festival, for Taoists, I don't eat dog meat either, I think dogs are the representatives of loyalty, I have my beliefs, but it doesn't mean that I have the right to oppose others eating dog meat, it doesn't mean that I also have the right to curse others.

There is a saying that patriotism is the last refuge of hooligans, and we cannot practice evil from the perspective of believing that we are righteous. We can't take ourselves for granted, we can do whatever we want, religion gives us a constraint in the first place.

No religion is inseparable from three words: love, hate, and fear. Without love and hate, there is no cohesion of religion, there is no fear, there is no awe, it may be fear of the unknown, it may be fear of the future, it may be fear of others, love and hate are the core of religion, including monotheism, fear restricts our hearts, and can also be used as a reason to coerce others, such as the usual tricks of many religions, including cults.

Because we are afraid of doing evil, we do good, because we fear God, so we respect, because we are afraid of the unknown, we seek the truth, and without love, hate, and fear, religion is not religion, if you don't love him, you don't care, if you don't hate something, you can't distinguish between right and wrong, just as you hate ugliness. Love is about concern, hate is about discrimination, it is precisely because of fear of some cause and effect, in order to better make people pure faith, of course, this love, hate and fear, is a neutral word, the use of bad is a tool of sin;

Superstition is sometimes good, sometimes it is bad, for example, for the old people in their sixties and seventies, superstition is superstitious, so that the old people have a comfort in their hearts, respect them, and there must always be a thought in a person's life. They want to carry out a big life change can no longer be changed, at least, happy but for people who really want to live a good life, superstition is really terrible, we don't understand things, there are still many unknowns, these unknowns, not to say that non-science is pseudoscience, religion and science are not opposites, superstitious science is also superstition.

What we don't understand, there are still many unknowns, these unknowns, not to say that non-science is pseudoscience, religion and science are not opposites, to understand religion, we should be wise, whether it is science or religion. Learn to introspect, learn to examine, learn to measure, let our hearts not be lost, let our beliefs not be lost, let our souls have a place to come from, a place to go, and be true to ourselves.

In ancient times, before the formation of the One Truth, some of the precepts were definitely not there, and some of the precepts were definitely not there before the formation of the Pure Truth, so what did the precepts really mean? Is it true that if you break the precepts?

When the Yellow Emperor asked Guangchengzi, there must not be the current precepts, at that time it was still a society where people eat tigers today, and tigers eat people tomorrow. According to some theories, the Yellow Emperor is still a royal maiden, and there is no story of Cangjie, Fuxi, King Wen of Zhou, and Guangchengzi adhering to such cumbersome precepts. Each of us is not born to be a good person, it is impossible not to make mistakes, it is impossible to always follow the right path, practice is like walking on thin ice, each of us may be slack, everyone may have a bad aspect in our hearts, the precepts are constantly regulating ourselves, so that we can carry out within this range, a feasible way to improve ourselves within the scope of the precepts, we require ourselves to do a certain degree, then, our hearts can be better fit, in the same way, when our hearts are stable, even if we eat meat and drink wine, we do good and do good, it is all ourselves。

If you don't restrain yourself, if you don't do it, if you are vague, if this precept is loosened, you will naturally be slack off on yourself, and the precept will not restrain our true heart, but will regulate our behavior. There must be a precept, even if there is one, but we can't keep the precepts, just as the precepts of the One True Precept are all different, and each sect is different, so who is right and who is wrong? In fact, there is no right or wrong, it is all a constraint on the believers and the Taoists.

If you are serious, one precept can become an immortal, if you are not serious, you will be given countless precepts, and you will not be a good person. I'm joking with them, according to the fairy story, Lu Zu, drinking wine and picking up girls and eating meat, become immortals the same, is that precept useful to him? Emperor Guan also eats meat and drinks wine, and he also has wives and children, is it useful to him?

We can't be superstitious about the precepts, there are gods and Buddhas in the world who do good deeds, but there are no gods and Buddhas who become vegetarians, and vegetarianism is also a Buddhism and Taoism, but who of you has ever seen a god or a Buddha because of a vegetarian diet?

As for the correct understanding of the precepts and how to regulate them, just like a Buddhist friend said that he is confused, this confusion is both Buddhism and Taoism, and now some people distort the precepts and teachings or seek their own interests; for example, the release of life is a good thing, and God has the virtue of a good life, but you look at how many jokes come out of the release of life. INCLUDING THE WU DAY, CAN NOT BE COMPLETELY DEIFIED THE WU DAY, FROM A CERTAIN ASPECT, THE WU DAY IS TO GIVE THE Taoist priest a rest day; why are there so many taboos on the wu day, you don't rest, you will be scared to rest, just like we find a reason to celebrate the foreign festival, or for the sake of happiness, our christmas, and faith have a yarn relationship?

We need to avoid it, but don't let ourselves be frightened by violating some so-called taboos; doing good deeds and doing good, there are never rules, there are never restrictions, and practicing the Tao is never time-sensitive, and the respect from the heart can overcome countless precepts.

We can find reasons to study, we can find reasons not to study, we can find reasons to practice, we can find reasons not to practice, and the precepts regulate our path on the one hand, and guide our path on the other. We are not born immortals, nor are we born good people, we must be vigilant that on the road of our cultivation, the precepts can allow us to make fewer mistakes, at least to be able to walk on the path standardized by our predecessors.

Our predecessors have shown us a path that we can walk along this path, and that this path is feasible and how to walk it depends on ourselves, and this path is the path of precepts. We can't do without, we can't be superstitious, we can't be afraid, we can't despise it, according to our own behavior, we should always ask ourselves well, always face ourselves, understand the precepts, look through our hearts, and let us better improve ourselves.

Everyone has faults and shortcomings, and the precepts are to make us make fewer mistakes and detours, and when our minds are able to see our path from a higher perspective, the precepts are no longer precepts. There are thousands of avenues, and there are no boundaries to walk.
