Chapter 4 Initial Enlightenment

After the explanation of the "Tao Te Ching" for an hour, it was the beginning of the moon. Ji Ruochen hurriedly ate dinner, and under the guidance of Yunfeng Dao Chief, he walked to the Taichang Palace where Ziyang Zhenren lived.

The mountain peak where Ziyang Zhenren lives is far away from Mogan Peak, and it is the most distant from Mogan Peak among the peaks. There are five huge rocks floating in the air between the two peaks, and the huge rocks are connected by twelve iron cables to form a bridge, maintaining the connection with Mogan Peak. If the disciples of the Nine Veins want to go to the Taishang Daode Palace, those who have enough cultivation will fly with the magic weapon, and those who have poor cultivation will need to step on the rope to cross the bridge. It's just that the peaks of Xixuan Mountain are extremely high, the mountain wind is fierce, and the iron cables are swaying, and it is extremely difficult to walk. But even so, those disciples with mediocre qualifications can cross the bridge without hindrance after three years of penance and laying the foundation of the Dao.

Ji Ruochen doesn't have such magical powers, so he needs the support of Yunfeng Dao to walk from the bridge. He hadn't started yet, and he was so frightened that he crossed the rope bridge this time, but Yun Fengdao said that crossing the rope bridge at this time was a wonderful way to exercise his mind. It was Ji Ruochen who, despite the extreme fear in his heart, still forcibly moved forward step by step on the rope bridge.

The moonlight was cold, the cold wind was howling, Ji Ruochen only had a robe and a set of underwear on his body, although he had lived in the bitter cold place outside the fortress for a long time, but where could he resist the chill of this high-altitude mountain wind? In less than a moment, he had frozen his lips and his face was like frost. As if in harmony with the mountain wind, the thick iron chains under his feet kept vibrating, shaking violently several times from time to time. The iron chains shone in the moonlight, and they had been stepped on by many Taoist disciples over the years, and they looked extremely slippery. Every time Ji Ruochen took three or five steps, he would slip under his feet and step down from the edge of the chain. Beneath the iron rope is the abyss, at a glance, dark and deep, there is no bottom, only the faint clouds can be seen lingering on the waist of the mountain peak. Although every time Ji Ruochen stumbled, he would be pulled back in time by the Cloud Wind Dao Chief, but the frightening again and again was enough to make him frightened and afraid.

Among the bleak peaks, Ji Ruochen's hoarse exclamations could be heard several times at first, but later, his mind gradually became firmer, and he could no longer listen to exclamations.

At the moment of stepping on Taichang Peak, Ji Ruochen let out a long breath, his feet were weak, and his whole body was extremely weak, as if he had collapsed. But this moon down the bridge has left something different in his heart.

Not long after, Ji Ruochen was already standing in front of Ziyang Zhenren. Although his robe was soaked in cold sweat, and his feet were very vain, there was already a slight hint of praise in Ziyang Zhenren's eyes.

The two servants arranged seats for Ji Ruochen, lit a furnace of awake and reassuring East China Sea dew incense, and bowed down. Now is the time when Ziyang Zhenren is teaching the Fa, and the taboo is the most severe. Ziyang Zhenren is the head of the same line, although tonight's teaching is just an introductory lesson that everyone in the Daode Sect will know, but unless Ziyang Zhenren allows it, anyone who sneaks within ten zhang of the Jingshe will be killed.

When Ji Ruochen sat down cross-legged, Ziyang Zhenren stroked his beard and said: "Ruochen, the so-called outline is clear." Therefore, tonight's lesson is to tell you all about the main scriptures of my Daode Sect's practice, so that you can know where to work in your future practice. Otherwise, my Daodaozong inherits the lineage of Guangchengzi, with three main scriptures, three auxiliary scriptures, and twenty-seven key articles. There are 3,600 miscellaneous studies, and 50,000 other Dao treasures, in this vast sea of Dao, where are you looking for your way?"

Hearing this, Ji Ruochen gasped, cheered up at the moment, sat upright, and refused to let go of a word.

Ziyang Zhenren took a sip of tea, and then continued: "My Daodaozong began 3,700 years ago and was established by the Sanqing Patriarch. At that time, the Sanqing patriarch was still Zhenhong, and he practiced in the mountains. The patriarch had arrived at that time, and discovered the place where Guangchengzi ascended to the immortal and ascended, and obtained six articles of the three halal scriptures. Because these three pure scriptures tell about the three realms of Yuqing, Shangqing, and Taiqing, so after a hundred years of cultivation by the patriarch, he changed his name to the three Qing people, and found the blessed land of the West Xuanshan Cave, and built a small Taoist temple, which has since created a line of morality. If you are interested, you can go to the Taishang Daode Palace in the future to read the history of our sect's inheritance, this scripture is not forbidden for disciples to watch. ”

"I think that the three pure scriptures are left by Guangchengzi when he ascended, and there are naturally the secrets of heaven and earth, but if you are not a person with great wisdom, it is difficult to understand the subtle meaning in it. It is to descend from the patriarch of the Three Qing Dynasty, the true people of my Daodao Sect have devoted themselves to the three Qing Sutras, leaving countless experiences and understandings, two thousand years ago, this sect had a Xuankong real person with great wisdom, and the merit was perfected, and the feather soared. Before the ascension, it took three days for the Xuankong real people to compile the handwritten notes of the real people of the sect into twenty-seven tips, thinking that they were supplemented by the three pure scriptures, and since then there has been the Zhongxing of my Daodaozong. ”

These three pure scriptures are supplemented by the three classics of Taixuan, Taiping, and Taiqing, which are collectively known as the Three Qing and Six Classics. The six scriptures are difficult and obscure, and it is difficult for ordinary people to understand, and it is to the Xuankong real person to the saint, the immortal, and the truth correspond to the three clear realms, and each realm is divided into nine realms, and the second is above, high, tai, xuan, heaven, true, god, spirit, and to its name, and each has a Taoist scripture to respond. These three clear six scriptures and twenty-seven auxiliary are the righteous law of my moral sect flying immortals. ”

This tirade made Ziyang Zhenren shake his head and dry mouth, and he was dizzy when he heard Ji Ruochen, and he was in a fog, completely ignorant of what to do. He is a little smart, and he roughly understands that there are twenty-seven scriptures in the Tao Te Sect, and he has to cultivate them one by one, and when he finishes the ghost scriptures that can't tell whether he is a saint or an immortal, it is almost time to ascend to heaven.

Ziyang Zhenren paused, drank the tea in the cup in one go, ignored Ji Ruochen's slightly pale face, and stroked his beard and continued: "In addition to this Flying Immortal Righteous Method, there are many miscellaneous scriptures in my sect, and we can't ignore it. These miscellaneous sutras are divided into 12 general texts, the first text, the second divine runes, the third jade formula, the fourth spiritual diagram, the fifth score, the sixth precepts, the seventh prestige, the eighth method, the ninth public arts, the tenth danding, the eleventh refining instrument, and the twelfth biography, ranging from 200 to 600 parts of each canon, a total of 3,600 books. In addition to the miscellaneous scriptures, there are 50,000 Taoist scriptures, and countless handwritten ...... by the ancestors of the past dynasties."

When it comes to Daozang and the Ancestral Notes, Ziyang Zhenren talked about it and sprinkled a macro treatise, and he really said that it was more than two hours, and the pot of tea had already been drunk by him. However, Ziyang Zhenren is proficient in humane methods, summoning a clear spring with a wave of his hand, and using the real fire as a guide, and in a moment there is a new pot of tea in his hand. Ziyang Zhenren talked happily, every time there were macro and witty words, which had never been sent before, and he had a deep knowledge of Taoism, which could really match his respected identity. It's just that Ji Ruochen has just started to learn literacy today, how can he comprehend the meaning of Ziyang Zhenren's subtle words? Ziyang Zhenren's move is really playing the piano to the cow.

Ji Ruochen was already dizzy and drowsy when he heard it, but the immortal master was preaching, how could this disciple not listen attentively? Therefore, although he didn't understand ten out of ten sentences, he still beat his spirit, insisted on sitting upright, gritting his teeth and memorizing by rote.

It wasn't until the dead of night that Ziyang Zhenren's rambling remarks were over. Rao is Ji Ruochen has been wandering since he was a child, and he is used to a hard life, and at this time, he is sore all over his body and his feet are weak.

It was only at this time that Ziyang Zhenren gave Ji Ruochen a mantra, telling him to follow the formula, perform the exercises twice a day, collect the essence of the sun in the morning, and absorb the moonlight in the evening, saying that this is the beginning of the path of ascension. Ji Ruochen wrote it down attentively and asked a few more questions, and then he retreated exhausted.

This macro theory said that Ziyang Zhenren was refreshed, and his face was full of red light, as if the true yuan had entered another layer. He looked at Ji Ruochen's departing figure, but he just stroked his beard and smiled, unspeakably satisfied.

After that, Ji Ruochen morning and evening according to the Ziyang Zhenren taught the trick to spit out the exercises, the first half of the month in the Taichang Palace to study the Taoism, the second half of the month in the Taishang Daode Palace to receive the seven veins of the real person teaching, every night to listen to the old gentleman to explain the words, every night back and forth to step on the rope to cross the bridge, is the Yunfeng Dao chief to take care of him.

As a month passed, the Tao Te Sect gradually calmed down again.

At this time, it is the end of autumn and early winter in the northland, and there is occasionally heavy snowfall. Although Xixuan Mountain is protected by a magic circle, the peak is as warm as spring in all seasons, but it is also gradually showing a chill.

At this time, on the vast snowfield, the cold wind is howling, and the lead clouds are hanging low. In the middle of the snowfield, a young man in rags was standing, looking around blankly, looking at a loss. A cold wind hit, and he shivered with cold, and hurriedly retracted his hand into his sleeve. In the midst of the whining wind, there were suddenly several faint wolf howls. The young man's face changed greatly, and he immediately turned his ear to distinguish the direction from which the wolf howl came, and then raised his head to the sky, looked at the sky, and immediately chose a direction and ran wildly!

It's just that the hungry wolf came extremely quickly, and before the boy could run a few steps, a giant wolf had already burst out of the wind and snow. Its mane was like iron, and its saliva was dripping from its fangs, and it ran all the way, silently stepping on the snow, and its green eyes stared at the young man.

The young man seemed to know that he could not escape, so he suddenly made up his mind, turned to meet the hungry wolf, and wanted to fight to the death. The hungry wolf slowed down and began to circle the boy. It was so hungry that it only circled twice before it jumped to its feet, and with a vicious wind it bit the boy's throat!

The young man pinched the trick with his left hand, and faced the evil wolf with his right hand, and shouted: "Heaven and earth extinguish, break!" However, he drank the spell, but it had no effect at all, only this hesitant effort, the evil wolf was already in front of him! The young man suddenly rolled on the spot, and let the hungry wolf pounce when he couldn't make a move. However, at this moment of death and life, instead of running away, he turned around and pounced on the evil hunger, grabbed the wolf's ear, and bit the wolf's neck fiercely!

A man and a wolf tumbled and fought to the death for a long time, and there was no winner or loser. The boy was so familiar with the wolf nature that he seemed to have fought at least a few times, and at this time, when his life was at stake, he had already aroused the potential of his whole body, and it was only then that he could fight the wolf to a draw. However, he was still young after all, and although he had bitten the back of the hungry wolf's neck to a bloody blur, his strength had been exhausted, and he could no longer suppress the hungry wolf, and he was thrown to the ground in one fell swoop. The hungry wolf bit the boy's calf, his sharp teeth rubbing against his bones, making a tooth-souring sound.

It bit the boy and dragged him all the way into the snow.

Ji Ruochen shouted, sat up suddenly, and realized that it was just a dream of Nan Ke just now. It's just that his leg hurts so badly that he really seems to have been bitten by the hungry wolf in his dream. Ji Ruochen took off his shoes and socks, rolled up his trousers, and carefully examined his legs. The skin on his legs was intact, but there were many scars crisscrossing it. There are two neat rows of circular scars on the right calf, which look as if they have been bitten by some wild beast, and they bite very deeply.

Ji Ruochen gently stroked the scar on his leg. At that time, he was only seven or eight years old, wandering from inside the gate to outside the fortress, and accidentally encountered a hungry wolf roaming the Gobi. Although he was young at that time, he also had a fierce spirit in his bones, and he was on the line between life and death, so he resisted desperately and struggled for a while. Just when the hungry wolf finally bit down Ji Ruochen and was about to drag him back to the nest to share the food, the big shopkeeper of the Longmen Inn happened to pass by and heard Ji Ruochen's cry. So he rushed to the horse, and a large kitchen knife of pig iron slashed into the head of the hungry wolf, and brought the dying Ji Ruochen back to the inn for treatment, which allowed him to save a small life. The scar on the right leg was left by the hungry wolf.

In the six years of the Dragon Gate Inn, Ji Ruochen has clothes to wear, food to eat, and a shelter from the wind and rain when sleeping, so he can sleep peacefully, in fact, it is the happiest period of his life since he can remember. At this time, in retrospect, it was the shopkeeper's wife's drink, which was also very kind. Although there was no place in the Dragon Gate Inn that could compare to the Taishang Daode Palace, for some reason, he still had some hope to return to the inn in the desert outside the Saiwai.

Although this place is good, it is not my home.
