Chapter 203: Luna Lovegood
The Hogwarts Express let out a long beep, the train started again, and the lights came back on.
"Thank you, Alan, for saving me again. Penelope looked at Alan gratefully.
"Ah, nothing, your Patronus is really great!" Alan waved his hand.
"No, I wouldn't have succeeded in casting the Patronus Charm without you. Penelope's tone was sincere, apparently thinking so.
Alan stopped talking, and he sensed that Penelope was referring to something, not just that he had been rushed out in time.
"Professor, Alan, I'm going to patrol the train, to soothe the frightened little wizard, go first!" Penelope shook her beautiful curls and walked away with a determined step.
"Very responsible, a good girl!" Professor Lupin exclaimed.
"Of course, this is the No.1 among girls, the president of the female student council. "Ellen is proud of Penelope from the bottom of his heart.
Back in the brightly lit cubicle, Harry had come to his senses and sat back in his seat.
It's just that the cold sweat that keeps breaking out on his forehead shows that his state is not optimistic.
Ginny curled up in the corner, looking almost as bad as Harry felt.
She let out a small sob, and Hermione went over and put her arm around her.
"Are you all right?" asked Allen, "didn't you eat the chocolate I gave you?"
"Chocolate?, it looks like I don't need it anymore, Alan did a great job. Professor Lupin walked in and looked at Alan approvingly.
"Eat," he added, "it will help." I beg your pardon, I need to talk to the driver......"
After making sure that Harry and Ginny were okay, Professor Lupin walked past Alan and disappeared into the hallway.
"I didn't put poison in the chocolate!" Alan looked at them with a smile.
Harry, who had eaten chocolate, looked much better.
"I don't understand...... What just happened?" Harry asked, wiping the cold sweat from his face.
"It's the Dementors, Harry!" Hermione looked at Harry worriedly, "Are you really okay?"
Everyone looked at Harry, and the Dementors had the greatest effect on Harry, only he fainted!
Harry shook his head, and Ron told him what had just happened.
"It's horrible. Neville said, his voice higher than usual, "Did you feel how cold it was when it came in?"
"I feel weird," Ron said, moving his shoulders uneasily, "like I'm never going to be alive anymore......"
"But none of you - fell out of your seat?" Harry said awkwardly.
"You're not nervous, Harry!" Alan snapped into Harry's thoughts, "The reason we're not as hurt as you are is because we haven't been through what you've been through. ”
Harry was thoughtful, and the cubicle fell silent.
For the rest of the journey, they didn't say much.
Finally, the train stopped at Hogsmeade Station, and everyone got off the train one after another, and the scene was chaotic.
The owl was calling, the cat was barking, and Neville's pet toad was croaking under his hat.
The cold air on the small platform was pressing, and the heavy rain that was cold to the bone marrow was pouring down.
"First-year students, go this way!" a familiar voice shouted.
Hagrid's huge figure stood on the other side of the platform, beckoning the panicked first-year students to cross the lake in the traditional way.
"Students from other grades, come this way!" Percy and Penelope organized the little wizards from other years to walk towards the other side of the platform.
In the distance, Alan said hello to Penelope and was shoved outside on a rough dirt path.
There were at least a hundred wagons waiting for the remaining classmates.
Between the poles of the carriage stood a number of Thestrals.
They had no flesh on their bodies, their black fur clinging to their skeletons, and every bone was clearly visible.
Their heads resemble those of fire dragons, and their eyes are white and staring intently without pupils.
Wings sprouted from the bulge between the shoulder bones—large, black, tough wings that looked like they belonged to giant bats.
These Thestrals stood motionless and silently in the midst of the raging storm, looking strange and unlucky.
Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Neville climbed into a wagon.
Ginny and Alan got into the other one.
"Sorry, is there still a place here?"
As Alan slipped into the dark carriage, a trance-like voice behind him spoke.
A drenched girl peeked in from outside the carriage and asked.
She had unkempt, dirty, waist-length blond hair, very light eyebrows, and two eyes that bulged outward, which gave her a look of surprise.
There was a clear madness in this girl.
Maybe it was because she had put her wand behind her left ear to be on the safe side, or maybe she was wearing a necklace made of a cork made of butterbeer.
Alan guessed who she was, Mad Girl—Luna Lovegood!
"Ah, Luna, of course!" Ginny pulled Luna into the carriage.
"Alan, this is Luna Lovegood. Luna is on the same level as me, but in Ravenclaw. Ginny introduced to Alan.
"Extraordinary ingenuity is the greatest treasure of mankind. Luna said in a singing voice.
"This is—" Ginny was interrupted by Luna before she could finish her sentence.
"Alan Harris, we Ravenclaws know that. Luna said in a trance, her eyes fixed on Allen.
Alan smiled politely and nodded as he pointed his wand at Luna, helping her dry her drenched robe and hair.
"Thank you!" Luna still stared at Ellen.
"No one should be on the bus!" Alan smiled good-naturedly and closed the carriage door.
The carriages lined up, creaking and staggering along the road.
There was a faint musty smell and straw smell in the carriage.
"How strange is that the carriage can go on its own, I don't know what the spell is?" asked Ginny curiously.
"Can't you see that there's a horse?" said Luna.
Eren looked at Luna, her big silver-white eyes reflecting the Thestrals with bat wings.
"Really, Alan?" Ginny asked Alan in disbelief.
Seeing Alan nodding, Ginny asked in horror, "Why can't I see?"
"You're not crazy, your mind is as clear as mine. Luna stared at Ginny and said lightly.
But Ginny's expression was more complicated, and her mind was as clear as that of the mad girl Luna, which was not good at all.
"It was Thestrals pulling the carriage, and only those who witnessed the death directly could see it. ”
Alan amusedly looked at Ginny's unabashed, changing expression.
At the same time, he was secretly surprised by Luna's keen insight.
