Chapter 122: Black Magic

On Tuesday night, a Slytherin prefect brought Jon a note from Professor Snape.

Snape asked Jon to go to his office on Saturday night to do school work, disemboweling a large bucket of horned toads and removing hearts and livers.

Jon reluctantly accepted the note, having to accept the reality of confinement.

......

For the next two days, everything was uneventful.

Many students were eagerly awaiting Moody's first Defence Against the Dark Arts lesson.

After lunch on Thursday afternoon, before the bell rang, they lined up early outside Moody's classroom.

As soon as the class bell rang, the door of the Dark Devil Defense classroom suddenly opened automatically.

The Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw students scrambled into the classroom to get their Dark Forces: A Guide to Self-Defense, and sat in front of them in an unusually quiet atmosphere.

"You don't need those textbooks!" A few minutes later, the characteristic sound of footsteps came from outside the door, and Professor Moody dragged his heavy wooden leg into the classroom, "In Defense Against the Dark Arts class, all you need is a wand and listen to me!"

Everyone excitedly put their textbooks back in their school bags.

Moody's pulled out the roster and began to name them one by one.

His normal eyes moved down the list, and the magic eye kept spinning around, staring at every student who shouted.

"Very good......" Finally, he put down the roster in his hand, and his voice was hoarse and low: "I see the desire to learn in your eyes!"

“...... Just a few days ago, I received a letter from Professor Lupin who informed me about your progress in this course. Professor Lupin told me that you've learned a lot of the basics of how to deal with some of the dark magic creatures—you've learned how to deal with Boggart, Red Hat, Hinkpunk, Grindy Low, Kaba, and Werewolves, right?"

"Yes!" the students nodded in agreement.

"However, you still don't know enough about how to deal with the real dark arts...... It's a long way off!" Professor Moody paused, and continued, "That's why Professor Dumbledore invited me to teach you how to deal with dark magic spells for a year—"

Looking at the puzzled looks in the eyes of several students, Moody nodded, "yes, I've only been teaching for a year, doing Dumbledore a favor...... Teach only for one year and then relive my peaceful retirement. ”

"Dark magic, they are terrifying, dangerous, and cunning......"

Moody took out his wand and tapped lightly on the blackboard, and soon a large portrait appeared on it.

"Has anyone ever told me what this is?" Moody said in a deep voice.

Jon frowned as he saw that the portrait was of a man...... More precisely, a corpse, its skin and facial features rotting and tattered, only to see it running in vain in the darkness, tearing and shattering everything around it......

A Ravenclaw girl, trembling, raised her hand.

"Very well, Miss Bobin!"

"Professor Moody, I think...... This should be ......" Melinda Bobin of Ravenclaw stood up tremblingly: "Yin Corpse!"

"That's right, it's a Yin corpse...... Without life, soul, or mind, summoned by black magic, and manipulated by black magic...... The real walking dead!" Moody said in a deep voice.

"The Underworld is first and foremost a dead person, and it is possible to brutally kill a Muggle or wizard without destroying his corpse and turn it into a Grim ......"

"In the ...... During the Dark Lord's reign, there were numerous Muggle massacres and all the corpses were gone...... Minister Millison Barold had been speculating that the Dark Lord was trying to create an army of necrons, but before he could finally complete it, he was defeated by a one-year-old child, and the matter was over!"

Jon was keenly aware of Moody's slip of the tongue, though apparently the other students hadn't.

"The Yin Corps also has obvious weaknesses: they are afraid of fire and light, and they like darkness and dampness...... So some simple magic will work wonders when dealing with them!"

"Now, let's move on to the next ......"

Moody flicked his wand, and the contents of the portrait disappeared in its place, replaced by a blaze of flame.

The flames seemed to possess souls, constantly transforming into all sorts of ferocious beasts, devouring and burning everything.

Almost everyone, with puzzled expressions on their faces, sat there silently, not raising his hand.

"Calendar fire!" Moody sneered, "An inextinguishable flame!"

"Yes, you can hardly extinguish it, whether with water or sand, and a terrifying flame that burns everything it touches, including summoning its master...... One of the most powerful fires in history nearly destroyed a city of a million people!"

"There are a handful of spells that can stop the fire, and they are all extremely clever spells......"

Moody stood and pondered for a moment, he did not continue to introduce the fire.

Then, he waved his wand one last time.

The last portrait appeared in front of everyone, a woman, a living woman...... Her face was full of pain and hideousness, and her body kept changing, until finally she turned into a giant spider.

Zacharis-Smith raised his hand in the air.

"Oh, Mr. Smith?"

"I know what this is, Professor Moody!" Zacharis said excitedly, "It's an Animagus, isn't it?"

Moody was stunned for a moment, then had an ugly smile on his face.

"Animagus...... No, of course not the Animagus!" Moody shook his head, "The Animagus is a powerful transfiguration spell, not a dark magic;

"Blood curse!" The expression on Moody's face became extremely serious, "curse the soul of a monster on the soul of a wizard...... A curse that cannot be broken unless you destroy two souls that have been fused together at the same time......"

"Generally speaking, the blood curse can only be applied to the mother's body or the wizard in early childhood, and the soul of the male wizard and soul with a weak congenital soul will be quickly devoured, while the female wizard will hold on for a little time, but obviously this kind of persistence is not a good thing!"

"The soul of the monster will still gradually control the soul of the wizard and occupy the mastery; in the early stage, the wizard will transform into a monster from time to time and involuntarily; and in the later stage, the wizard will completely lose his memory and consciousness at a point in time, and become a real monster!"

"It could be a giant spider, or it could be a snake, or something even more terrifying......"

"A wizard who transforms into a monster will have more power than ordinary monsters!"

"There is no spell to be unraveled, unless you destroy both souls at the same time...... There are a few spells that can be used to alleviate the outbreak of the blood curse, but they can also alleviate the outbreak of the blood curse for more than ten or twenty years......"
