Chapter 15 Tu Fengnian
Tu Fengnian is fifteen years old this year, and he met two different people yesterday. At that time, he was about to take out the book in his hand to read, but he was intercepted, but he was not annoyed. He still remembered that when his father was studying, he locked himself in the study, and if anyone disturbed his father, his father would be furious, even he and his mother.
Tu Fengnian has a different opinion, he believes that reading does not have to be fully dedicated, if you can read the true taste in your spare time, it is really wonderful. Tu Fengnian read a solitary book called "Taixuan Ji Annotations", written by the ancient scholar Yangzi. My father got it by chance, but my father didn't read it deeply, and the original words were like this: Yangzi talks about the mysteries throughout the text, which is not the wonder of Confucianism, but the wonder of Taoism, and I don't take it.
Tu Fengnian has been watching it for about half a month, and before he was watching "History of the South China Sea" about the anecdotes that the author encountered in the eleven years of living in the South China Sea. And after he began to read "Taixuan Ji Annotations", he understood why his father abandoned it.
First of all, Confucianism and Taoism have something in common, both require the Tao, but each seeks the Tao very differently. Taoism seeks not fame and wealth, but not cause and effect, and can see the avenue in order to achieve immortality. The avenue is mysterious and mysterious, and some people initially thought that the ancestor of Taoism, Taishang Laojun, was the avenue. But after the emergence of metaphysics and Taoism became the first major religion of the human race, everyone denied this view, and replaced it with the following: the Great Dao is invisible, and the Xuan is mysterious.
And Yangzi said in the "Taixuan Collection Note": Xuanzhi, chi, a thousand kinds, do not see their shape.
Secluded, dark, here can be understood as in the underworld, 摛, stretching or spreading, here can be understood as inclusive, and ten thousand kinds, referring to all things.
The meaning of this sentence is: the mysterious avenue has embraced all things in the underworld, and at the same time, it is also hidden in all things, without a specific form, and will not appear in front of you and me.
And for Confucianism, this is a false thing. The only saint of Confucianism is Confucius Sheng, who is also the founder of Confucianism. How did Confucius become enlightened? Enlightening sentient beings and opening up Confucianism is a real history and a real merit. This set the later Confucians on a path: to do practical things in a down-to-earth and diligent manner! This is the belief of all Confucians, and it is also a rule, and no Confucian has attained the position of a saint by seeking the great road of mystery and mystery.
Therefore, Tu Fengnian's father, as a Confucian, would be so disdainful when he saw this "Taixuan Collection Notes". But Tu Fengnian is not a Confucian, just a cursory glance, he is addicted to it, and it is a little difficult to extricate himself.
But he was a determined man.
He admired his father's knowledge, and he had an indescribable sense of awe and admiration for scholars. When he was twelve years old, his father went out again, and he had a kind of envy in his heart: for the sake of his ambition, these scholars could give up everything.
When my father left, he left everything he could, and he didn't have to spend hours working to earn money. In the eyes of his mother, this move was extremely absurd, and he returned to his hometown in Luzhou in a fit of anger, and he didn't even care about his son, because Tu Fengnian actually supported his father's decision, and even took the initiative to persuade himself.
Now, he is the only one left in the house ten miles away from Qingyu Village, so instead of staying at home all the time, sitting alone and eating empty, it is better to come here to work, which can not only accumulate for the future trip to the Central Plains, but also not so lonely.
No, he met two interesting people, an elegant scholar and a boy with an extraordinary face. Today is not the day to catch the market, there are few customers, but the store is not empty, Tu Fengnian can't read "Taixuan Ji Note" for a while, so he has to greet guests.
"Brother Tu, please serve me yesterday's mung bean soup and two more steamed buns. ”
The voice was a little immature, but it sounded familiar. Tu Fengnian raised his head and saw Alan waving to him with a smile, so he also laughed and said, "It's yesterday's little brother, the mung bean soup and buns you want will come soon." ”
Tu Fengnian quickly put away the thin old book and went to deal with the boss.
Alain found the table from yesterday and sat quietly and watched the lazy crowd walk around. Yesterday, when he saw the lively crowd, he fell in love with watching the crowd, so today he explained his appeal to Yuan Lai, and then came to the street and watched the crowd come and go.
He noticed that today's crowd was different from yesterday. Most of them are people who live on the street, and they give Alain the feeling that they are lazy, but there is a spirit in laziness, and everyone can do their own thing leisurely.
After a while, Tu Fengnian came over with Alain's food, and after putting it down, Tu Fengnian sat opposite Alain and asked Alain for his name: "Dare to ask the name and surname of the little brother?
"My name is Alain, I am an orphan, I don't have a surname, you can just call me Alain. Yesterday's one was my adoptive father, named Yuan Lai, and he was from Zhuzhou. What book is Brother Tu reading?" Alan was always very curious about that book and always wanted to read it.
"Oh, the old books that my father collected are said to be the only ones, and since you want to read them, Alain, you can read them for yourself. "Tu Fengnian is a cheerful person, so even if he has just met Alain, he is not guarded.
"Thank you Brother Tu, I'm welcome. Alan took the old book and looked at four big characters: Taixuan Ji Note. Flipping through it, the first thing is the table of contents: Taixuanji annotation preface, Taixuanji annotations volume 1, volume 2, volume 3, volume 4, volume 5, volume 6, volume 7, volume 8, volume 9.
Alain hurriedly scanned it and found one word that was mentioned the most - Xuan, which of course would be mentioned the most, because it was the center of the book.
Yangzi wrote the "Taixuan Sutra", which was interpreted by later generations and became the "Taixuan Collection Notes". Alan only glanced at it very cursoryly and returned it to Tu Fengnian. Alain's mind is thorough, and he can't understand the thing of Xuan at all, and the sentence "The Xuan, the mysterious one, the hidden kind, does not see its form", is even more obscure to him.
Tu Fengnian understands Alan's thoughts, and the mystery is also real. It's normal for Alain not to be able to read, after all, he's still a child, not even a teenager.
"Alan, this book is about Xuan, something that belongs to Taoism, and I read it just for a clear picture. I remember telling me about my father's origins. My family has had scholars for generations, and in my generation, I can't break it, so I must be a scholar in the future. ”
Alan looked at Tu Fengnian and always felt that something was wrong, so he said: "Brother Tu has lofty ambitions, and younger brother admires him." But does Brother Tu really want to be a scholar so much, I heard you say that the reason why you want to be a scholar is that the family studies like this, but the reader reads for himself, if you don't change your mind, then it is a little inferior, what you just said is not sincere, just to convince yourself. I persuaded Brother Tu to think about the real purpose of his study, so as to be worthy of his heart. ”
Tu Fengnian listened to it in a cold sweat, and a few words were like morning bells and dusk drums, deafening. When you think about it, the first time he read a book was out of curiosity, and then he fell in love with reading under the influence of his father. But that doesn't mean he has the consciousness to become a reader.
From the moment a person becomes a scholar, this person has to seek up and down, and then question his own heart, and then light the lamp, the pursuit of the reader can be summarized by the following points: self-cultivation, family, governance, and peace in the world.
If Tu Fengnian became a scholar for the sake of family learning, then he would definitely lose his heart and fall into a daze at the beginning, not to mention any self-cultivation and Qi family ruling the country and leveling the world.
After figuring it out, he immediately bowed down, slammed it to the ground, and said: "Thank you Mr. Xiao for your guidance today, and I almost went astray when I didn't notice the reading, but fortunately, I have Mr. Xiao's correction, today's grace is unforgettable!"
Tu Fengnian raised his head and looked at Alain, and suddenly couldn't laugh or cry - he saw Alain sitting there blankly, with a mouthful of mung bean porridge in his mouth, and it seemed that he hadn't figured out what he was talking about, so he was at a loss, just like during the magic test, he didn't dare to move......
Tu Fengnian was really helpless, so he had to explain the key carefully, and Alan came back to his senses and smiled embarrassedly, just saying that he was not that powerful.
Tu Fengnian looked at Alain's modest appearance, and four words appeared in his heart: born to know.
Alan didn't stay long, chatted with Tu Fengnian for a while, and then left. Tu Fengnian took Alan as a friend, and in the days to come, the two became good buddies who talked about everything.
