The tournament came as scheduled, and our Need.Fire team finally had their first real test since the team's founding! With a little nervousness, we embarked on this WCG trip with trepidation.

There are a lot of disadvantages for us to participate in this competition. First of all, since CS1.6 will enter the WCG as an official game version, we have to give up the 1.5 version that we are used to, and secondly, in order to have a good result in this competition, our team has carried out a targeted reorganization, Liu Han specially asked his past teammates Allen and LARRY to help, and Lynch retired to the bench due to his inferior strength, which also gave us a lot more time to run in the lineup than others.

Due to the large number of registered teams, the organizers of the event had to divide the participating teams into the upper and lower halves, and our team was very fortunate to be divided into the lower half of the division, which was not a strong team.

The bottom half of the bracket was almost entirely amateur and on the first day of the tournament we didn't encounter any decent resistance and made it all the way to the quarter-finals. On the second day of the competition, in order to save time, the organizers temporarily decided to adopt a single-player competition format in the first round of the competition, and then play a double-elimination match after the semi-finals were decided.

We Need.Fire faced off against Team 851, the match map drew Inferno, and after winning the coin toss, the opponent did not hesitate to choose the bandits.

Everyone sat in front of the computer with bated breath, all the preparations were ready, and even the final debugging was completed, just waiting for the referee to give an order, and the game could start.

Although Lele and I were a little unhappy because she often went to the Internet café before, she still came to the competition site today to cheer for me. I turned my head to find Lele in the crowd not far away, I smiled at her, made a triumphant gesture, and then turned my head back to the screen, slowly calming my mind.

Ye Hui and I were defending Area B, and in front of Area B was a long and narrow passage leading to the bandits' spawn point, which seemed to be a stage for snipers.

By the time he could see the screen clearly, the enemy had already come to the end of the passage, Ye Hui hurriedly cut out the sand eagle and knocked over the bandits who rushed to the front with one shot.

Without waiting for Ye Hui to retreat to the bunker, the remaining three bandits also opened fire together. Ye Hui was hit by a bullet and fell straight to the ground. Hearing the first gunshot, Liu Han ordered all the police to return to Area B, and Ye Hui's outstanding performance just bought Liu Han time to return to defense, and after a fierce battle, the other party lost the 4th game.

The loss in the fourth game plunged the bandits into an economic crisis again, and we took the opportunity to win two games in a row to take a huge 6-0 lead.

Faced with such a perfect start, everyone was a little overexcited. But what we never expected was that the 851 team, which had no way out, actually launched an almost crazy counterattack, 1:6, 2:6, 3:6, 4:6, 5:6, we were actually pulled by the opponent for 5 games in a row. By the end of the first half, the score had changed to 7:8 and we were one point behind. In the second half, the 851 team continued to extend their lead, 11:14, as long as they won one more game, the opponent will get the match point, and we were forced to a dead end.

At this critical juncture of life and death, I, who has always been considered the "biggest weakness" of the team, stood up in time. I first was blinded by a flash bomb, the blind cat touched the mouse to death, and miraculously stopped the decline with a 1V3. Then he played 1v3 again in the next round. My extraordinary performance also inspired the fighting spirit of my teammates, and the 851 team was instantly overwhelmed by the simple and clear rush, almost crazy scramble, and the score was finally locked at 9:6 in the second half, and we won by a narrow margin of 16:14 on aggregate.

Just as the members of Team 851 began to silently pack up their equipment and prepare to leave, an unexpected situation happened. A referee suddenly announced that two points had been deducted because we had used the "Y" key three times in the game, and the total score was tied and extra time was required. This is the price we are destined to pay for our youth, and we have no choice but to sit down again.

In the face of the sudden opportunity, the 851 team did not seem to have recovered from the frustration just now, and Liu Han, who had been performing sluggishly before, also ushered in his outburst in due time.

At 3:0, in the first half of extra time, we set the tone for the game.

At 19:15, we made it to the semi-finals of the WCG Division, which became our last game in the WCG. In the semi-finals, we had no room to fight back against the professional teams, and we ended the WCG trip with a fourth-place finish in the division.
