Volume 1 The Beginning Prologue
This continent has experienced the age of the gods for 1,922 years since the Age of Chaos, and ushered in the Heroic Age because of the victory of the God of Light over the God of Order, and was named Ebel (taken from the name of the God of Light: Abel Brilliant).
"It's a world of oppression and power struggles, but this is the land I love. The kingdom of Alex was born out of blood and fire. From the moment the king stretched out his hands to the poor, I swore allegiance to the kingdom of Alex and to Veron Richard, and it was the glory of my life. —From The Ebel Era by the iron-blooded poet Bard Evan.
Glori Carlos loves this passage from the book because he loves the world too.
However, King Veron's plan to free the poor was thwarted. From December 1987 to the present day (December 28, 2022), the powerful have used conspiracies against King Velen at every turn, assassinating or blatantly hiring thugs against people with different ideas. Among those who were taken care of by the aristocracy were not only the poor at the bottom of society, but also the princes and ministers who extended a helping hand to the poor.
Glori was born in such an environment. He was born into a family of ordinary people and faced bullying from the nobility since he was a child. Later, he couldn't stand it anymore, and he couldn't watch his partners around him being beaten, scolded and teased by those boys. So, he wanted to stand up and defend everything he cherished with both hands. In the end, he finally got his wish, worshiped under the disciple of the Divine Knight Law Mayne, and became a magic swordsman who fought for the future with his blood.
Glori immersed himself in the study of swordsmanship, but it didn't last long......
"The king's wish has not yet been fulfilled, and a new calamity has ushered in. The Honorable Master of the Templar Order, Kyle Austin, returns with glory, and we should be celebrating with singing and dancing, but we must face his betrayal!" – from the diary of the Holy Mage Xavier Noah.
As described in the diary. On the night of March 10th, Kyle returned, and he and the Grim Reaper Mage Yura Dodge opened the Black Tower that sealed the Order. At the same time, Kyle becomes the King of Order.
"The night has come again, and only those who are steadfast in their faith can keep the flame of hope alive. —from the last sentence of Bud Evan's book The Ebert Era.
At this moment, Glori Carlos was hurriedly carried onto a stretcher, and the book "The Ebel Era" was in his hand. He rarely reads such books about history, but now he has to use them to relieve his tense nerves.
The City of Miracles (Millerkel), where Glorie is located, is a thousand-year-old city, a place of almost all knowledge, and a highly worshipped city.
Legend has it that the last battle of the God of Light was at Millekel. There is a huge statue in the city, carved of the only human who could stand in front of the King of Order at that time, the first Divine Knight. This is the city where the Divine Knights have been lords, and at this time it is the last line of defense of the Terrans.
Tonight, the lecture hall was crowded with evacuees.
"Glori, I won't lose the next sword fight. If you don't talk about it, you'd better heal quickly, because Basta needs us. Fifteen-year-old Dylan Borez stood guard in the corner with Glori Carlos lying on a stretcher and looked at him defiantly with blue eyes. He was dressed in gray armor and carried a shield and a sword on his back. He was always vigilant, and soon smiled that the sky was all right, and stroked the cat that ran in.
Glori Carlos is accompanied by sixteen-year-old Susan Shirley. She was dressed in a light blue dress, with a chic Alice flower embroidered with white silk thread, a layer of embroidered white gauze sleeves protruding from the cuffs, and a longbow beside her. She was holding a bandage and was gently bandaging the wounded person's wounds, then carefully tying the bow.
Glori Carlos, who is four months younger than Dylan, wears a brown dress and short black hair. At this point, Glori was powerless and remorseful, and clenched his fists. He wanted to get up and go out to join the fight against the invaders, but the injury only added to his troubles. His brown eyes were full of melancholy. He looked down at the wounded soldiers who had hunted with him in the house, and looked out the window at the strange guards.
"I wish I hadn't been so reckless last time I went out, and now I'm just lying here. Glori let out a cool breath.
Dylan knew what Glori meant, so he looked through the window to see what was going on.
"It's so dark outside. Brother, don't think about it. You're covered in bandages, how can you get out? You'd better stay here, Susan and I will take good care of you. You've done a lot......" Dylan comforted Glori.
Glori was worried, but still looked at the window. His magic was weak, but he could detect the fluctuations of his magic that were full of the desire to kill.
The moonlight outside the lecture hall had dimmed, and it was pitch black except for the light of the torches on the city walls. But there is also a suffocating sense of oppression looming, and it is quietly approaching.
Suddenly, the black clouds in the center of the city were dense, and several black lightning bolts struck, blasting the already scarred central square even more unbearable. Then, the lightning scorched transformed into a portal.
The alarm sounded in the city, and the guards of the tower frantically rang the alarm bell, as if they had seen death coming, and then they picked up their spears and rushed down like crazy.
The Order Legion and the Waning Moon Legion poured out of the portal one after another, like monsters hunting with strange weapons. Their eyes are creepy, and they look around at the people and buildings around them. Then, a few more black bolts of lightning, and three men in black cloaks appeared on the bell tower, and the legions fought with the guards under their orders.
In the gloomy night sky, people desperately resisted to protect their children, and the children who lost their parents cried next to the corpses, and the sky finally couldn't help crying, and the rain was majestic.
The boiling screams of the people in the city mingled with the sounds of fighting, and the breath in was cold and bloody, all of which made people dizzy. Smoke was everywhere, sparks were flying in the smoke, houses were on fire, flames that could not be extinguished even in the rain—dark fires, monsters seemed to celebrate, and people fought frantically for survival. This war is like mere killing. Even so, the blood of the strong is the opposite of the cold armor - people move forward.
After a while, the dead leaves on the ground were blown up and floated all the way to the side of the lecture hall.
"Damn, I've found this place," Dylan Borez jumped out of the window, sent a flame slash, knocked a passing Remnant Moon soldier to the ground, flipped back to the window, and then turned back to the crowd with a relaxed face, "Safety!"
The crowd became more cautious and did not dare to make a sound. Glori watched as it all happened.
A middle-aged man with a strange expression suddenly stood up, pointed at Dylan, and said vicious words: "Damn hairy boy, get out of here!
As soon as the man's voice fell, the room fell silent.
Suddenly, a bang shattered the awkward situation, and Glori Carlos in the corner slammed his fist into the wall.
"People like you ......" was about to say something reproachful, but Glori thought that he couldn't do anything to help everyone when he was lying down now, so he blamed himself for half of the words.
Susan Shirley, who was sitting on the carpet with her legs bent, was a little sad, and couldn't suppress her mood at the moment, with tears in the corners of her eyes: "Everyone should help each other!"
Dylan Borez, who was standing at the window, shrugged his shoulders. His eyes were bright, and he still kept smiling: "It's going to be fine, haha." ”
Gradually, the crowd regained their composure to the hearty laughter of Dylan Borez.
The night fades, dawn is coming, however, it is also the end of it all. Glori already knew all this, because a hurried herald had just passed by the lecture hall.
"Protect the women and children, and evacuate from the secret passages! This is the order of Lord Basda!'The last hope can only be pinned on you!, children, you must live!Awaken the dragon god and save the kingdom of Alex." The herald shouted. He rode a horse, and his body was covered with a thick stain of blood, which could even reflect the moon.
Those bloodthirsty demons are everywhere. They knocked down the guards, and they had to rummage through the civilians, old and young, women and children, all under the blade.
A diminutive spirit emerges from the ground and breaks into the lecture hall, just in time to catch up with the evacuated ranks of civilians. It stretches nightmarish-sharp claws to intercept civilians and warriors alike.
The spirit chased all the way into the tunnel. Susan and Dylan were carrying Glori's stretcher and were pushed to the ground. So, they had no choice but to walk.
The warriors escorted the children out of the tunnel with their lives. However, the tunnel is a bit strange: what used to be two passages has now become one.
Glori's anger soared until he was short of breath. "Those villains always like to take advantage of loopholes, and from time to time they jump out to seek benefits, and now they are trading the passage of life. Is human life so low?" he was indignant. He looked at the crowd from afar, and of course the little man was not among them, but he saw what was behind him.
"Spear of Dragon Flame!"
Glori picked up a longsword and threw it with what little magic he had left, and slammed straight through the chasing spirit with unmistakable accuracy.
Soon, Glori, who was staggering around the wall in bandages and leaning against the wall, was dispersed by the crowd. Dylan Borez kept shouting the name: "Glori Carlos!"
Susan Shirley was so worried that she clenched her bow and arrows in her hands and looked around. However, she couldn't understand why the tunnel had been found by the monsters.
The people fought and retreated, and were forced into the harbor...... And the port is full of soldiers of the Wanyue Clan......
Subsequently, a large earthquake trembled, and the entrance to the tunnel was obscured. Glori knew that the City of Miracles had fallen into the hands of the King of Order. He swayed and was squeezed to the other side of the tunnel by the chaotic crowd.
Doom haunted Glori like a greedy nobleman. The narrow tunnel was swallowed up by the restless underground river, and Glori's feet slipped and fell, even hitting a scrap brick. As a result, he lost consciousness.
The phrase "Awaken the dragon god and save the ...... of Alex's kingdom" kept echoing in Glori's mind.
