The watchtower I wanted to build should be dominated by three pillars of more than 10 meters, then reinforced with beams, and finally a platform built on top for viewing.

In the end, I chose the location of the watchtower a few dozen meters away from the hut, because the terrain is high enough, and the most important thing is that there is a relatively straight coconut water tree there, and the height is more than ten meters, which just uses it as a pillar of the watchtower, which can increase the strength of the watchtower.

Actually, I would like to find a place where the three coconut trees are arranged in a triangle, so that I don't have to erect the three pillars, but unfortunately there is no such place on the island,,,,,

The construction of the watchtower should consider the existing materials on the island, bamboo is light and strong is the preferred material for building the watchtower, but most of the island is slender bamboo, which is not suitable for making pillars, fortunately, I have been on the island long enough to know every corner of this island, there is a small bamboo forest in the south of this island, where some tall and thick bamboo should be used to make pillars.

Soon I came to the south of the island, and sure enough, there were a few tall bamboos growing here, in fact, this is also thanks to my management, I built a pond stalk on the edge of the bamboo forest, so that the water can be preserved to the maximum, so that the bamboo grows so well.

I chose two of the thickest, longest and straightest bamboos out of the dozen bamboos, cut them down little by little with a stone axe, then pruned the attached branches and dragged them back to the hut.

I built the watchtower to spot passing ships, so there was no need to build it too big, just let me sit on it and watch the sea.

So I made the watchtower into an equilateral triangle with a side length of 1.5 meters, and soon I took the coconut tree as the first point to find the other two points, and then dug a one-meter-deep pile foundation on the two points, and finally buried the bamboo into the pile foundation, so that the three pillars of the watchtower were completed, and I cut some thin bamboo with a length of no more than two meters as beams.

The next step was to reinforce the beams, but when it came to reinforcing the pillars of the watchtower, there was a problem, and that was what I used to secure the beams.

In real life, the first choice should be iron wire, followed by hemp rope, but I don't have either, I just use scissors to rotate the plastic bottle along the bottle body and cut it into thin strips to make a rope for binding, but there are not many plastic bottles, only five or six beams are tied.

I knew that it would be best to make rope from strong bark or rattan for tying beams, but I searched the island and found no suitable material to make the rope.

When I was full of enthusiasm to build the watchtower, I didn't expect that my watchtower project would be stranded because of a small tie line? ？

However, I didn't give up, and I thought for a long time about what material I was going to use to solve the problem of tying ropes, and suddenly it occurred to me that I could use bamboo to tie the beams.

I remember another scene in a Hong Kong and Taiwan martial arts movie, where the actor used bamboo silk to tie bamboo scaffolding, and finally practiced a stunt kung fu movie.

In the film, the male protagonist is tied with a rope made of bamboo, and now all I can use is bamboo.

I cut some bamboos into 1.5 meters, chiseled them with a stone axe, and let the bamboo split into 5 mm wide bamboo strips, and then used a small chopping knife made from the bottom of the can bottle to remove the inner wall of the bamboo, leaving only the skin with the best toughness of the bamboo.

In this way, the bamboo binding thread is ready, and the bamboo binding thread should be used before drying, and the unused should also be soaked in water to avoid drying and easy breaking.

With the bamboo binding line, the speed of construction will be accelerated, but the kidnapping beam should also pay attention to one point, that is, the point of binding the pillar must be as much as possible in the bamboo joint, so that the beam can be more stable and not easy to fall and shift after being stressed.

After more than ten days of struggle, the watchtower was finally built, the height is about ten meters, it is very strong, I built a platform at the top to observe the sea, and also erected a bamboo pergola, from a distance it looks like a big straw hat fastened on the watchtower.

Every day, after I had done the necessary work, I would climb the watchtower to observe the movement of the sea and see if any boats were passing by.

I also put flares and smoke barrels on the watchtower, hoping that if a ship passes by, I can immediately send a signal for help.

However, for dozens of days, I didn't find any ships passing by, and the sea in front of me was only layered with waves, and I didn't even find the shadow of the boat.

On this day, I still climbed the watchtower with hope to observe the sea, but there was still no shadow of a boat on the sea, and every day I hoped that a boat would pass by, and I could leave the island and return to my family, but every day was disappointed.

Sometimes I think to myself that I really shouldn't have built this watchtower, and the more hopeful I am, the more disappointed I am,,,,,,

The sun was setting in the west and it was another disappointing day, and just as I was about to go down from the watchtower in disheartenedness, I suddenly noticed something moving on the shore, and because of the setting sun, I could not see what was on the shore, but it was certainly a living creature, and it looked like a person, so I immediately thought that it could not be a person who died like me.

So I quickly climbed down the watchtower and ran over to see what was going on, and when I walked in, I didn't know whether I was disappointed or happy, and this thing in front of me really made me cry and laugh, it turned out to be a big turtle, and the turtle's body was covered with dense shellfish, which made people feel numb,,,,

I don't know what kind of turtle this turtle is, but it is very large, it can have a long triangular head of more than one meter, an oval flat and streamlined body, and four of them have evolved into fins, which should be very suitable for living in the ocean, but when it comes to land, the turtle's movement has become slow and clumsy.
