Chapter 14: The Light Curse
Lu Zheng slept for a long time, but after waking up, something strange happened! His ears actually returned to normal hearing, everything around him could be heard clearly, and his speech also returned to normal, no longer like a mosquito. What's more, his sense of hearing seems to be sharper than before. It's just that the eyes don't know what's going on, and they still can't see clearly.
The ascetic monk was surprised, fearing that there would be a change, so he quickly probed with the eyes of the sky, and found that the six white yin qi had undergone some wonderful changes, and the swirling yin qi vortex became large and small, flat and round, the most obvious thing is that the color of these six yin qi is no longer white, but each has some changes, the white air mass in the spleen faintly appears cyan, the most obvious is the white air mass from the kidneys, and the whole has gradually become a faint yellow.
The dervish did not know what caused such a change, and it was speculated that the yin poison had changed again, but the change in the yin poison had restored the function of his five senses. Could it be that the brilliance emitted by the jade pendant could not only resist the yin poison, but also have a healing effect? But the brilliance emitted by the jade pendant was clearly suppressed near the heart veins! The dervishes frowned for a moment.
But Lu Zheng didn't seem to pay attention to whether his ears could hear or not, and since he woke up, he didn't talk much, his expression was dull and dull, so he sat there in a daze, and he answered whatever the ascetic asked. The dervishes don't speak, and he doesn't speak. He loved to listen to all kinds of fairy stories since he was a child, but at this time he didn't show any curiosity about the various magical powers displayed by the ascetics, and now that the function of his five senses has recovered, he doesn't have much joy.
The ascetic knew that he had a jade pendant to protect him, and although the snake venom was fierce, it was not a big problem for a while, but this child had accumulated all his grief and grief in his heart, but it was very detrimental to the poison. He sighed and stepped forward to hand Lu Zheng a bamboo tube filled with water.
Lu Zheng said xiexie and took it silently. The cyan bamboo tube still carries the fragrance of freshly broken bamboo, but the edges of the broken are carefully polished to a very smooth surface, apparently for fear that the lips of the drinker will be cut. Lu Zheng sensed the dervishe's concern, moved in his heart, turned his face to the ascetic, and said softly: "Great monk, thank you for saving me...... Brother Jiu, it's his bad life. After saying that, big tears flowed from his eyes, but he never cried. He thought about it carefully, and finally had to accept this fact, Tang Xiaojiu probably still gave it to the monsters.
The ascetic wanted to say a few words of comfort, but when he saw this little boy like this, his heart was also sour, and he was afraid that what he said would make him sad, and he didn't know what to say for a while, so he had to keep his mouth shut and began to chant mantras.
Lu Zheng's heart was miserable, and when he heard the voice of the great monk chanting, it was peaceful and ethereal, with a long meaning, and there was a sense of depth and detachment, and he couldn't help but be immersed in it for a while. He was highly poisonous, his vitality was weak, and his heart was grief-stricken, and he fell asleep for a few days, and it was difficult to distinguish between day and night, when he heard the sound of chanting, there was a rare trace of peace in his heart, and his mood gradually calmed down, and he couldn't help asking: "Great monk, what are you reading? It's so good, I feel very comfortable listening to it." ”
The dervish stopped chanting and explained: "This is the Buddhist mantra 'Pure Heart Mantra', which is my Buddhist practice method, one of the four great aspiration mantras, and the mana is infinite. ”
Lu Zheng thought about the spell in his heart, nodded obediently, and stood up, but he felt weak and had no strength, and he didn't know what to do. The dervishes had already stepped forward to carry him on his back and strode to the west.
Lu Zheng lay on his broad shoulders and said with a little twist: "Great monk, it's really ...... I'm really sorry, I have to work hard for you to carry me, and when I can leave, you can let me go by myself. Great monk, you have such a great ability, you can subdue monsters, you must be a Buddha and Bodhisattva, right?" He finally remembered that this monk had an extraordinary background.
The ascetic recited a Buddha name and said, "Little benefactor, the poor monk is just a practitioner who learns Buddhism, and he has not attained the bodhisattva fruition, let alone the Buddha fruit. ”
Lu Zheng was a little unconvinced, and asked: "You are not a Bodhisattva, nor a Buddha?" Then how can you have such great skills, the monsters have been repelled by you, and you can still take me so far in so many days?"
The ascetic replied a sentence that Lu Zheng didn't understand very well, and he said: "All supernatural powers, everyone has their own self-sufficient. ”
Lu Zheng was puzzled when he heard this, so he secretly guessed that the great monk was unwilling to say more, and he originally intended to ask how he could learn the same magical skills as him, so that he could learn to avenge the ninth brother when the time came. But he has always had a weak personality, he has never had any opinions, he is not willing to ask for help easily, and he doesn't dare to speak for a while.
He didn't ask, and the ascetic was not a man of many words, and the two walked silently. After a while, Lu Zheng thought about Tang Xiaojiu's tragic death, and finally couldn't help but ask, "Great monk, I want to learn the ability to fight monsters from you, is it okay?"
As he walked, the ascetic asked, "Do you want to avenge your companion?" Lu Zheng didn't expect the ascetic to directly expose his thoughts, thinking that he was willing, and hummed heavily behind his back.
The ascetic shook his head and said, "The way of cultivation cannot be practiced for the sake of revenge, so it is easiest to fall into the devil! ”
The ascetic refused so directly, Lu Zheng was disappointed in his heart, he didn't have Tang Xiaojiu's cheeky and stubborn ability, and he whispered 'oh' at the moment, and then stopped talking. Thinking about it, although this monk saved him, it was already a great kindness, but it was impossible to teach such a great skill to a person for no reason.
The ascetic said: "In fact, life is everywhere in practice, and the poor monk's cultivation is shallow, and there is nothing to teach you." But there is still some way to go to a place where you can be healed. I might as well teach you some mantras when you have nothing to do, and if you can recite them all the time, it won't be helpful, would you like to learn them?"
Lu Zheng didn't expect such a turnaround, and hurriedly said, "Really, Great Monk, are you willing to teach me, is it the heart-purifying mantra just now?"
The dervishes shook his head and said, "The Pure Heart Mantra is one of the four great wish mantras, the syllables are complicated, it is not easy to learn, and you have been poisoned now, I am afraid that your mind will be dissipated too much." The poor monk should teach you a simple one, first recite the six-character light mantra, recite this mantra, and plant a bright heart, which should also be of some benefit to you. Would you like to learn?"
The six-character light mantra, I vaguely remember that it seems that the monks of Qinglong Temple recite this every morning and evening, and even Mingkong will do it! I was very disappointed, and I suspected that the ascetics were unwilling to teach him, so they deliberately prevaricated like this. But thinking of the fairy stories he usually heard, maybe this might be the great monk testing him, so he hurriedly said: "Of course I am willing to learn, as long as the great monk is willing to teach me." ”
Hearing Lu Zheng always call him a great monk, the ascetic suddenly remembered that Tang Xiaojiu called him master one by one. Two children, one is called his master, and the other is called him the great monk. Lu Zheng didn't ask his Dharma name, and the ascetic didn't say anything, so Lu Zheng called him a great monk, and when he heard him say that he wanted to learn, he was also happy in his heart, and said, "You are willing to learn, that's great." Now I have nothing to do, just time to study. This mantra of light is short, but its merits are very special, and it is the basis of all mantras, and it enables people to know the bodhi mind. Listen well, I'm done, you follow along, don't make a mistake. ”
Although Lu Zheng didn't understand what merit and bodhi heart were, the monks in Qinglong Temple seemed to often say this, so he asked: "What does merit mean? Does it mean that if you recite this mantra, you will become very powerful, and the monks in Qinglong Temple chant mantras all day long, and they may not be very powerful!" He was always worried that what mantras the ascetics taught were perfunctory, so he deliberately asked.
The ascetic said: "When mortals recite mantras, they just shake their lips and tongues, which naturally has no effect, and you must know that the root of holding mantras is to hold the heart." As he spoke, he recited a mantra, which sounded in Lu Zheng's heart, and the pronunciation was very strange, and he didn't understand what it meant at all, but he could barely hear it clearly, it should be six words. But Lu Zheng heard it in his ears, and suddenly felt a refreshment in his heart, as if the feeling of depression and sadness in his heart was much less, and he was sure that the ascetic did not fool himself, but he really wanted to teach himself, so he followed up and learned a sentence, but it did not have the kind of miraculous effect that the ascetic recited it.
The dervish read it again, this time he deliberately slowed down the speed of his speech, and Lu Zheng could distinguish his voice, which was the six pronunciations of Om, Ma, Ng, Horn, Mi, and Ng.
When the ascetic recited the sound of the word Om, Lu Zheng felt a shock in his heart, his heart was relieved, and his heart was as firm as King Kong; when he reached the sound of the two words, he had a sense of relaxation in his body and mind, and he only felt that his mind was free from discomfort, and he had a sense of freedom to sway his wishes. When it comes to the sound of the three words, it seems to be completely dirty, and the body and mind are indescribably clean and transparent, like a lotus flower after the rain.
All kinds of feelings converge, but Zuihou's changes are silent in the bottom of his heart, which makes him have a joy that is difficult to suppress. Lu Zheng was overjoyed, and he also learned this mantra at the moment, but it still did not have the effect that the ascetic chanted it, but he also felt that the sound came from the heart, surging with joy, and he couldn't help but recite it a few more times.
He read it happily, but he didn't know that the ascetics were listening to it, but he was extremely surprised. Lu Zheng recited the incantation with him, although he didn't have any mana, but he did the incantation from the heart and resonated with his heart. This is extremely difficult, although the mana is not seen for a while, and it is not effective, but over time, it will have miraculous results. Could it be that this kid's heart is hurting, so he is extra focused, he thought for a long time, and said: "Well, you have learned very hard, now that you have learned this light mantra, let's learn a more difficult one, let's learn the heart mantra." ”
Lu Zheng was naturally very happy when he heard that he was willing to teach himself the Pure Heart Mantra, and he was full of applause at the moment. The ascetic monk said, "The so-called four great aspirations are the four immeasurable aspirations for the study and practice of Buddhism, namely pure mind, renunciation, compassion, and bodhichitta, also known as the four immeasurable minds. The mantra of pure mind is the basis of these four vows, and the pure mind is born by holding this mantra. The so-called pure and unstained, pure heart means that everything is pure and undefiled, so all wisdom and merit come from a pure heart. Then the dervish reminded Lu Zheng: "Listen carefully." At that moment, he recited the first sentence of the Pure Heart Mantra, and Lu Zheng followed the first sentence.
This spell is a little more complicated than just now, but it has the same strange pronunciation, but Lu Zheng learned it decently, but the voice is as thin as a gnat. The dervishew praised him, and while teaching the following sentence, Lu Zheng still read it well.
There were only twenty verses of the Pure Heart Mantra, and it didn't take long to finish it. The dervish said, "Now I will read it in its entirety, and you will listen attentively." The next sentence did not stop, and recited the pure heart mantra again, the voice was mellow, without any fireworks, and Lu Zheng listened very comfortably.
After reciting it again, the ascetic was about to ask Lu Zheng how he felt, but he didn't expect Lu Zheng to draw a gourd in the same way, and recited the heart-purifying mantra again. It turned out that he thought that the ascetics had taught him a sentence before, and let him follow it. At this moment, the dervishes taught one, and he naturally had to read one too.
