Chapter 667: Living in Longevity Village (Part II)
Zhang Baotong, who lives in Changshou Village, 2017.12.29
When I came to Poyue Village, it was no different from other towns, with many buildings, congested roads, street vendors, noisy people, and a bad environment. I hurried around the streets of the township, and for a moment I stopped in front of the hemp oil counters in the supermarkets, and I didn't look at anything else, bought nothing, and had nothing to buy.
After leaving Poyue Village, I took a motorcycle and went to the Hundred Demon Cave. The Hundred Demon Cave is a great treasure of longevity, and many people come to Longevity Village for the Hundred Demon Cave. The Hundred Demon Cave is located on the west side of Poyue Village, Jiazhen Township. Because the Hundred Devil Cave is close to the outlet of the Panyang River, there is a spring at the mouth of the cave, and the Zhuang village by the spring is called Baimo Village, and the name of the cave is named "Hundred Demons", which also reflects its magical and magnificent color. It is said that there is a fault zone under Bama, which cuts directly through the earth's mantle layer, and the fault zone is under the Panyang River, the main river in Bama. The geomagnetic field of the general area of the earth is about 0.25 gauss, and the geomagnetic field of Bama is as high as 0.58 gauss, which is more than double that of the general area! There are scientific researches: people live in a proper geomagnetic field environment, the body is well developed, the serum is clean and circulating, the cardiovascular and cerebrovascular incidence is low, the body immunity is high, the brain electromagnetic waves can be coordinated, and the quality of people's sleep can be improved. There is a large natural pit in the cave with lush vegetation. There is a dynamic detector in the cave, which measures up to 80,000 negative oxygen ions per cubic centimeter. Moreover, the water here is a natural weak alkaline water, which is almost the same as the water index in the human body, and if you drink it for a long time, you can improve your physical balance. Therefore, people call the Bama Hundred Demon Cave as "the first cave in the world".
The Hundred Demon Caves are said to be miraculous and wonderful, but when I actually came here, I found that there were too many people here, more than on the streets of Xi'an. I bought a ticket for 80 yuan and went into the cave. Because there are so many people, everyone is lining up to go inside, and when you enter the inside, you have to follow the flow of people and go forward, otherwise, you will block the people behind. This cave is indeed very wonderful and peculiar, spacious and open, the average height is 80 meters, the width is 70 meters, the main tour distance is more than 4000 meters, the Panyang River flows under the Hundred Devil Cave, you can see the peacock welcome formed by the huge stalactite, the fertile field is ten thousand hectares, the Monkey King of Jinshan, Du Fu and other scenic spots. Passing through the huge cave entrance cave, you can suddenly see the sinkhole of the Hundred Demon Cave. The stone walls of the sinkhole are more than 150 meters high, and the vegetation inside the sinkhole is luxuriant, giving people a mysterious and magnificent feeling.
In addition to the view, I also want to see the scene of health preservation, after all, many people come here not to enjoy the scenery, but to seek treatment and longevity. I also came here for health and healing. However, when I came to a cave dedicated to health and healing, I saw that the cave was full of stalls and medicinal herbs for sale, and miracle doctors who could cure all kinds of incurable diseases could be found everywhere. When they entered the cave, they saw that the cave was full of people, and they were lying down. I heard that they are all tourists and wellness people who come here every day to receive magnetotherapy, meditation, exercise and breathing. There are not only many elderly people here, but also women in their thirties and forties. Because there are so many people who come here to recuperate and heal, and they are all lying and sitting, the hole is crowded so that there is no place to stay. I really doubt that such a place can be used for healing, no wonder the out-of-town man said that he had only been here once or twice and never wanted to come again.
I've been working in the education sector for many years, and I often do some writing, but I only like to be quiet, and I don't like to be noisy, so no matter where I go, I'm scared when I see a lot of people. Therefore, when I travel abroad, I always like to go to those remote and quiet deep mountains and old forests alone, and never go to crowded places. I came to Bama Longevity Village this time because I had seen these places on TV shows in the past, but I ignored the many differences between the Bama Longevity Village on TV and the real Longevity Village. The village of Bama Longevity in the TV show is a tranquil and quaint mountain village in a pristine and quiet state that has not yet been explored. The characters seen in the show are also long-lived old people in the original ecology. However, the current Bama Longevity Village is no longer the longevity village before it became famous and developed, but a thriving tourist resort.
Instead of crowding into the crowd and watching these tourists from other places, it is better to go to the pristine village to see what you really want to see. So, I went into the village. In the village, color photos of centenarians are hung in front of their homes. I looked for a few houses with color photos of centenarians, but the doors were closed and they wouldn't open when they knocked. I think people don't want to be disturbed. I don't want to bother people anymore. I was looking at a color photo of a centenarian in front of a house in the village, when her door opened. So, I walked towards the old man who opened the door. The old man asked me what was the matter. I said I hadn't seen a hundred-year-old man yet, and I wanted to go to your house to see it. As I spoke, I stuffed a packet of milk powder and a packet of cakes I bought from the small store into his hands. The old man was grateful and said that I was too polite. Then he led me into his house. I went into his house, and he pointed to an old woman sitting on the sofa and said to me, "This is his mother, who is 110 years old." The old man is indeed very old, full of wrinkles, and he is also very thin, giving people a feeling of old age. I said to the old woman, "Hello old mother." The old woman seemed to be sick, lacking in spirit, and her face was tired. She pointed to a nearby stool for me to sit on. The old man poured me a cup of tea and told me that my mother had been sick for three or four days, and that her food was not good. So I said to the old woman, "Old mother, you are blessed to live so long." However, the old woman did not seem to understand me, and said a few words to me. However, I didn't understand what she said. But I could realize that she was telling me that she was sick and had a headache. Listening to her words, I didn't even drink any tea, so I immediately thanked her. Then, I saw a picture of a pair of sisters with their old birthday friends. Because they are sisters working together, they all live together. Centenarians are not uncommon here, but both sisters are centenarians, which is relatively rare. So, I knocked on the door. At first, people didn't open the door, so I kept knocking. When someone came to open the door, they were very upset and asked me what I was doing. I immediately handed over the 100 yuan. Without saying a word, they immediately became polite to me, led me to their house, and made me tea. But, sadly, I only saw the sister, who had passed away not long ago. Because they were about to eat, I didn't even sit down, said a few words, and left.
As I walked along the village towards the hotel where I was staying, I saw that there were many listed clinics in the village, and most of them specialized in treating cancer. But people know how much cancer can be cured, and people who do have cancer don't go to these little clinics for treatment.
On the way back, I couldn't help but think: this place is more of a tourist destination than a place of wellness and healing. I decided to stay here for a maximum of three or two days, and then go home, not thinking about staying here to relax and recuperate. I don't think people live for longevity, but for the sake of being meaningful and happy. It is not necessary to stay in that place to live a long life. If a person stays in a place that he does not like, longevity is a meaningless concept. In fact, there are many factors for people's longevity, including innate factors such as genes, as well as factors such as living environment and lifestyle. If you don't pay attention to your lifestyle, let alone live in a longevity village, you won't live long if you live in heaven. On the contrary, if you can have a good lifestyle and habits, there is no need to live in a longevity village. In Xi'an, in Shanghai, in Japan, in the United States, and even in the mountains and seashores, centenarians everywhere, eighty or ninety years old, abound.
According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the world's longest-lived person was Li Qingyuan, a longevity qigong practitioner of the Qing Dynasty in China, who lived to be 256 years old, as well as Gong Laifa of Guizhou, China, who was 147 years old when he died in 1996, and Li Qinglian, a medicine collector in Qingcheng Mountain, Sichuan, who was 154 years old when he died; Muhsin, an elderly Iranian woman, was 161 years old when she died in 1997, Ferm Kahn of Britain lived to be 209 years old, and an old man named Manpei in Japan lived to be 242 years old, his wife lived to be 221 years old, his son lived to be 196 years old, his daughter-in-law lived to be 193 years old, his grandson lived to be 151 years old, and his granddaughter-in-law lived to be 138 years old. In 2002, there were about 210,000 centenarians in the world, and more than 10,000 in China. So, the land of longevity is not limited to Bama's longevity village. Many of us get sick and don't live long, not because we don't live in a longevity village, but because we should check our living environment and lifestyle. In February 1994, at a symposium on "Molecular Views of Aging" held in Berlin, Germany, more than 40 life scientists answered the question "How long do people live?" The answer of more than 40 life scientists at the conference was that theoretically everyone can live up to 110 years old. If we have a good lifestyle and environment, we can live a long life even if we don't live in Bama Longevity Village.
In the evening, it began to rain lightly. I stood in front of the hotel window and looked out at the Panyang River, where the river bank was damp and quiet. I looked at the rain drifting outside the window, and I couldn't help but meditate: how many centenarians have been raised in this magical and beautiful land, and how many amazing legends have been written. However, those blue-tiled mud houses are no longer visible, those simple and heavy folk customs can no longer be seen, those quiet and deep mountains and forests can not be seen, and those perennial farming can no longer be seen. Now Bama Changshou Village is full of tourists, buildings everywhere, and even garbage can be seen everywhere. I don't know if the current environment can still raise so many centenarians.
The pursuit of longevity is everyone's dream. Who wouldn't want to live in the pristine and pristine environment that Bama had before, because that environment itself is dreamlike, beautiful, and that environment can make the flower of life bloom comfortably and brightly. However, the current Bama Longevity Village is like a young woman, who is becoming richer and richer, but is gradually losing its original simplicity and beauty.
At this time, my wife called and asked me if the house was rented. I said I don't want to live here anymore and I'll go back to Xi'an tomorrow. My wife was surprised and asked me how I had changed my mind. I said that I could recuperate in Xi'an, so I didn't have to stay here. The wife said that where the loess does not bury people, where the water and soil do not support people.
