From the present point of view, the next few years will be a period of rapid growth in the development of international electronic products, the most significant feature of which is that many household appliances and electronic products from the previous analog circuit technology gradually began to convert to digital circuits, and in the 90s, Japan is due to the development of digital technology, only pay attention to the deep digging of analog circuit products, resulting in the final overtaking by American companies, including VCDVD and LCD TVs and other products, many home appliance companies in Japan did not keep up with the rhythm, and were eventually eliminated by the times。

Another point is that the current international chip development has entered a new stage, while the domestic electronics industry has been in a state of stagnation.

In fact, as early as the sixties and seventies of the 20th century, China's elite scientists and militarized R&D system were enough to ensure the successful completion of national-level projects such as "two bombs and one satellite", but more and more obstacles were encountered in order for the chip industry to realize the continuous upgrading of ultra-fine processing technology, cope with the ever-changing market changes, and reach an annual output of hundreds of millions or even billions.

From an international point of view, because integrated circuits are advanced technology and are closely related to national defense and military affairs, "Batumi" has imposed an embargo on China for many years, and both manufacturing equipment and process technology have cut off the path of China's exchange and introduction in a very critical period.

From a domestic point of view, in the late 60s of the 20th century, China, which was in a chaotic era, once adopted the method of mass movement to engage in semiconductors for the whole people. At that time, the newspapers advertised at length that an old lady on the street could make semiconductors by pulling a diffusion furnace in an alley. This kind of advocacy that violates the basic laws has seriously impacted the semiconductor production and R&D process of regular factories.

Many of the golden generation of scientists who presided over chip research back then were graduate students and junior college students who came back from abroad, but they encountered unfair treatment in this era and were unable to engage in research work at all, resulting in China's gap in the field of chip research from the original five or six years to more than ten or twenty years.

During the honeymoon between China and the United States in the 80s, foreign countries relaxed the control of China's low-end chips, and many domestic scholars put forward the concept of "it is better to buy than to buy, and it is better to rent than to buy".

Duan Yun actually wanted to get involved in this field very early, but one of the big problems is that chip research and development requires a lot of money and top talents, even in the 80s, the annual investment required is often in the hundreds of millions of yuan, with Duan Yun's current net worth, he is not able to involve this industry at all.

Another point is that Duan Yun will not be able to gather so many talents in the chip field in the short term, most of the top domestic chip talents are concentrated in the Chinese Academy of Sciences and some related military departments, Duan Yun wants to recruit these people to his company, the difficulty is comparable to ascending.

The big and comprehensive development idea is not suitable for Duan Yun's current business development plan, what he has to do now is to find a high-profit entry point, and then complete enough capital accumulation.

In fact, when it comes to flash memory chips, in 1975, China has completed the research and development of the core technology of dynamic random access.

The research group led by Wang Yangyuan in the Department of Physics of Peking University completed three technical solutions and produced China's first 1024-bit dynamic random access memory in the 109 factory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences at that time. Although this achievement is four or five years later than that of the United States and Japan, it is four or five years earlier than that of South Korea.

This kind of domestic flash memory chip is based on the EPROM chip that can erase data with strong ultraviolet rays, but it is a pity that the production of this domestic flash memory chip is extremely low, only less than 600 pieces are produced per year, and the price is as high as 500 yuan, because it cannot be sold at all, so it has been discontinued many years ago.

However, Duan Yun has always had a very strong interest in chip research, and if the funds and talents are strong enough in the future, he will definitely choose to invest in or acquire a chip company in a related field.

Towards the end of the visit, Duan Yun found the person in charge of the exhibition and asked him about the CES exhibition.

For a long time, domestic enterprises want to open up the international market can only through the Canton Fair, and for a long time, the Canton Fair is the only important window in Chinese mainland to the outside world, and with the relaxation of the country's policy on enterprises in recent years, some companies have begun to try to participate in foreign exhibitions.

In Duan Yun's view, if their own enterprises can participate in exhibitions such as CES, even if they can't get any orders, this is also a very good opportunity for exchange and cooperation with international counterparts, Duan Yun can cooperate with some internationally renowned enterprises to jointly expand domestic and international markets, although Duan Yun's enterprises are still unable to compare with world-renowned manufacturers in terms of technology products, but Chinese mainland enterprises generally have very good labor cost advantages, coupled with the preferential tariff policies of Shenzhen and foreign trade enterprises, which is also an important bargaining chip to attract foreign businessmen and their enterprises to cooperate。

And not only the CES exhibition that he participated in this time, but also MWC and the consumer electronics show IFA Berlin, which have become the world's three major electronics exhibitions with CES, Duan Yun will also actively participate in the future to realize his plan to expand the international market.

Through the inquiry to the person in charge of the exhibition, it was learned that if the company wants to participate in the CES conference, it must apply to the exhibition organizing committee one year in advance, and if the application is approved, the exhibitor must also pay a booth fee to the exhibition organizing committee, the larger the booth, the higher the price, and the best booth will cost about 400,000 US dollars per day.

In addition, CES will also edit and produce a magazine about the exhibition, all exhibitors can submit to the exhibition organizing committee, the manuscript will indicate the introduction of the product and pictures, the deadline is two months before the launch, once adopted, it will be published in the CES journal of the year, sent to more than 2,000 electronic peer companies around the world, for enterprises, is a very good publicity opportunity.
