Chapter 462: Buddha III
"Of course, it is not the person who leads the Taoist, but the master who leads the Taoist, the descendant of the Patriarch of Chaokun, Shakyamuni Nyorai!" Siddhami said: "I also got the news from the Buddha, and then I suddenly realized that our so-called reincarnation has already gone through the personal experience of my Buddha Patriarch. ”
"The Buddha personally verified the theory of reincarnation?" Sun Lingtian was shocked when he heard this, although he had heard of reincarnation before, he had never heard of someone who really took the right path with his body. It is important to know that once someone is on the right path, it is a situation of no life, unless this path is finally proven to be successful.
Just like the perfect Dao that Sun Lingtian is walking now, he doesn't know that his Dao will come to an end, but there are already many people in front of him who have tried this Dao Intent, such a Dao Intent, such an attempt, may still not explain anything, but the hardships can be imagined. Otherwise, why did they give up halfway?
"The Buddha had a big mind, and all his Taoist intentions, all the Taoist intentions that he created himself, were all preached by him himself, and then he would pass them on to everyone. Siddhamu said that in fact, he was very proud to have such a patriarch. It must be known that there are many mental methods in the world, but there are not many people who are righteous doctors, let alone patriarchs.
It seems that the Mixed Kun Patriarch has nothing to do with Buddhism, but in fact, he is the originator of Buddhism, which is why he is written in the Buddhist scriptures, which also proves that the mental method they practice will not be weak.
Subsequently, Siddhamu also explained Sun Lingtian's doubts one by one.
According to legend, there are two theories about the "Three Buddhas": one is the past Buddha, the present Buddha and the future Buddha according to the original time meaning of the "Three Worlds", and the other is to divide the sphere of influence according to the region, the three Buddhas refer to the Medicine Buddha of the Eastern Pure Glass World, the Shakyamuni Buddha of the Suva World, and the Amitabha Buddha of the Western Elysium. The former is called the Vertical Buddha, and the latter is the Horizontal Buddha.
The three Buddhas of the erection are the Buddhas of the past, and the Buddhas of the lamps are burned. The present Buddha Shakya, the future Buddha Maitreya Buddha. "Three worlds" is also called "three worlds", the so-called three worlds, in fact, is the reincarnation of three worlds, the meaning of time flow. When Buddhism uses the cycle of cause and effect, the term "world" refers to the time span of an individual's life and death.
The three lives can also be said to be past lives, present lives, future lives, or previous lives, present lives, future lives, or precursors, middles, and future lives. In Buddhism, the "world" is impossible in the blink of an eye, and the shortest is the so-called "three worlds in an instant". The most common three lives are the "three lives of life" or "three lives", which take the life and death of a person as one life. There is another kind of "catastrophe".
The so-called catastrophe. It is only the process of reincarnation, from beginning to end, from destruction to rebirth, rebirth. Buddhism also regards one eons as a lifetime, and believes that the world has a process of cyclical creation and destruction. The three worlds of the "Three Buddhas" refer to the last concept of time.
In the treasure halls of Buddhism and Western religion in the Biluo Continent and the Xuanzhou Continent, the three statues enshrined are the three Buddhas. In the middle, the statue of Shakyamuni Buddha, the one on the left is the Buddha statue of the burning lamp, and the one on the right is the statue of Maitreya Buddha. In Buddhism, there is also a saying of three worlds and three thousand Buddhas. That is, in the past, a thousand Buddhas were solemnly tribulated, collectively referred to as the Buddhas of the Burning Lamp, now the world's sages are robbed of a thousand Buddhas, collectively referred to as the Buddhas of Shakya, and in the future, the stars and the stars of the thousand Buddhas are called the Maitreya Buddhas. Three statues on the altar. That is, the representative of the three worlds and three thousand Buddhas.
Burning the lamp Buddha, it is said that when he was alive, he was like a lamp around him, so he was named the prince of the lamp. Being a Buddha is also known as a lamp. Originally, when Shakyamuni Buddha was a Confucian boy in his previous life, he spent 500 yuan to buy five green lotus flowers from the Wang girl. Offering the Buddha of the Burning Lamp. Once, when he went out with the Buddha of the Burning Lamp, he saw that the ground was very muddy, so he took off his clothes and covered them and asked the Master to step on them.
The Buddha of the Burning Lamp gave this well-behaved and pious Confucian boy a note, saying that it was the last ninety-one calamity, the name of the virtuous tribulation, and you were regarded as a Buddha, and the name of the Buddha was as if it were Buddha. It can be seen from this that although it is a Buddha of three lifetimes, it is not a succession of worlds. This is also what Sun Lingtian is most puzzled about, since it is the third Buddha, there must be a connection between them, how can they meet?
After such an explanation, Sun Lingtian also understood that the reincarnation of Buddhism has great meaning!
There is a gap of 90 eons between the solemn eons of burning the lamp as a Buddha and the virtuous eons of Shakyamuni as a Buddha, and according to the most conservative version of 4.32 billion years for a single eon, the distance between master and disciple is also about 390 billion years.
The three Buddhas are Medicine Buddha, Shakyamuni Buddha, and Amitabha Buddha. Shakyamuni Buddha is the head of the samsara world. The so-called "sava" is translated as "patience", that is, the meaning of patience, and there are two meanings of patience, one is to say that the real world of Shakyamuni Buddha's education is full of unbearable suffering, and all sentent beings are deeply sinful; the other is that the Buddha and Bodhisattva are "enduring" in this world, carrying out education, and showing their "fearlessness" and "compassion".
Medicine Buddha is the leader of the Oriental Pure Glass World. Medicine Master Liuli Light Rulai is also called Medicine Master Liuli Light Buddha, Medicine Buddha, Great Doctor King Buddha, and Medicine King Shan died. Legend has it that he made twelve vows, the main ones being the wish of "removing one qiē sentient beings and all diseases, so that the body and mind are happy", the wish of "turning a woman into a man", the wish of "liberating all sentient beings from evil kings and thieves and other difficulties", the wish of "making ** sentient beings get food", the wish of "making the poor and unclothed get wonderful clothes" and so on. And what is emphasized in the belief system is undoubtedly the vow and ability to "eradicate all diseases".
Therefore, when taking scriptures, in addition to reincarnation, the scriptures that everyone takes are the sutras that eliminate disasters and solve problems, which is also the reason why Medicine Buddha can be compared with Patriarch Shakyamuni. Siddharmu explained, "To be able to eliminate people's calamities is the best way to do it." This kind of mental method, in addition to being of great significance to cultivators, is also beneficial to mortals. ”
"It turns out that there are many disciples in the West, and this is the reason. Sun Lingtian nodded, such a merit is not something that ordinary Buddhist scriptures can bring. Looking at the Xuanzhou Continent, there are countless mental methods, but there are indeed very few that can help mortals, and it can almost be said that there are none, unless mortals cultivate immortals.
But mortal cultivation of immortals, that is an unattainable thing, not to mention what kind of realm the human race has fallen to now, this mental method alone has many restrictions on cultivators. Do you still remember why you were thought to be unable to cultivate in the first place?
The Xuan Qi Sea is the most basic thing for cultivators, but among mortals, not necessarily one person in the thousands of people has the Xuan Qi Sea, so it is almost impossible for mortals to cultivate immortals, and this is not to mention whether there is any support from the heart method. Even if there is a sea of Xuanqi, but without the support of the mental method, in the end it will be empty joy, it is better to farm the land and support the family in a down-to-earth manner.
Medicine Buddha in the Western Treasure Hall with Shakya and Mida, but its shape is very close. Generally, the center is the Buddha Shakya, and the left and right attendants are respectively Manjushri and Puxian three Bodhisattva halls; the left side is the Medicine Buddha, and the left and right attendants are the Bodhisattvas of the sun and the moonlight; the right side is the Amitabha Buddha, and the left and right attendants are Guanyin, the Great Trend to the Bodhisattva. In addition, the mudras of the three Buddhas are also somewhat different, with Medicine Buddha often holding a bowl in one hand to express nectar, and the other holding a pill. The so-called purification of sentient beings is also the meaning of gestures.
Mida Buddha often makes two hands to support or cross two hands, two fingers to the top of the mudra, some palms have a lotus platform. This is the posture that leads to all beings. The standing statue of the Buddha is the left hand "Wishing Seal" and the right hand "Fearless Seal".
In addition to the joint offerings of the three Buddhas, there are also special "Medicine Master Hall" and "Medicine King Hall". In the center of the hall are the "Three Statues of Medicine Masters", that is, Medicine Buddha and his attendants Sun Bodhisattva and Moon Bodhisattva. Some of them also have the twelve gods and generals of the medicine master on both sides, also called the twelve medicine Buddha generals, all of whom are the images of military generals wearing armor, and each of them leads 7,000 dependents. The Twelve Medicine Buddhas will be exactly the Medicine Buddha avatars presented in accordance with the Medicine Buddha's twelve vows.
The Central Shakyamuni Buddha is in charge of the Central World, and he has two attendants, the "Great Wisdom" Manjushri and the "Great Walk" Puxian Bodhisattva, known as the Three Sages of Huayan; His Dharmakaya is the great day of the reverence of Tibetan Buddhism. And it is also the only Buddha mentioned in both the horizontal and vertical thirds, which shows the great influence of Sakyamuni on Buddhism.
Finally, there is the Western Amitabha Buddha, who is in charge of the Western Elysium, and he has two attendants, the "Great Courage" Great Trend Bodhisattva and the "Great Compassion" Guanyin Bodhisattva, known as the Three Sages of the West. The main purpose of praying to Amitabha Buddha is to pray for liberation after death. Han Buddhism believes that Amitabha Buddha is mainly to extradite sentient beings to the world of bliss and get rid of the cycle of suffering with his wish, so it is also called "Guiding Buddha", and because this Buddha has immeasurable life and light, it is also known as "Amitayus Buddha" and "Buddha of Infinite Light". In Tibetan Buddhism, he is known as the Buddha of Yuepamo and is also a symbol of longevity.
There is a saying in the Buddhist community that the three Buddhas of the Heng Dynasty are the same Buddha, and they are only manifested in different incarnations in order to save sentient beings. But judging from Siddham's and Sun Lingtian's speculations, such a statement has a somewhat apocryphalic meaning. First, the Buddha is the Buddha, and the three Buddhas have no relationship with each other at all, so it cannot be the same Buddha.
In addition, even if it is the same Buddha, but through the method of reincarnation and reincarnation, he has become the Buddha of the Six Realms, or the Five Great Buddhas, so that Shakyamuni is even more powerful, and everyone thinks that this is the result of the enlightenment of the Patriarch of Chaokun. One body is two, or even one body is five, which are not related to each other, but they are closely related.
"That's what I heard from the Buddha about his life. Siddhamu said: "When the Buddha talked about the verses of the year, he also felt regret in his heart, because he knew that if he hadn't revealed these verses himself, it would be impossible for everyone to lean all this information on Sun Wukong's body, and he would naturally not have ended so badly." ”
"But there is one thing I still don't understand, why as soon as this verse came out, everyone thought it was Sun Wukong, not someone else?" (To be continued......)
