Foreign media are eyeing Zhou Fangyuan, and domestic media are basically the same.

Recently, there were so many interview invitations from the Yuanfang Group that Zhou Fangyuan didn't know how to choose.

In the end, after various careful selections, Zhou Fangyuan chose an invitation to a CCTV interview program, and he was only ready to accept this one of the domestic invitations. Foreign countries can accept more, and it should be explained that when he made this choice, it was not that he admired foreign countries and felt that foreign media were better than domestic ones. How to say it, because he still does not have a deep connection with foreign media, and his roots are mainly in China, so it doesn't matter which foreign media accepts or not. But the domestic one is different, most of the domestic media have a deep relationship behind it, inextricably linked, if you accept this or not accept that, you may offend people, that is, you don't give people face.

He is not stupid to do this kind of innocent offense, why should he do it? And this is not the main reason, the real main reason is also the popularity. In terms of popularity, his popularity in China is actually good, after all, Yuanfang Group is also one of the emerging groups in China, although it cannot be compared with the old state-owned enterprises or groups, but in the field of the Internet, Yuanfang Group's reputation is still quite large, and it can even be said to be a standout. Coupled with the development of other fields, Yuanfang Group is now quite famous in China.

On the other hand, abroad, although there is also a certain reputation, as mentioned earlier, Chinese people can't recognize their faces when they look at foreigners. And foreigners look at Chinese people, which is almost the same meaning, Zhou Fangyuan is of course different from ordinary Chinese, he is already somewhat well-known abroad, but then again, some well-known and very well-known are still different.

This time, he was frequently interviewed by foreign magazines in order to enhance his popularity abroad.

In fact, he has always had the idea of pushing out those very good things in China abroad. The Chinese culture, as well as some of the outstanding points and shining points of China in the new century, should not be blocked by the "lock-up" between the East and the West, and the Chinese nation must work hard in all aspects if it wants to rejuvenate. Now that he has this ability, he has to find a way to do something. It is a good way to increase awareness, and then take out some good things in China and promote them to the world.

So for this purpose, he has been interviewed by foreign media many times, of course, he is also selective, those media that are not well-known and not strong, he will not care, he cares, basically they are very famous media abroad.

And while Zhou Fangyuan was constantly being interviewed, Andy made a call to his mobile phone.

"QR codes are already ready to be applied?"

This is also one of the projects of the Yuanfang Science and Technology Research Institute, but it is a supporting project for smartphones.

QR code, also known as two-dimensional barcode, the common two-dimensional code is QR code, QR full name is QuickResponse, is a Zhou Fangyuan rebirth, a super popular encoding method on mobile devices, it can store more information than the traditional barcode barcode, but also can represent more data types.

Two-dimensional barcode/two-dimensional code is to use a specific geometric figure to record data symbol information in a black and white graphic distributed on a plane according to a certain law; The concept of bit stream uses a number of geometric shapes corresponding to binary to represent text numerical information, and automatically reads it through image input devices or photoelectric scanning devices to achieve automatic information processing: it has some commonalities of barcode technology: each symbol has its specific character set, each character occupies a certain width, has a certain verification function, etc. At the same time, it also has the function of automatically identifying the information of different lines and processing the rotation change point of the graph.

Foreign research on two-dimensional code technology began at the end of the 80s of the 20th century, and a variety of code systems have been developed in the research of two-dimensional code symbol representation technology, such as pdf417, qrcode, code49, code, codeone, etc. The information density of these two-dimensional codes has been greatly improved compared with the traditional one-dimensional code, such as the information density of PDF417 is more than 20 times that of the one-dimensional code codec39.

In terms of QR code standardization research, the International Association of Automatic Identification Manufacturers (AIM) and the Association for Standardization of the United States (ANSI) took the lead in completing the symbol standards of PDF417, QRCODE, CODE49, CODE, CODEone and other symbols. The International Standards Technical Committee and the International Electrotechnical Commission have also established a technical committee for automatic identification of barcodes, and have also formulated international standards for QR codes, and drafted draft ISO/IEC standards for QR codes such as PDF417, Code, Datamatrix, and Maxicode. In terms of the development, development and production of two-dimensional code equipment, the reading equipment and symbol generation equipment produced by equipment manufacturers in Mi and Fuso have been widely used in various two-dimensional code application systems.

As a new information storage, transmission and identification technology, QR codes have received the attention of many countries in the world since their birth. Countries such as Mi, Germany, and Fuso have not only applied the two-dimensional code technology to the management of various documents by public security, diplomacy, military and other departments, but also applied the two-dimensional code to the management of various reports and bills by customs, taxation and other departments, the management of goods and goods transportation by commerce, transportation and other departments, the management of postal parcels by postal departments, and the automation management of industrial production lines in the field of industrial production.

The domestic research on QR code technology began in 1993, and the National Article Coding Center translated and tracked the technical specifications of several commonly used QR codes pdf417, QRCCODE, datamatrix, maxicode, code49, code, and codeone. With the continuous improvement of the domestic market economy and the rapid development of information technology, the domestic demand for the new technology of QR code is increasing day by day. With the strong support of the former State Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision and relevant state departments, the National Article Coding Center has continuously deepened the research on QR code technology. On the basis of digesting relevant foreign technical data, two national standards for two-dimensional codes have been formulated in the future: two-dimensional code grid matrix code (SJ/T11349-2006) and two-dimensional code compact matrix code (SJ/T11350-2006), which has greatly promoted the research and development of two-dimensional code with independent intellectual property rights technology in China.

In the days before Zhou Fangyuan's rebirth, QR codes have brought too much convenience to the lives of modern Chinese people, but few people know that the first person who invented the QR code was actually Fusang people.

Alipay, known as one of the "new four major inventions", has announced that it will fully land in Fusang in 2018 at the latest, and is expected to have 10 million fans in Fusang within 3 years.

As soon as this news came out, I didn't know how to make Duofusang people feel uncomfortable.

Because the QR code was developed by Denso, a subsidiary of Fuso Denso-Wave, Katsuhiko Taji, executive director of Denso-Wave, said regretfully, "I would have known that I would have been charged 10 cents per code." "In the future, Alipay's daily payment will reach 130 million, and 100 million, the domestic two-dimensional code is difficult to count, if Fusang can really do this, wouldn't it be crazy to make money while sitting?

Not really.

It cannot be denied that the QR code was indeed invented by the Fuso people.

Although foreign countries have been researching QR codes since the late 80s, the real success of the research was in 1994, developed by Fuso Denso. It is an abbreviation of "QuickResponse", which means Quick Response, and the developers want the QR code to be decoded quickly.

Before QR codes, the universal use of one-dimensional barcodes in the world was one-dimensional barcodes.

Compared with the one-dimensional barcode, the advantages of the two-dimensional code are: the information capacity has been increased by dozens of times; the coding range is wide, and the text, sound, photos, tickets, advertisements and other aspects can be digitally encoded; its confidentiality, anti-counterfeiting, error correction and reliability are very good; it is easy to make and the cost is very low. At that time, Fuso Denso disclosed the technology free of charge, did not charge royalties, and sold QR code scanners to Toyota. Subsequently, QR codes and barcode scanners were adopted by convenience store companies across Fuso.

At this time, the QR code is only a near-ground technology, that is, like the supermarket to buy and pay, in the close range, the price of the commodity is scanned, and the network cannot be scanned at a long distance. Therefore, the scope of application is limited to Fuso and has become the "Galapagos technology".

Galapagos Island is located in the west of Ecuador in South America, where the creatures have evolved their own characteristics in an isolated environment, which is only suitable for local survival, and Fuso QR code has no ability to compete in overseas markets, just like the creatures on Galapagos Island.

However, even if Fuso Denso wants to collect patent fees, it is impossible to do so.

Because Huaxia's QR code "Scan" already has its own intellectual property rights.

A few years before the rapid rise of QR codes in the original time and space, there were also voices in China at that time, worried that QR codes would take the unbearable road of DVD.

The domestic DVD patent fee dispute has always been a lingering pain in the domestic manufacturing industry.

As early as 1999, DVDs began to become popular in the market, and Huaxia became the world's largest DVD producer, accounting for 70% of the world's total production.

As a result, Hitachi, Panasonic, JVC, Mitsubishi, Toshiba, and Time Warner formed the "6C" and announced the "DVD patent joint license" statement, requiring all DVD manufacturers in the world to purchase "patent licenses" from them.

As a result, customs offices around the world arbitrarily confiscated domestic DVDs on the grounds that they were not authorized by patents.

As a result, at that time, China was forced to accept an unequal agreement, and for every $32 DVD produced by domestic companies, they had to pay 60% of the patent fees to foreign companies, and they could only earn $1.

Many people should remember that in the first few years of this century, domestic TV advertisements were full of brands such as Aiduo and Suo Ai, and even became the standard king of CCTV advertising. However, the high patent fees have reduced domestic manufacturers to the OEM of Western companies, and these brands have disappeared in just a few years and become a memory of the times.

The West has been sweetened by the collection of patent fees from DVDs, so foreign manufacturers demand patent fees in various industries such as televisions, compact discs, CD-ROM recorders, digital cameras, motorcycles, and even computers, mobile communications, and biomedicine. It is no exaggeration to say that in the past few years, "patented intellectual property rights" have become the most effective "weapon" for foreign countries to blackmail domestic enterprises.

So, at the time, this concern was completely justified.

Therefore, the country has long been prepared in this regard.

First of all, the National Article Coding Center has conducted tracking research on several QR codes commonly used abroad, and formulated two national standards for QR codes: QR code grid matrix code (SJ/T11349-2006) and QR code compact matrix code (SJ/T11350-2006). In other words, China already has a two-dimensional code with independent intellectual property technology. Moreover, China has the intellectual property rights of "QR code scanning", don't underestimate this "scan" function, it is not a simple reference to the QR code. When we usually scan QR codes, we must first have a camera and a QR code, of course, this is invented by Fuso people, and we do not deny it.

Under the condition of long-distance and infinite, the scanned QR code is converted into relevant digital information, which requires the use of radio frequency identification technology, referred to as RFID technology. This technology first originated in Britain during World War II, in order to distinguish the identity of enemy aircraft. In the 60s of the 20th century, this automatic identification technology began to be commercialized. However, RFID technology cannot simply process the QR code under the camera lens into digital information, and there is also AR tracking and registration technology behind it.

This technology solves the problem, when you consume, you can track and locate the location of your business, so that the information center knows and records where you have made a purchase. Without this technology, there would be an embarrassing situation where you can sell the same item without knowing who is selling it.

China's self-developed code chain technology just solves all this, which is the core intellectual property rights of "QR code scan". Without this technology, wireless electronic payments would not have been possible.

Generally speaking, it is a bit like cooking, although the Fuso people provide the raw materials for cooking, and the British provide the way to cook, but to make a good dish, it depends on the master's craftsmanship.

In China, before Zhou Fangyuan was reborn, I am afraid that every young and middle-aged person will "sweep", but in the overseas market, the development is very slow, and mainland users account for 90% of the world's QR code individual users.

In China, there is no charge for "sweeping", but abroad, there is no free lunch.

Even if the United States is the birthplace of the Internet, mobile payment was not widespread until it was reborn. However, the convenience of this kind of mobile payment will undoubtedly be sought after by consumers all over the world, so the overseas market prospect is very broad. Lawson convenience stores, which have 13,000 stores across Fuso, said that they will all be connected to Alipay. What does this mean? It means that in the future, China is changing from a "world factory" to a "big country with specifications" that sets rules, and the bitter lesson of DVD will never happen again.

And now, the research project of the Yuanfang Science and Technology Research Institute is different from Fusang's QR code technology, as well as the scanning code technology, which are all provided by Zhou Fangyuan to Andy, especially about AR technology, how other companies are developing now, Zhou Fangyuan really doesn't know, but he knows that he is ahead of the curve this time.

Therefore, on the phone, Zhou Fangyuan instructed Andy to register intellectual property rights as soon as possible, and at the same time asked him to go to Beijing to get the research results, and he wanted to use Yuanfang Technology to promote the development of the national standard of QR code.
