Chapter 16: The Invisible Door (Part II)

It was a spacious but empty operating room. The floor is paved with smooth marble, and it always exudes a terrible cold air.

The walls on all four sides glow with silvery-white reflections in the dim light, making them look lifeless. The ceiling of the operating room was a large flat mirror, but when I looked up, I saw only the marble floor, but not my own shadow.

In one corner of the operating room is a large writing desk, next to which is an iron filing cabinet, and beyond that, only the operating table in the middle of the operating room remains.

The white figure was concentrating on something, and from him he could hear the slight clash of metal instruments, as well as the low, rapid gasping of a person.

I was hesitating to go over, but I saw that the girl in white had covered her face that had been split in half with her hands, and her shoulders shrugged as if she was crying.

I walked over with courage, walked around the operating table, and stood next to the girl in white. Suddenly, a pungent smell of blood came to my face, followed by another strange smell, this smell was even stronger, like the smell of many drugs mixed together, I quickly covered my nose, but found that it was to no avail.

When I came back from a trance-like vertigo, I could see what was happening on the operating table.

At first, I didn't see anything out of the ordinary, but there was a haggard girl lying on the operating table, her eyes closed and motionless, her ribcage had been opened, revealing pieces of internal organs soaked in blood.

And the doctor's operation was exactly as accurate as we learned in the classroom, and all the movements and procedures were carried out meticulously.

But slowly, I noticed that something was wrong. The doctor's movements seemed to be unfocused, with a scalpel here and there, which meant that I couldn't tell what he was doing, and the eyes peeking out from above his mask were not calm, but a joy, a novelty, and even an exuberant emotion.

Suddenly, the girl on the operating table suddenly opened her eyes, and she screamed loudly as if she had exhausted her last strength.

I could scarcely believe that such a sound came from a man's mouth, miserable and piercing with fear, and for a moment the operating room was full of creepy echoes, and at the same time I was extremely shocked to wonder if this doctor did not anesthetic this girl during the whole operation.

I turned my head to look at the girl in white next to me and saw that she had taken her hand off her face, but her face was only half open.

The girl turned to look at me, and she seemed to see her own shadow in my eyes. Immediately, her face was filled with pain and disbelief, and she turned and ran towards a wall directly opposite the operating table, and finally her body hit the wall and disappeared.
