Innate good fortune can make people increase wealth and gain and turn evil into good fortune, but not everyone is necessarily an emperor. When I say the appearance of the supreme, I look at the person's life experience, and he has reached the extreme of the world, just like a person's cultivation, which is a truth. ”

Di listened to the words, Shi Zixuan understood.

The supreme in the mouth does not refer to the co-master of the world, and the human position is extreme. It is the ultimate understanding of mortals in the world. There is a good saying, the heavens will descend on the people, and they must first suffer their minds and muscles.

Li Xuanying has been up and down for half his life, defeated repeatedly, defeated again and again, from the high King of Luling to now being displaced, hiding everywhere and having nowhere to go. There are gains, and there are losses. It can be described as a joy and sorrow of life.

Ancient masters, without hardships and twists and turns, can go all the way smoothly and achieve great things, there are very few. Only those who have experienced vicissitudes and tribulations can make great achievements.

Di heard that Li Xuan should have the appearance of the supreme, and Shi Zixuan also nodded approvingly, and said: "The Venerable said that he has the appearance of the supreme, but I said that he has the accumulation of the supreme. If there is a fate, once the trapped dragon ascends to heaven, it may not be impossible to achieve a great cause. ”

Di Ting said meaningfully: "Then you have to hug this thigh." The future is supreme, but it is rare. Most of the monks who have been able to leave their names in history since ancient times are recorded in the life of the emperor. ”

"I don't seek fame or profit, even if he is really the future supreme, what does it have to do with me?" Shi Zixuan shook his head.

But he said, "You don't ask for it." It doesn't mean that it won't be in the future. I see that you are practicing now, and you are also considered a teacher. It's time to take in the apprentices. In the future, he will establish a path in the world. If you want to have a thousand-year inheritance, one is that your ancestor must be virtuous. Second, there must be an external help. In the world, it is useless to ask for immortals, but it is useful to ask for talents. ”

Shi Zixuan said thoughtfully: "So all cultivators have to stay in the temple and make friends with nobles? But Venerable, in this way, how do the world view cultivators?"

Di Ting said, "What do you say?"

Shi Zixuan said: "When the world looks at cultivators, they should seek detachment from life and death, not fame and fortune. If you make friends with noble people, you will receive their offerings. It is equivalent to receiving its favor, and it must be reciprocated. Venerable, if you are a powerful person, I will be worshiped by you. In the coming day, you will ask me to use my magic to harm others. It doesn't matter if that person is innocent or not, but I am short of hand, and it is difficult to refuse, so what should I do?"

Di Ting thought for a while and said, "Things in the world. When the world solves. If you are supported by others, you will receive the benefits. It deserves something back. But there are precepts in the spiritual world, and there are laws in the human world. When you leave the world, you should follow the precepts, and when you enter the red world, you should abide by the laws of the world. He asked for something. If it is a good deed, it should be helped. If what he asks is evil, let him be persuaded with kind words to dispel this thought. Don't be a fool of a tiger. ”

Shi Zixuan said: "His Holiness said this, but it is a cliché. I'm not talking about how practitioners are, but how the world sees them. In the eyes of ordinary people. Cultivators are detached from life and death and should abide by moral rules, but entering and leaving the temple and being enshrined by the imperial court will inevitably have some 'vulgar hearts', which will make people doubt the law and doubt the law. ”

Di Ting laughed dryly and said, "Your question is too tricky. In ancient times, how many immortal Buddhas and Bodhisattvas incarnated and walked in the world, as you said, led the emperor to be enthroned and worshiped by the world, if you say so, they are all too vulgar!"

Shi Zixuan smiled and said, "No, no." I certainly didn't mean that. ”

Di Ting said: "You don't mean that, but I can hear it. You also don't understand. Hey, to be honest, in my opinion, there is no vulgarity, but there is still selfishness. ”

If there is no selfishness, how can we talk about mercy, how can we talk about compassion, and how can we come to Pudu?

Di Ting told such a story.

Once a Dharma Bodhisattva, he vowed to spread the Dharma to the world and bring 1.2 million people to the land of Buddhahood.

Hundreds of thousands and two hundred thousand people, this is not a small number, but in the heavens, all sentient beings are counted, but they are just a drop in the ocean. To get people out of reincarnation, we must let them hear the Fa, hear the wonder of the Fa, and give birth to the heart of the Dao, so that they can cultivate the good Fa, be a good person, accumulate good deeds, increase blessings and virtues, and then get out of reincarnation.

So this bodhisattva incarnated into the world and became a monk. I live 99 years old, and when my life returns to heaven, how much will I live?

But one hundred and twenty people.

How many people are there who have left reincarnation?

Only four people!

The Bodhisattva returned to heaven and reset, and read the experience of this life, a few helpless, and he also reflected on himself, feeling that there is nothing wrong with the Dharma and the world, why there are so few enlightened people, and those who hear the Dharma to the Tao but do not practice virtue account for the majority.

The Bodhisattva had unsolved doubts, so he went to consult a Qingfu layman, and asked directly: "I want to save people out of reincarnation, I will enter the world in one life, and it is difficult to do my best, you are also from the red dust, from the lost to the awake, you will have enlightenment, can you teach me a way, so that more people can hear the Dharma and enter the Tao?"

Qingfu thought for a moment and asked the Bodhisattva, "Bodhisattva, dare to ask how you teach the Dharma?"

The Bodhisattva said, "Lead by example, practice as an incarnation, and set an example for the world." ”

When the Qingfu monk heard this, he couldn't help but smile and said, "Bodhisattva, so that's the case. But this cannot be said to be useless, but the effect will be very poor. Bodhisattvas who walk the world and lead by example will be admired, worshipped, and admired by all beings. But not necessarily to follow suit. ”

The Bodhisattva was puzzled, "Why is that?"

Qingfu lay monk said: "Because people's hearts are changeable, it is easy to turn to the Tao for a while, but it is difficult to keep the heart. The Lingtai is clear for a while, but the six roots have not disappeared, it is rare not to retreat, repeatedly, the heart yearns, the body sinks, abounds. ”

Qingfu Jushi told a small story in the world, which is very simple, most people in the world have heard of it, that is, Ye Gong is a good dragon.

This person said that he likes dragons, and every person must mention dragons, murals in the home, screens, tables, chairs, benches, dishes, chopsticks, plates, and plates, all painted with dragons.

This person's reputation as a good dragon came out and was heard by an old dragon. Seeing that someone liked him so much, this dragon couldn't help but be moved, so he went to take a look at this Ye Gong.

Who knew that when this person saw the real dragon appear, his first reaction was not the joy of seeing the real dragon, but fear, shouting, and fleeing for his life, leaving only an old dragon stunned.

The Bodhisattva listened to this and said, "I have also heard this story of yours, but it is nothing more than saying that people are not the same as they are, and they are not worthy of the name."

Qingfu Jushi nodded and said, "Yes." Bodhisattva. Just like those people in Pudu, everyone reiterates Buddha, everyone recites sutras, and everyone says they are practitioners. But how many people are there who really practice and really hear the Dharma? Are they sincerely oriented to the Dharma and to the Buddha? Bodhisattvas, it is good for you to set an example, and it is not wrong for you to set an example for all sentient beings. But it only satisfies the idol image in the hearts of others, but it does not benefit their practice. ”

When the Bodhisattva heard this, he nodded with some feeling and said, "Yes." So what to do?"

After thinking about it, Qingfu Jushi came up with an idea and said: "This is the same as doing business, treasures are rare and precious, but there are too few people who can afford to buy them." It is better to take an ordinary thing, small profits but quick turnover, but also to get a lot of benefits. ”

Qingfu lay people talk about human trading.

The Bodhisattva understood what he meant, and couldn't help frowning, "There is some truth in what you said. But I have a great and wonderful true method, and what I preach needs to be a person who has a superior root instrument, and those who have a poor root instrument, although they can also get tangible benefits when they hear it, it is difficult to achieve enlightenment. ”

Qingfu Jushi said with a smile: "Bodhisattva, there are not a few people in the world who have the root apparatus, but they are distributed in a sea of people. The Dharma remains in the world, passed on by word of mouth, if there is a person who hears the Dharma, he will give birth to the heart of the Tao. ”

The Bodhisattva sighed, "If you say so, I can't sell this sutra for a few pieces of silver." ”

Qingfu Jushi smiled and said: "No loss, no loss, whether it is worth it or not, it depends on whether it is sold or not." ”

When Shi Zixuan heard this, he thought for a moment and said, "This layman has said so much, and at this time, it is just two words, propagating the Dharma!"

Shi Zixuan once read the records of a long time ago, when the two schools of Buddhism and Taoism entered the WTO, when they were enlightened by people, they did not spread Dafa as they do now, and opened the door to convenience. Instead, it comes from the fate, one by one, and the inheritance of the law. The people who live are all virtuous and moral people.

But I don't know when it began, whether it is Taoism or Buddhism, there are Taoist Tibetan Buddha Tibetans, which are widely spread to the world, and there are great monks and great people, who open the Dharma and talk about the law of the world.

In this way, the wonderful law has been passed down to the world, and all beings have heard the law, but it is difficult to know that the wonderful words are extraordinary. So there are high-ranking monks and real people, who open the altar to preach the Fa. The world knows its merits, and the court feels its name, so they build temples to make offerings, and entitle them to show their virtues.

The things that are in vain names and clouds, and for true cultivators, they are just dust on their bodies, and they should be dusted away. But he was willing to receive it.

In the eyes of the world, the emperor should not be called, and he left calmly, although he was noble and elegant, and he was admired and envied by the world. But it is useless to propagate the Dharma.

Di Ting nodded and said, "That's right." Promote the Dharma to the world and make good connections. Throughout the ages, the immortals and Buddhas are also groping forward. Nowadays, there is no distinction between Buddhism and Taoism, and all the foreign sects are doing this. ”

Shi Zixuan frowned and said, "In this way, although the Dharma is spread in the world. But I'm afraid it may not be as good as imagined. The Buddha and the Tao in the world may not be true. Although the good law is passed on, it will inevitably ruin its reputation in the future, arouse people's disgust, and make sentient beings suspicious and confused, just like this water and land puja now, and like a stick of incense in front of the statue of the temple. ”

Di Ting sighed: "If you have gain, you will have to lose." There is no such thing as a double dharma in the world. ”

Shi Zixuan nodded and said, "Yes." And there's a problem with that. The law is not separated, and the path is unified. But there is a difference in the world's Taoism. If it is through the hands of the supreme noble person in the world, the Dharma is propagated and inherited, I am afraid that it will provoke criticism. The turmoil in the world comes from this. ”
