The 33rd Outline of the Taoist Collection
In the next few days, some turmoil in the house gradually subsided, and Li Zhuangwu was not the old lady's opponent after all. has been fighting for decades, and the old lady is tired, but Li Zhuangwu seems to be showing signs of becoming more and more courageous. This is not a good sign, the old lady thought to himself, although he didn't mind too much, but these days there have been people running to Wu Xu's place to make noise, and even dare to harass his sister, always looking for something to come out. The old lady knew that Wu Xuan did not have a foundation in cultivating immortals, so he was naturally not the opponent of those naughty children, and he was also very strictly forbidden to do so, but it was inevitable that something would be missed.
Once, a few sons in the academy who had just stepped into the foundation building realm stopped Wu Xu on the way, tried to provoke him with words, and then taught him a lesson in the open. Who knew that he was angry enough later, and he was angry and moved first, but the result was a big surprise. Wu Xu not only did not get beaten, but relied on his strong body to beat up those sons who built the foundation realm.
This matter spread in the mansion, and it didn't take long for it to spread to the whole city, and there was an uproar. Many people suddenly remembered this topic person more than ten days ago, and they couldn't help but feel a little weird after discussing it.
As for the Li Mansion, some of the sons with higher cultivation were already quite resentful, and threatened several times that they would personally give him some color to see, so worried that Li Lanjin came several times to persuade Wu Xu not to go out of the courtyard again, and Wu Xu had to agree. It's just that he still goes out every day afterwards, but he never sees anyone to block it, which makes Wu Xu a little confused. Later, I heard that it was Miss Li who happened to meet those people, and then enthusiastically helped them guide them to cultivate, and I heard that the guidance process was a bit miserable, and those people crawled back. A few days later, a few more people wanted to block Wu Xu, but they happened to meet Miss Li again, and Miss Li happened to have itchy hands, so these people also crawled back.
There was nothing once, and two times might be a coincidence, but after the fourth time, no one dared to trouble Wu Xu, not even threatening to say a cruel word.
But some gossip in the secret, it's hard to say whether there is that or not.
These news were specially told to Wu Xu by Li Lanjin. After Lan Jin finished speaking, she stared at him with a pair of very innocent eyes, as if she was waiting for him to give an answer. Wu Xu was stared at so much that his heart was furious, he naturally thought that it was pure coincidence, otherwise could Hongfu still make a move for him?
finally coaxed away Li Lanjin, who obviously looked unbelieving, but Wu Xu was in a daze in the room, and even Xi'er pulled Aoki Xiaoxiao to deliberately dangle in front of his eyes several times without seeing it, and the two girls, one big and one small, had to pout and walk away.
Zhong Qiying finally accepted Aoki Xiaoxiao, although she also knew that it was because of this little Xi'er that she would get sick, but she couldn't stand Aoki Xiaoxiao's 'mother' who made her heart palpitate again and again, and the eyes that were exactly the same as her daughter, and then she collapsed, hugged Aoki Xiaoxiao and cried once, and announced that she had another baby daughter.
However, Xi'er resisted Aoki Xiaoxiao at first, thinking that she had taken away the favor she deserved, but then she really thought she was too cute, and she couldn't help but play with her every time, and it didn't take long for the two to be inseparable.
Wu Xu was shocked by this unbelievable thing for several days, and often complained that his mother and Xi'er accepted an 'enemy' into his own side so unprincipledly, but every time he was criticized by his mother, Xi'er, Lan Jin and even Qingwei, and finally surrendered not long after.
It's just that he knows very well in his heart that things are not so simple, Aoki's little origin is too weird, and there is almost a line between it and the disaster, so he can't be careless. But he's just secretly paying attention, and aside from anything else, Aoki's small size is indeed very cute. Besides, the old lady has been secretly sending people to investigate this matter, and he will definitely know any clues in time.
And these days, he is going to the library in the house every day rain or shine to read books. The reason was that a few days ago, when he looked through the storage bag given to him by Venerable Hongxuan, he found that there were almost hundreds of books in it, and there were many miscellaneous types, although most of them were various exercises and secret techniques, but there were also many other documents. Wu Xu was curious to look through them one by one, and found that there was an extremely mottled ancient book, and the language was extremely obscure, the font was ancient and difficult to recognize, Wu Xu could only understand, there was nothing unusual about this, but some of the things recorded in the book had a great conflict with Wu Xu's cognition.
For example, it is recorded that there are two brothers, herding sheep for generations, one day the younger brother met a Taoist when herding sheep, the Taoist took him to practice, forty years later the two brothers met, the elder brother jokingly asked the younger brother where the sheep were, the younger brother pointed to the white stone, called "sheep up", suddenly tens of thousands of white sheep appeared out of thin air, the elder brother understood that the younger brother had become an immortal, so he followed him to cultivate, and five hundred years later also became an immortal. The younger brother's name is Red Songzi, and the elder brother takes the name Red Whisker. Later, the two played chess in a deep mountain, and a woodcutter passed by to watch, and the red beard gave the woodcutter a red date for him to eat, and when the chess was over, the woodcutter was ready to pick up the salary and go home, but found that the axe handle was already rotten.
There is also a record, there was a Tao Zhengguan during the Yellow Emperor period, burned pottery for most of his life, one day saved a beggar, the beggar helped him to burn the fire, who knew that the fire actually came out of the five-colored smoke, Tao Zhengguan on a whim, then begged the beggar to teach himself to burn the five-colored smoke, the beggar taught, after the teaching, it turned into five-colored smoke and rose away. This Tao Zhengguan suddenly felt enlightened, so he used the method taught by the beggar to burn himself, burned for three hundred years, and even turned into five-colored smoke and flew into an immortal, and later generations called him Ning Fengzi.
There are a lot of records of this kind, and at first glance they don't seem to be anything, but they all have a common characteristic, that is, they were born from humble backgrounds, and they only began to learn the Tao at the age of forty or fifty, but they really became immortals! Although it only took hundreds of years, it may be very common nowadays, but in ancient times, the aura was strong, the Dharma lived in the world, and the immortals emerged in an endless stream, which is very different from today, so it can be seen that the qualifications of Red Whiskers, Ning Fengzi and others should be very ordinary.
For example, the red pine nut must have excellent qualifications, so there are immortals to cross, and sure enough, they will become immortals after only forty years. And the red beard is not good, ordinary people live to be in their fifties, and his younger brother becomes an immortal to cross him, and it took another five hundred years to become an immortal. Ning Fengzi came from a better background, he was a Tao Zhengguan, but he also burned pottery for half his life, and he actually had an immortal fate and obtained the method of becoming an immortal, but he also practiced for three hundred years before becoming an immortal.
Moreover, Wu Xuan looked through this book that seemed to be a biography of the ancient immortals many times, and never found any words about the root bones, but some were more examples of ordinary people cultivating immortals. And these immortals, Wu Xu had never seen them in previous books, and he had never even heard of them.
This is unbelievable for Wu Xu, who has read countless books, thinking of some conversations with Venerable Hongxuan before, Wu Xu faintly had a guess, and as soon as this guess came out, Wu Xu suddenly felt that his scalp was numb, his back was cold, but his heart began to be hot.
Perhaps, cultivation originally did not need a root bone, and the theory of root bone was invented out of thin air at a certain time!
As for the purpose, Wu Xu didn't dare to say anything. For him, the speculation was appalling enough. After that, Wu Xu, who was extremely excited, looked through all the books in the storage bag very seriously, and even looked through all the objects, trying to find out the evidence, but unfortunately found nothing, and Wu Xu, who was unwilling, thought of going outside to find evidence.
The first thing he thought of was the library in the house, and he heard that there were millions of books in it, and they were all ancient books, which were extremely precious. Originally, it was not easy to let people in, but Wu Xu went to beg the old lady, although the old lady was a little confused, but he also immediately passed down an order, allowing him to enter and leave the library at will.
As a result, in the next two months, Wu Xu hid in the library every day to flip through books, and there was a lot of discussion in the house, mostly saying that Wu Xu saw that he could not cultivate immortals and turned to seek officials, although he was pragmatic and progressive, but he was fickle and speculative, after all, he was somewhat despised, etc.
Wu Xu turned a deaf ear to these gossip, and recently he had been driven crazy with excitement by the evidence he kept finding. Millions of books had already been roughly flipped through by him, and there were a total of thirty-three ancient books, seven of which involved cultivation. Wu Xu has almost all of these seven books been torn out, and finally found a lot of evidence.
Among them, there is a strange book called "Haodian", which records a total of one hundred and eight ancient immortals, from the emperor's clan to the era of the Five Emperors. Among these immortals, there are a total of ninety-seven with mediocre qualifications, and their backgrounds are even more varied, and the chances of attaining the Tao seem to be all coincidental. For example, it is recorded that a shepherd boy encountered a dying white crane on the road, and the shepherd boy took the crane home for treatment. Who knew that the crane was actually an immortal mount, but unfortunately encountered the eagle when playing, was attacked by the eagle into a serious injury, the crane was very grateful after healing, one day from the mountain gate out of the mountain gate out of a book flew to the shepherd boy, the shepherd boy with this book into the cultivation, six hundred years later actually became an immortal, self-proclaimed Hongzi.
This Cheng Hongzi shepherd boy was born, and he started cultivating with a book, without anyone to guide him, so he naturally didn't know what the root bone was, but he actually became an immortal, and he was swallowed for six hundred years, which shows that he is also an ordinary qualification. Although it is not excluded that this person happens to have root bones, it doesn't make sense if all the ninety-seven are coincidental, there must be an inevitability behind the accident, and this inevitability is: everyone can cultivate immortals, and the theory of root bones is completely empty!
The other six books are the same, and Wu Xuan can't find any words about the root bones. And what is even more surprising is that Wu Xu found a hundred questions of immortals in a book called "Strange Chronicles of Kyushu", which is now the biography of the pioneer of a small cave, the biography records that the hundred questions of the immortals were poor when they were young, and their parents sold him to human traffickers, and the traffickers resold him to a rich family, who knew that within a year, the rich family was ruined, and the Baiwen immortals were displaced, reduced to beggars, and were broken by other beggars, so that he dragged his broken legs every day in exchange for sympathy and begged for them. After five years, I met a sloppy Taoist by chance, the Taoist just slept, did not eat or drink for three days, Baiwen Immortal thought that he had no money, and could not pull down his face to beg, so he secretly hid three copper to the sloppy Taoist, the Taoist saw that he was so kind-hearted, so he pulled out the boogers and stuffed it for him to eat, Baiwen swallowed the broken leg immediately intact as before, thought that he met the immortal, and was busy kowtowing to the teacher. Who knew that the sloppy Taoist said that his qualifications were too poor and he was not qualified to be his apprentice, so he asked him to go to Shengguo Mountain, 100,000 miles away, to find his apprentice, and after speaking, he turned into smoke and disappeared. Baiwen did not doubt it, along the way nine deaths, and finally came to the Shengdong Mountain to apprentice, but the Taoist also disliked his poor qualifications, unwilling to live or die, Baiwen said the details, the Taoist only knew that it was the order of the master, so he had to pinch his nose and accept his fate, and then it took Baiwen 20 years to get started, almost angry with the master, and then it was eight hundred years later, Baiwen finally became an immortal, and opened up the Baiwen Cave of the 36 small caves.
After Wu Xu read this biography, he only had two impressions of the hundred immortals, one was miserable, the other was stupid, and nothing else. Wu Xu searched among millions of books and found that there were many books involving hundreds of immortals, all of which praised him for his wonderful roots and strong immortal fate since he was a child, like the pride of the sky. Wu Xu was suddenly surprised, none of these books were ancient books, and the oldest was hundreds of thousands of years old, coincidentally, it almost coincided with the time when the five immortal empires were created.
Moreover, in this ancient book "Strange Tales of Kyushu", there are many immortals who are in a similar situation to the Baiwen immortals, and their biographies are all very different from the common sayings that are circulating now.
Because it is likely that there are suspicions that the descendants are the Venerable and even the ancestors, and after all, they are all unique books, and there is too little evidence to support them, which makes people feel unbelievable, so at the beginning, even Wu Xu was a little skeptical about its authenticity.
It wasn't until he unexpectedly saw the following lines of ancient handwriting on the title page of another ancient book: "It is sad that the world burns books, and the world is full of nakedness." This book can be preserved, and the viewer sees it as a fallacy. Woo-hoo-lament-lah!"
The title of this book is "The General Outline of the Daozang".
