Chapter 52: On the Word
The head of Sun Da, as well as the two little followers Yu Xiaoyue and Dr. Yuan, returned to the coast in a beautiful manner under the protection of the naval fleet.
After arriving at the station, there was a grand welcome ceremony held by the people, and Miss Yu, as the honorary head of the Huaguo auction group, had to be watched by everyone for a long time.
And Sun Xiang was not interested in this kind of lively occasion, so he left everyone to go back to the Yu family's mansion first. When he returned to China this time, the main thing was to find a way to persuade his daughter to lie in the freezer, and he would find a way to resurrect his daughter in the future.
But Sun Yulan rejected the attempt at immortality, and Sun Xiang had no other way. I can only try to spend more time with my daughter in the last moments. As a father, he was absent from his daughter's life, which is a regret that can never be filled.
Sun Yulan sat on the Taishi chair on the balcony and read a book in the bright skylight. The moon season on the edge of the balcony is bright, and Yu Xiaoyue is not there these days, and Yan Xiaoice is helping to water it.
Maybe it's because of Sun Xiang's strength, or maybe it's planning some other conspiracy, Yu Xingwen and Yu Xiangchen, the father and son, haven't come to harass Sun Yulan in the past few days. Therefore, the old lady is rarely idle these days.
Of course, this kind of relaxation refers to mental relaxation. Physiologically speaking, the cancer cells in Sun Yunlan's body have spread, and the intense pain torments her. She had a powerful analgesic at her hand, and she had to take it every few hours.
This is the only medicine Sun Yulan is willing to take.
When Sun Xiang walked up to the second floor of the small building, he saw such a scene. Many years ago, this Taishi chair was his place. Later, when her daughter was a little older, she liked to occupy her father's seat, so Sun Xiang gave her this best position.
The years take away many things, but the years also leave many things behind. My daughter read "Three Character Classic" here back then, but now she reads "Zhou Yi".
Seeing the cover of "Zhou Yi", Sun Xiang's heart was full of sorrow, and the joy of going home was gone.
Sun Yulan raised her eyes and looked at Sun Xiang.
"Coming back?"
"It's back. β
"Where's the smile?"
"I am participating in the event to welcome Yuxi back to China. β
Sun Yulan took off her reading glasses and put them aside casually, a little relieved: "Lord Lowe Khan talked to me on the phone last night, and Xiaoxiao did well this time." β
"Yes, yes. Sun Xiang moved a small stool and sat opposite Sun Yulan.
"You don't seem to be happy. Sun Yulan asked.
Sun Xiang didn't answer, but took the book in his daughter's hand and flipped through it. This is a wire-bound version of Zhou Yi, some years old, but there is nothing special.
Sun Yulan knew what he was thinking, sighed wistfully, and said, "Dad, my death is coming.
When I was a child, you taught me that the life of a typical Chinese intellectual should start with the study of the "Three Character Classic" and end with the "Zhou Yi". My life has come to an end, and research is my last job. β
The head of Sun Da scratched his hair in annoyance and returned the book to his daughter. Of course, what the daughter said is not wrong, but as a father, it is difficult to accept the fact that his daughter is about to leave.
Sun Yulan saw her father's entanglement.
Cicero said that a great drama must consist of two elementsβthe inevitable death, and the life that must go on.
I think it's fitting that this sentence is given to both of us, and perhaps you should take this drama of life as normal. β
The head of Sun Da was preached by his daughter, glared, and corrected: "This sentence was said by Tacitus!"
β...... Is it in my father's eyes that I will always be the little girl who doesn't understand anything?"
"Otherwise, the child will always be a child in the eyes of the parents. β
Sun Yulan smiled, this argument will never come to fruition.
And this situation made her think of a lot of interesting things. Many years ago, she pestered her father in this chair and asked many questions.
She asked why the sky was blue, why birds could fly, and what a rainbow was. With a helpless expression, her father answered her question by question and told her one truth after another.
On the road of life after that, although there was no father to accompany her, the truth of her father's education has always accompanied Sun Yulan. And step by step with her to the top.
Thinking of this, Sun Yulan had a plan in her heart. She asked, "Father, there are many things I don't understand this week. Can you answer my questions?"
Sun Xiang saw the seriousness in his daughter's eyes, and he realized that the question Sun Yulan was about to ask was extraordinary.
He perked himself up and said, "You ask, I answerβas long as I know." β
Sun Yulan nodded.
"The first question: Does a person have a soul after death?"
Sun Xiang replied: "People have three souls and seven spirits, which correspond to the three self and seven senses of human beings. After death, the seven spirits immediately dissipated between heaven and earth, and the three souls returned to their origins with what they had gained in this life. β
Sun Yulan asked: "What origin do you return to? Heaven and hell? Or is it the underworld? Is there reincarnation as the Buddhism says?"
Sun Xiang replied, "Reincarnation is a large-scale cultivation system built by cultivators in the last era of spiritual energy. After the aura was depleted, the system had collapsed. Now that humans die, the three souls will directly return to their origins. β
Sun Yulan asked, "What is the origin?"
Sun Xiang replied: "It is difficult to describe this question concretely, because the origin is a pure conceptual existence, some people call it the sea of knowledge, and some people call it the higher will. In your paper, you call it the eleventh dimension. β
When Sun Yulan heard this, she couldn't believe it. She was a little surprised, a little apprehensive, and asked, "Father, have you read my papers? Aren't you a cultivator?"
Sun Xiang said: "Why, people who cultivate the Tao don't understand science? Isn't science a kind of Tao? I have carefully read every one of your papers. Some of the arguments are insightful, some are pure nonsense. β
"Which ones are wrong, please correct!"
Before founding Luhe Group, Sun Yulan was a very successful mathematician. If someone says to her face that her thesis is nonsense, she will definitely argue with reason.
But if it was said by my father, what could I do? When the head of Sun Da started to speak, everyone had to listen carefully. Because in the memories of childhood, my father knew everything and could do everything. It was so impressive that it still is.
Sun Xiang raised his hand, signaled Sun Yulan to be restless, and listened to him slowly:
"Do you remember your article "The Geometric Nature of the Extradimensional Universe"?"
Of course I remember, but the paper was widely criticized by peers and eventually retracted by the journal because of the flaws in the formula for deriving the eleventh-dimensional universe. β
"There's nothing wrong with your train of thought, and your paper is almost touching the edge. You only made one mistake, which was to mistake the time dimension as an axis when calculating the 11 dimensions. But the reality is that the dimension of time collapsed into a point at that very point. β
Sun Xiang sighed regretfully and added: "In those years, I sent you a few Buddhist scriptures, if you are willing to patiently flip through them, you may be able to correct this fatal mistake." β
Sun Yulan wondered: "I do research, and I rarely read books about religion. β
Sun Xiang said: "Buddhism is not a religion, but one of the most successful sects in the Xuanmen. Many Buddhist scriptures, the first sentence of the opening is: If I hear it, for a while, the Buddha is in the country to give the garden of solitude. This already makes the answer clear.
What do you think is the Garden of Solitude?"
Old lady Sun Yulan was really stunned, and she exclaimed incredibly: "God!"
Sun Xiang continued to answer questions: "Yes, the Garden of Solitude is the eleventh dimensional space, that is, the Origin Knowing Sea. In this dimension, the past, present, and future exist at the same time.
That's why every time the Buddha gave a lecture, there were always more bhikshunis than the sands of the Ganges to listen.
Because His Word transcends time and space. The ultimate destination of all intelligent life is the source, and the original origin of all intelligent life is still the source. There is a wave in the Origin, and that is a new personality. When the waves fall and calm returns, this independent personality returns to its roots.
Life is such a process of ups and downs. β
"If that's what life is, then why are you sad, Father?"
"My sad thing is. Sun Xiang held back his grief and stroked his daughter's silver hair, "I will never see this wave again." β
The two were silent for a long time, Sun Yulan collected her mood and asked again.
"The second question, what is the Tao? Is it an immutable ultimate truth, or is it an initial impulse?"
Sun Xiang shook his head and replied, "Your question is too big, and it is the answer that all cultivators like me have pursued all their lives. I can't answer you systematically, but I can only tell you something that I know. β
"The first point is that the Tao and the truth are a chicken-and-egg relationship.
Lao Tzu said that the essence of the Tao is nothingness, and in fact the truth is also the same.
There is no distinction between the two before and after, and initially it is emptiness and nothingness.
Your modern science naively believes that there is one or several immutable truths in this world, such as formulas such as the mass-energy equation. You think that these formulas or truths can explain the whole world, and the only regret is that humanity cannot fully grasp these truths at this stage. β
"That's not the case?" Sun Yulan asked.
Sun Xiang nodded in confirmation: "This is indeed not the case. Truth, or rather, is nothingness in nature. And it is precisely because of the exploration of intelligent life that the Tao came into being. Cultivators pay attention to preaching. What is preaching, is the way of turning the word in one's heart into reality. β
Sun Yulan thought for a long time, and then asked: "You mean that in the universe, there was no mass-energy equation, because of Einstein's research, so the sun carried out nuclear fusion in the way of the mass-energy equation?"
But this argument doesn't logically work. Because before Einstein, did the sun move according to a different set of principles? That's too idealistic, isn't it?"
Sun Xiang replied: "Is this an incomprehensible thing? Three hundred years ago, mankind believed that the sun was the center of the universe. In the past, the sky was round, and the earth was the center of the universe.
In the last Reiki era, the sun was a three-legged golden crow, and that was also a recognized truth. β
Sun Yulan said: "No, I can't understand it. The ancients believed that the sky was round because the technical level could not be observed. If the ancients had spaceships flying into space, they would not have recognized this theory. Human cognition is limited by intellectual and technological conditions, and the understanding of the world is also a gradual process. β
Sun Xiang: "You mentioned the limitations of human beings, which is a very good point. But this is not a human limitation, but a limitation of the path. Thousands of years ago, when the aura of heaven and earth was completely depleted, and mankind turned to the path of science, some limitations of science itself were already doomed.
I'll give you the simplest example, according to your scientific observations, electrons have mass, but electrons have no volume. Then according to the simplest density formula, we divide the mass by the volume and get the result that the density of the electrons is infinite. Why didn't the electrons collapse into black holes?"
Sun Yulan: "This ......"
Sun Xiang: "Another question, in the core experiment of quantum physics, the Young's double-slit interference experiment, why does the observer affect the outcome of the event. β
Sun Yulan replied: "Because according to the theory of quantum physics, the observer will cause the wave function of probability to collapse. Of course, I myself am skeptical of this theory of indeterminacy. β
Sun Xiang: "Then let me tell you the answer, because electrons are nothing, non-existent, and more precisely, the existence of electrons is incomplete.
Because of the limitations of the existing scientific system of mankind, it is not yet possible to find a perfect truth to explain the existence of electrons. As a result, electrons can only be awkwardly caught between nothingness and reality. The existing theories of mankind can only satisfy the existence of the six properties of the electron, which is not enough for it to cross the void and become a real existence.
The same is true for quantum theory, where contemporary science finds the quantum world incredible, and the so-called 'unpredictable' theory is very popular. In fact, it's not that quantum measurement is inaccurate, but that your human cognition of the microcosm is self-contradictory. So when it comes to the quantum scale, the world becomes self-contradictory. β
Sun Yulan thought for a long time this time, and finally sighed: "It seems that I have spent my whole life without catching up with my father's footsteps." β
The teachings given to her by Sun Xiang accompanied Sun Yulan throughout her life. She spent her whole life chasing after her, but now she found that her father was still that insurmountable mountain.
"Don't be presumptuous. Sun Xiang comforted, "We were originally walking on two different paths. You have reached the pinnacle of your path. Magnolia, I'm proud of you. β
"Good...... So, the third question ......"
