Bai Shu shook his head and said, "As the saying goes." Self-inflicted. Karma is what people do, and they are self-inflicted, and others cannot replace it. ”

Liu Youniang was stunned and said: "Niangniang, how can you say that you can take over the karmic fruits of the killing karma created by your father in your father's lifetime?"

Bai Shu said: "You didn't make a vow for your father. Your father is just a cause. Your wish is for the souls of those who died because of your father. With all the merits and blessings you have accumulated in this life, give them to these beings. So that they can die early.

Your father kills a living being. You have to do so much merit for ten souls, can you do it? And your father is not just an ignorant soul, but a monk who has already enlightened his mind and has the opportunity to practice.

If you can have the opportunity to enter the Tao and practice in one lifetime, it is a blessing accumulated over several lifetimes. How do you repay your father's chance to hurt others? Have you ever thought about it?"

When Bai Shu said this, his tone was already very stern.

Liu Youniang thought very well, thinking that to bear all the cause and effect on behalf of her father was to simply worship the prime minister and make offerings. Where is it so simple?

Make a great vow for the Father, and may save the Father from misery. This is filial piety, and everyone who knows it will praise it.

But the great wish is not made arbitrarily. I am willing to do it, and after doing it, I have incredible power. If you can't do it, then it's not a wish, but a lie, and you have to suffer from it.

Liu Youniang lowered her head and was silent, for a long time, before she raised her head and said sincerely: "Niangniang, I have thought about it." I also know it's hard to do, but I'd like to give it a try. ”

A hint of strangeness flashed in Bai Shu's eyes, and he said, "If that's the case." I want to keep you in my temple, take care of the incense for me, and bring people who are destined to come to my temple to make a connection and save you. But this is nothing more than self-deception. Niangniang, wake me up now, why should I be like this again? I'm tired, and I don't want to suffer from such lovesickness again. ”

Liu Youniang bowed down and said: "Niangniang, I would like to stay in the temple, chant sutras every day to give back to sentient beings, and accumulate blessings and virtues for them." I only ask my mother to have mercy and save my father's life. ”

Bai Shu nodded and said, "Okay." It's rare that you have this wish, and you have no complaints. I will grant your request. Please go home now and bring your father to my temple. Remember, come before dark. If it is a quarter of an hour late, it means that you and I have no chance, and your father is not blessed with you to relieve him. ”
