Chapter 62: Diagon Alley Again (Part I)

The second day of the year-end banquet......

Eventually, the wardrobes were empty, the bookshelves were empty, and all their luggage was packed into their trunks.

The house-elves carried all their luggage onto the train.

Summer notices were sent to each student, warning them that magic was forbidden during the holidays.

Hagrid took them into Thestrals' carriage and drove them to Hogsmeade Station.

On the way home, he couldn't stay in a booth with Astoria, and several Hufflepuff students, including Hannah Abbott, Susan Bones, and Zacharis Smith, pulled him into their cubicles.

"It's been great that we've finally broken that embarrassing record...... Jon is so grateful to you!" Susan said with a happy expression.

"We can't be satisfied with such a small result!" Zacharis patted Jon on the shoulder with an old-fashioned look, "We have to work harder next year, at least to finish second in the Academy Cup!"

"Second place seems a bit difficult, after all, there are two hangers in front of ......," Jon said secretly in his heart, of course, he still had a smile on his face.

They sat on the Hogwarts Express, talking and laughing all the way!

Look out the window as the farmland grows greener and cleaner, and the train passes through town after town, getting closer and closer to London.

Jon took off his wizard's robes and put on the short shirt and jeans he was more used to.

Eventually, the train stopped at platform 93/4 at King's Cross Station.

It took them a lot of time to get through the platform.

There was a shriveled old wizard guarding the ticket gate on platform 93/4, and only two or three students were allowed through at a time.

This way, there would not be a large number of people popping out of the solid walls at the same time, attracting the attention of the Muggles next to them.

Stepping out of Platform 93/4, Jon saw Mrs. Greengrass in front of her, holding one of her daughters in one hand, and Astoria kept looking back until she saw Jon and she smiled.

Secretly waving goodbye to Jon, she was taken away by her mother.

Soon after, Jon finds Eric and Judy, as well as his parents, on the platform.

Judy rushed over enthusiastically, hugged her son in her arms, and kissed him on the forehead.

Eric stood upright, smiled and asked, "How's it going, boy?"

"Not bad!" Jon snapped out of his mother's arms, "at least in the first few years......

"Don't be modest, you must be number one!" Eric patted him on the back, "I don't know you yet, when have you ever fallen to second place since you were a child...... Let's go, let's go home?"

"Wait...... Let's take a trip to Charing Cross and go to Diagon Alley!" Jon said quickly.

"Okay, let's go......"

The group soon made their way to the station's parking lot and boarded Eric's classic Jaguar XJ6 sedan.

......

Half an hour later, Eric's car arrived at Charing Crossroads in Westminster, West End.

Eric didn't take much time to find the dilapidated bar between a large bookstore and a record store.

"Leaky Cauldron Bar, a famous place!" he triumphantly introduced to his wife.

Judy also glanced at this very nondescript bar with some surprise.

Jon eventually begged his parents to stay on Charing Crossroads, not letting them follow him into Diagon Alley, after all, there were many wizards in Diagon Alley, not to mention the Tumbledown Alley next door.

Eric and Judy, two ordinary people, would not be good if they were targeted by dark wizards who discriminated against Muggles.

And he is a Hogwarts student, and I am afraid that no one dares to cast a spell on himself on the street in the daylight.

Walking into the Leaky Cauldron alone, Tom, the boss who had almost lost his teeth, smiled and nodded to him.

Jon smiled at him, and walked around the bar at the Leaky Cauldron to a small walled patio.

He drew his wand and tapped it lightly on the wall, and Diagon Alley appeared before him, and Jon calmly walked inside.

First, he touched the few silver sicos in his pocket, and then headed straight for Gringotts.

Passing through the gleaming bronze gate, he was received by a strange goblin.

The fairy humbly bent down: "Hello, sir...... Excuse me, do you need my help?"

"Of course!" Jon looked down, "I'm Jon Hart, a second-year Hogwarts student, and I need to convert £500 into gold galleons right now!"

"It's only June 15th...... the goblin looked up, rolled his eyes, and said slowly, "Mr. Hart, in general...... Muggle-born wizards don't come to Gringotts until August to redeem their gold Galleons. ”

Jon frowned, and said coldly, "I want to exchange 100 gold Galleons every year, it should be an agreement between you Gringotts and Hogwarts!"

"Of course, yes, Mr. Hart...... Don't be angry!" The goblin had an ugly smile on his face: "After all, it's always a bit of a hassle to withdraw money in advance, isn't it......"

Its voice suddenly lowered so low that it almost reached Jon's ear, "Of course, if you could provide a small fee, then everything would be a lot easier?"

"How much do you want?" Jon asked calmly.

"It only costs five Galleons...... The rest of the process will be much simpler...... What do you think, Mr. Hart?" the elf's voice sounded quite seductive.

For a mere hundred Galleons, this goblin actually wants to take five cents of interest...... Jon suppressed his anger, then glanced at the nameplate on the elf's chest.

Seeing the name of "Pull Ring", a sneer appeared on his face: "Okay, I promise you!"

An envelope containing ten £50 bills was dropped into Ra Loop's hand, who skillfully took out a bag of gold coins, then took five of them and put them in his pocket.

"Good cooperation, Mr. Hart!" he said with the same ugly smile on his face as before.

"Hmph, thank you......" Jon left Gringotts without looking back.

......

Diagon Alley in June is not as busy as it was at the end of July.

Coupled with the fact that it was getting late, there weren't many wizards on the streets right now.

Jon filled his bag full of gold coins and looked around casually, sneaking into a small alley while no one was around.

Then, he took out a small bottle of the compound decoction that had been prepared from his pocket, closed his eyes, and drank it in one gulp.
