Chapter 4: Good Times
I have several old photos, the first one was taken bare-chested on a leather sofa, some in the living room, some in the scenic area, and some in my grandmother's house in the countryside.
After my mother gave birth to me, I was transferred to work in the town, and I was assigned a small two-bedroom apartment on the second floor. At that time, my parents had regular jobs, so the living conditions were quite good. There is a large TV on a leather sofa and a large refrigerator with a pair of brothers wearing only trousers on it.
There's always a bottle of coffee and boxes of white sugar cubes in the white TV stand. Occasionally, when I get hungry, I will take a small sugar cube from the box, put it in my mouth and let it melt slowly, it is very sweet!
The kindergarten is opposite the bank where my mother works, and every day after school, my mother will come to pick me up, and by the way, I will buy two or two small cakes at the door, or a "cold dog". Other children can afford to eat, but their parents are reluctant to buy it for them. I deliberately ate slowly as I walked, enjoying the envious gaze of other children. Look, I'm already so vain in kindergarten.
I have to go to school every day, so I go to bed early, but the sound of the TV across the wall has a great attraction for me. No matter what type of TV, I can always listen to it for a long time. Sometimes when I hear something exciting, I will sneak up behind the door and peek, and if the door is closed, I will pass by the living room to take a look at the toilet.
Don't underestimate the IQ of children, I was a clever little ghost at that time.
The toilet at home is squatting, and I've always been terrified of the round, bottomless hole. Once, when my father was resting and watching a Hong Kong horror movie at home, I was playing with toys when I heard weird music on the TV, and I looked up and saw a picture that I will never forget. In the dimly lit toilet, the lights flickered on and off, and a beautiful woman was squatting in the pit, and at this time, a miserable white hand stretched out from the hole in the toilet......
I told my mom countless times that there were ghosts in the toilet, but she always told me to go to the toilet alone. So while she was helping me take a bath, I inadvertently dropped the soap into the hole, again and again. Finally, my mother bought a white float that blocked the toilet, ending the nightmare that had plagued me for a long time.
The homeroom teacher in kindergarten is my godmother, but I still call her this teacher. She has fashionable curly hair, high eyebrow lines, and the whole person looks a little mean. From time to time, she would use public affairs for personal gain, fill my soy milk cup, or give me some toys from kindergarten. In return, her mother would help her knit sweater after sweater while she asked for advice on stitching.
Later, when I was older enough to run errands for adults, my dad would let me take a cup and go 500 meters away from home to have a cold beer. As a reward, I get a loaf of bread with cream in between. But I haven't gotten the reward for this bread a few times.
During the holidays, my grandmother would pick me up and take me to the countryside.
Behind the house in the countryside is a large open space with a large fish pond. There are several grapefruit trees planted on the edge of the fish pond, and when the pomelo blossoms, the fragrance wafts far away. At that time, I felt that the pomelo blossoms were so fragrant, and I also had the credit because I contributed bubbles of urine under the tree.
There is a large grape trellis on the top of the fish pond, some of which are placed on the water surface, and the strings of green grapes and grapes look sour and sour, but they can taste unusually sweet. Whenever I go back in the summer, there are always children who come to me to play. At this time, my grandfather would wear boots and go down to the fish pond to pick a slightly yellowed and ripe grape for me, and by the way, he would catch a big mussel shell in the fish pond for me to play with.
Winter is coming, and perhaps the slightly bitter grapefruit is not very attractive to children, and they don't come anymore. But I don't really care about it, watching adults marinate bacon and dry bacon in winter is another kind of fun. Before the bacon was ready, the greedy aunts would cut off a small piece with a knife and roast it from the head with the help of the fire. The freshly grilled bacon was still bubbling with oil, and the aunts tore off the thinnest piece and hung it aside, and let it cool for me to eat.
At the end of the year, the little uncle will go home for the New Year. Even if he came back empty-handed, he would take me to buy delicious and fun food as soon as possible. On the way back, he would let me ride on his shoulder, carrying a bag in his hand, and the children would not dare to approach from afar. Even if I had something to eat, they wouldn't dare to come to me, because my uncle's forever straight face was much more terrible than not being able to eat.
My birth seemed to have eased the relationship between my grandfather and my grandfather's family, and although the two families still wouldn't move, my father was allowed to enter my grandfather's house. Every time my mother went back, she always brought something back, but most of them were for me. Grandma's hands are skillful, and the sweaters she knits are unmatched. In front of him was a pink sweater with a yellow duckling, a red cloak with black trim, and a plaid jacket of various colors. As long as you wear it out, you will be praised everywhere you go.
Mom and Dad often go out to play, but rarely take me. Finally, one time, they took me and my little aunt on a trip together, although it was only a scenic spot in Linxian County, but I was also very excited. I got up early, washed my face and brushed my teeth, and began to sit on the sofa and count and wait. Finally, after counting an unknown number of tens, they finally got up. While they were washing, I tied a bow on my little white leather shoes with toilet paper. Later, I didn't know when the bow was gone, and I was secretly sad for a while.
But this sad state didn't last long, and I left the bow behind. That was my first and last speedboat ride. The speedboat was so fast that it almost threw me off when I was five years old, and if it weren't for my mom and dad pulling me by one arm, I would have been in the lake with the fish. Although I was scared, the splash caused by the speedboat made me can't help but touch it with my hands. It wasn't until the speedboat came to rest against a lawn that I was back excited. Pulling the little aunt to jump and jump, still holding a can of Sprite in her hand, she began to roll around regardless of it. At that time, I still used a film camera for photography, but my parents were not stingy and saved one good memory after another for me.
Mom loves to dress me up, and I have many nice little dresses and hairpins. One of my favorite photos was taken under a peach tree in a country yard. In the photo, I am wearing a light purple sleeveless dress with a baby doll collar and a small light yellow flower on my chest. He wore white pantyhose and small black leather shoes with bows, and his hair was draped and decorated with a white headband. Under the peach tree, I was smiling carefree with a big colorful parasol!
