Chapter Eighty-Eight: Relief Food

The "Potions Tutoring" lasted only one night before it ended.

At least Professor Severus-Snape did not mention the timing of the next "tuition".

With no more magic out of control, Jon can boldly unleash his Patronus at the Room of Need.

Of course, the practice out of thin air was just a matter of words, and Jon was still interested in how his unassuming Patronus would behave against the Dementors.

Now that the school is full of Dementors, it won't be difficult to wait for a chance to deal with them...... Jon had a plan in his mind.

......

The first few weeks of school passed little by little.

Defence Against the Dark Arts quickly became a favorite subject for most people, with only Draco Malfoy and his Slytherin brothers speaking ill of Professor Lupin, who led them to meet and learn about Kaba, a scaly, monkey-looking reptile with scales, and Grindy Low, a green monster with horns

However, Rubeus Hagrid, the teacher who worked with Lupin in the Magical Beasts Protection class, was not so lucky.

It is said that since he had been in trouble in the first lesson, his whole person was like having lost his soul...... It is said that for more than a month, he had his students raise a small bug called the "Flober caterpillar".

"I've never seen such a ridiculous teacher, we're here to teach, not to help him raise maggots!" Jon said more than once when he heard the older classmen comment:

"I thought Professor Graplane was bad enough......"

"Yes, I've never missed Professor Kettleburn as much as I do now!"

......

There is no difference between the other courses and the previous school year.

In the herb class, they are increasingly exposed to some dangerous herbs, in addition to the devil's net, there are also black roots, mandrakes, and ghost vines...... Jon has shown his prowess, and he rarely makes a mistake in dividing, grafting, or spore harvesting!

Professor Sprout valued him very much, and often asked Jon to be her assistant in the greenhouse. Of course, after each busy day, she would give Jon a small gift, such as a rare plant specimen, a rare herb, or a bag of moldy Bibi Beans......

In Potions class, they learned about shrinkage solution, vomiting potion, and fox killer. However, the level of potions that the second-year students had to control was significantly lower than Jon's, and he had little difficulty in class.

In Transfiguration and Charms classes, Jon did a lot better than he did in the same period last year...... In Transfiguration, Jon was praised by Professor McGonagall for being the first student to successfully turn a beetle into a button, and in Charms class, Jon was at the top of his class for his ability to pick locks and freeze spells.

As for the flying lessons, after getting the Special Contribution Award certificate from Mrs. Hooch, Jon seems to have let himself go a bit!

......

At noon on a Saturday in late October, Jon arrives in the hall and sees a group of students talking around an announcement.

At the front were the main players of the Gryffindor Quidditch team.

"It's a new rule for Quidditch!" Gryffindor chaser Katie Bell gently explained to the students behind who couldn't see the announcement.

"The new rules give the goalkeeper a protective area, fantastic!" Oliver Wood clenched his fists excitedly.

"The batsman also has a new piece of equipment - a glove that can catch Bludgers, which is pretty cool!" said one of Fred and George Weasley, grinning, and Jon couldn't tell the two of them apart yet.

"Chaser's changes will be applied in the next Quidditch Cup!" Angelina Johnson said nervously, "It's a complicated new rule, we can only hold the Quaffle for a few seconds, and then we have to pass it out......"

"Harry, what's wrong with you?" said the other of the Weasley brothers, noticing Harry Potter frowning there.

"Nothing!" Harry smiled a little reluctantly, "I'm just a little sorry that the Seeker hasn't changed anything!"

"Maybe next time!" Wood comforted Harry, patting him on the shoulder.

"Alright, let's all go back to the dorm, the training is over!, all go back and pack our things, and we will go to Hogsmeade in the afternoon, and if you have time, you can make an appointment with three broomsticks, and let's have a drink together!" Wood concluded.

Looking at the crowd that was excited to leave, Harry silently walked to the back of the line......

Hogsmeade is a pure wizarding village near Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and the only one in the UK to be made up entirely of wizards...... According to school rules, only students in grades 3 and above are allowed to go there on certain Saturdays.

As a sophomore, Jon naturally does not have the privilege of going to Hogsmeade-

But he suddenly remembered something, and hurried towards the Hufflepuff common room.

......

In the Hufflepuff common room, Hannah Abbott, Ernie McMillan and Justin Finchrie are also ready to go.

Jon hurried into his dorm room, pulled out a bag of things, and ran to Hannah Abbott.

"Hannah, do me a favor......" he said a little breathlessly, as he handed over the bag in his hand.

"Wow, this is...... Cookies?" Hannah's eyes lit up a little, then she glanced at the logo on the bag of muggle food in confusion, and read, "What? dog biscuits?"

"Yes!" Jon quickly explained, "It's a treat for dogs...... I've heard that there are a lot of poor stray dogs in Hogsmeade?"

"I don't know, my grandfather didn't take me to Hogsmeade before. Hannah whispered, "Wait, Jon, you want me to bring this bag of 'dog biscuits' and feed it to those Hogsmeade strays?"

"yes...... They're pathetic!" Jon grimaced with a sympathetic look, "And I'm not qualified to go to Hogsmeade right now!"

"Leave it to me!" Hannah patted her chest and picked up the bag of dog food.

"Well, thank you!"

Jon forced a smile and left the common room, returning to the dorm room.
