Faqu, also known as Fa Le, was first seen in the book "Fa Xian Biography" (the travels of the monk Fa Xian of the Eastern Jin Dynasty) in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, and was named after the Dharma ceremony used in Buddhism, and Faqu was introduced to China from India during the Sui Dynasty.

According to the "New Tang Dynasty Book of Rites and Music XII", it is recorded: "At the beginning, the Sui Dynasty had a law song, during which it was clear and elegant, and there were twists, cymbals, chimes, bells, flutes, and pipa. ......
