318. Return to China

Hearing Ning Yuan's words, Lyubi Mov looked at Ning Yuan a little speechlessly.

Ning Yuan held back a smile, and said in his heart If you come to Huaxia in more than ten years, it is estimated that you will learn the sentence 'piercing the heart of Lao Tie'.

Indeed, at that time, Lyubimov did not deliberately do that, there was only one reason -

No money.

Although he didn't say anything at this point, he reached out and scratched the slightly curly hair on his head, showing that he was somewhat embarrassed.

Ning Yuan didn't have any apprehension, after all, he had stayed in Bimofu many times before, and Ning Yuan said whatever he thought, and it was not polite, he really thought so.

Then, the two of them, who were relatively speechless, suddenly laughed.

"Hahaha, quack!"

In the end, Liubi Mov shrugged his shoulders at Meng Hui, who was a little confused:

"Does laughter need an interpreter?"

Meng Hui and the others were even more confused.

Oh yes, Yihui, it's the nickname that Ning Yuan gave Meng Hui.

After laughing, Lyubimov adopted Ning Yuan's suggestion and decided to design it in accordance with Huaxia's style.

In this process, Ning Yuan put forward one trick after another in the desperate eyes of the choreographer Jiang Dong, and the key is that he thinks these tricks are really good-looking.

Lyubimov is also a bit of an old child a lot of the time, especially with the ability to accept new things.

"That's probably the secret to my eternal youth. When he said this, he also winked at Meng Hui and them, commonly known as selling cuteness.

Since directing "The Good Man of Sichuan Province" in the 60s, Lyubimov has been going more and more unrestrained on the road of 'anti-Stanley'.

In the 80s, Lin Yinyu, a professor at the Huaxia Drama Academy, happened to see his rehearsal of "The Dawn Is Quiet Here" in France during his exile.

His only props on the stage were seven long planks, which were the body of a car at first, turned to a tree, enclosed by a bathhouse for the female soldiers, slid over it into a swamp, and finally became the tombstones of the five female soldiers. ”

"He took the presumption of the stage to the extreme. ”

At the end of the play, the wooden board becomes a screen, showing the happy life of the five female soldiers through the projection, in the waltz rhythm, the five sacrificed female soldiers stretch their limbs, leaning next to the erected plank, the human and the wooden plank dance together and rotate, and gradually disappear into the light and shadow.

The Russian drama critic Martov, who also watched this edition, made no secret of his feelings at the time:

"The last scene that whirls like a plank of the woods in sorrow brings tears to our eyes. ”

Not only this play, but also "Hamlet", a famous play that has been heard all over the world, the version rehearsed by Lyubimov in the 70s has become one of the most important versions of the entire 20th century.

In fact, since he became a director in the sixties, Lyubimov has been studying and implementing this aesthetic of the "empty stage" – almost no sets on the stage, or extremely abstract and simple sets – which is anti-Stanley.

But often, Lyubimov would use small props, and they were all very accurate and realistic, even real historical relics - which again was in line with Stanley's.

This is his usual style, pragmatism, what is easy to use, and does not label himself as a school.

In Hamlet, Lyubimov worked with the stage designer Borovsky to put this aesthetic to the fullest.

The stage was empty, except for a giant screen, a thick woolen fabric of earthy color between gray and brown, with a rough surface that could be moved from all angles and directions. There is a square area in the center of the front of the stage, covered with real earth and several skulls, representing graves, with several swords hanging from the front and back walls, and a coffin, which in some scenes also serves as a bench.

Other than that, there are no other props.

When the performance begins, the curtain seems to be transformed into a character on the stage, and by moving, it creates all kinds of amazing effects on the stage.

First of all, it is the curtain itself, which is lifted to form the entrance and exit of certain theatrical scenes, such as the traitor Polonius, and the others who hide behind this curtain and eavesdrop.

But on the other hand, the curtain is a symbol, the coffin is placed in front of the curtain as a bench, which is the queen's bedchamber, and the four long swords are stretched out from the curtain to become the throne.

When the curtain is tilted, it is the wall against which Hamlet leans, and when the curtain moves, it becomes a threat to the characters in the play.

The giant screen, with its size and weight, creates a sense of oppression in the prison space, and when the light shines from the back, it looks like a prison bar, its cobweb-like surface traps the characters, and when the characters die, the giant screen begins to sweep the stage mechanically, as if the merciless hand of fate is manipulating.

Lyubimov is good at using limited resources to create infinite possibilities, and this time, he accepted Ning Yuan's suggestion, turned the simple into the complex, and began to toss the trivial things on the stage.

It's like opening a skylight for him, when he was working, he actually had more enthusiasm than Ning Yuan, and at first Meng Hui and their shocked eyes widened:

"Good girl, no wonder you can be a master, this professionalism ......"

It wasn't until they reacted that they realized that what dedication is clearly liking.

Just like a child, who loves a toy, can put in 200 percent of his energy and forget about hunger and fatigue.

Not to mention his artistic attainments, this kind of treatment still makes Meng Hui and them awe-inspired.

"I know that love makes boring things interesting, but how can I be so loving?" Liu Ye suddenly asked one day.

Lyubimov smiled: "That's mental satisfaction, just like when you go to the toilet, when you are constipated, it's uncomfortable, and when it's smooth, it's enjoyable, the same thing is treated differently, if you don't like it, it's better to give up now, because that will make you more and more miserable." ”

Liu Ye was taken aback: "No, no, no, I think I'm enjoying it." ”

He also thought that his words made Rubi Mov dissatisfied, but Ning Yuan suddenly smiled at this time:

This is a tasteful metaphor, and then Liu Ye replied, it's really fragrant. ”

"Hahaha!"

Everyone burst out laughing, and after Ning Yuan translated, Lyubimov laughed again.

......

"Good, yes, perfect end to the day, thank you lads and girls. ”

With Lyubimov's words, the first rehearsal at the end of August was successfully completed, and it basically met Lyubimov's expectations-

He said before that there is no need to rush, so he divided this new version of the drama into several stages.

And now, although it is not enough for him to be completely satisfied, compared to his requirements for the first stage, it has been overfulfilled.

"At least, the actors' Russian, although not yet standard, clearly knows which sentence to express what emotion, and that feeling comes out. ”

After this rehearsal, Ning Yuan and the others went home and were going back to China.

And Liubimov has long been yearning for Huaxia, so at the invitation of Ning Yuan and Meng Hui, he happily went.
