Chapter 332
Zhao Tianming unveiled the rest of the paintings one by one, the most precious of which are the two ink and bamboo drawings of Zhao Mengfu and Guan Sheng.
Zhao Mengfu as a calligrapher, almost everyone knows, he is good at seal, li, line, cursive and other calligraphy, especially in the Kai, line of calligraphy is famous in the world. Its calligraphy is charming, Xiuyi, strict and neat, the penmanship is familiar, and the original "Zhao Ti" book, and Ouyang Xun, Yan Zhenqing, Liu Gongquan and called "the four masters of regular script".
In addition, he is also a great painter, in painting, he created a new style of painting in the Yuan Dynasty, known as the "Yuan people crown". As an all-round painter, Zhao Mengfu is almost omnipotent in figures, landscapes, flowers, bamboo and stone, and is especially good at painting horses.
He, his son Zhao Yong, and grandson Zhao Lin all made "Figures of Men and Horses", called "Three Worlds of Men and Horses", which is passed down as a good story, but unfortunately, now the three paintings have been leaked to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in the United States.
In the Yuan Dynasty, the painting world became a trend of ink opera, there were many ink and bamboo masters, the four masters of ink and bamboo, all from the Yuan Dynasty, Zhao Mengfu, Guan Sheng, Ke Jiusi, Wu Zhen, Gu An, Zhao Yuan are all masters of painting ink and bamboo.
Zhao Mengfu painted ink bamboo, can use flying white as a stone, gold wrong knife as ink bamboo, the painted bamboo stone, the combination of virtual and real, contrasting with each other.
As a generation of grandmasters, Zhao Mengfu not only his friends Gao Kegong and Li Jin, his wife Guan Sheng, and his son Zhao Yong were influenced by his painting art, but also his disciples Tang Di, Zhu Derun, Chen Lin, Shang Qi, Wang Yuan, Yao Yanqing, and his grandson Wang Meng, and even Huang Gongwang and Ni Zan at the end of the Yuan Dynasty, all inherited and carried forward Zhao Mengfu's aesthetic views to varying degrees, making the literati painting of the Yuan Dynasty prosperous for a long time, and writing a beautiful and peculiar chapter in the history of Chinese painting.
Guan Sheng is Zhao Mengfu's wife, and the two of them have raised their eyebrows all their lives, and the couple has a deep relationship. She was a famous female calligrapher, painter, and poet creator in the Yuan Dynasty.
Guansheng is good at painting ink bamboo Meilan, the brushwork is pure, and the landscape, Buddha statue, poetry and calligraphy, she writes the line, the style is similar to Zhao Mengfu, once handwritten "Xuanji Picture Poem", five colors, penmanship is unique.
Pipeline Shengmo Bamboo Master Chengwen Tongwen Huzhou, for the literati painting style, the first Qingzhu Xinhuang, her original "Chaozhu", became the representative of the "Huzhou Bamboo School". The hand-me-down works include "Water Bamboo Picture Scroll" (, "Autumn Depth Post", "Mountain Tower Embroidered Buddha Picture", "Changming Nunnery Picture" and so on.
Guan Sheng is also good at using flying white as a stone, and, more layered than Zhao Mengfu's, Qingzhu bamboo leaves are painted with thick ink, lifelike, her pen of bamboo, strong and bone, both beautiful posture, "the pen is clear, quite charming", famous in the world.
Now, there are paintings of Zhao Mengfu and Guan Sheng at the same time, and they are both ink and bamboo drawings, and their preciousness is self-evident.
Not only in the collection, it is very valuable, the two paintings are in the same frame, but also can make a comparison in the painting techniques and brushwork, which is very beneficial for calligraphy such as Zhou Lao and Fan Lao. The two of them watched back and forth to see if they didn't play, and they didn't care about the rest of the scrolls.
Among the remaining calligraphy and paintings, there are not so precious, but they are also very valuable, Zhao Tianming's harvest this time is simply rich and staggering, and it is still a business without capital, if it is known by the stall owner, I don't know how he will feel?
There are a total of fourteen calligraphy and paintings in this pile, except for the previous nine, the remaining five are mostly flower and bird paintings.
They are Zhao Chang's "Hibiscus Picture", Lin Chun's "Begonia Fragrance", Dai Jin's "Butterfly Wearing Flowers", and the remaining two are the "Peach Blossom Mountain Bird Picture" and "Carp Jumping Water" by the Qing Dynasty female painter Jin Ming.
Zhao Chang, is a famous painter in the Northern Song Dynasty, calligraphy, painting, good at painting flowers and fruits, mostly folding branches and flowers, part-time grass insects, in the Northern Song Dynasty and Song Huizong Zhao Ji is equally famous, is an outstanding painter of flowers and birds in the Song Dynasty.
At that time, Zhao Chang went beyond the conventions to observe natural objects and acquire his artistic skills.
It is said that every morning when the morning dew is dry, he observes the flowers around the railing, and the color painting in his hand is adjusted, and the scenery is traced, directly sketching the natural life of flowers, birds and beasts, expanding the scope of expression of flower and bird painting, and expressing the object extremely vividly.
He also called himself "Sketch Zhao Chang", painting flowers is very business, the color is the best, and he paints more broken branches instead of whole plants.
Therefore, sketching has never been Western, in ancient China, has long been integrated into the painting school, and the various landscape sketches born later have also filled in a strong stroke for the history of Chinese painting.
Zhao Chang's paintings, which have been handed down very rarely, are not a big road goods, and they are also very precious, and this is still a colorful painting. Although the pigment has faded somewhat over the centuries, it has not diminished its value in the slightest.
Lin Chun, a native of Qiantang in the Southern Song Dynasty, the year of birth and death is unknown, a painter in the Southern Song Dynasty, during the Chunxi period of filial piety, he was a painter of the painting academy, and the painter was Zhao Chang, who painted flowers and birds, grass insects, and fruits.
The color of his painting is light, deep sketching, very interesting, the flowers, birds and fruits are directly separated by color to distinguish the intensity of the image, layer by layer of smudge yin and yang to the back, full and moist and light and transparent, the four are splendid, the birds and birds peep, startled to fly, lifelike. Especially in small paintings, the brushstrokes are fine, the cloth colors are distinct, and the stillness is allegorical, full of vitality.
Begonias have no fragrance, this is a pity in the world, however, the author attaches a rich association, on the picture scroll, depicting a few fluttering butterflies, lingering on it, as if the blooming bright begonias, there is a fragrance lingering, quite interesting.
"Begonia incense? this, it's a bit of a 'stepping on flowers and returning to horseshoe incense'!" said after the military master saw it.
Zhao Tianming and Gu Jiahua have naturally heard of the allusion of "stepping on flowers and returning to horseshoe incense", saying that it is the entrance examination of the Song Dynasty Painting Academy, and taking this as a proposition, requiring students to paint.
And in the final marking, the best picture, there are no petals painted on the scroll, and the candidate draws a galloping horse, the horse's hooves are raised high, and some butterflies are chasing closely and fluttering around the horse's hooves.
However, this allusion is not quite consistent with this painting, because the begonias in the painting scroll are extremely vivid, neat and meticulous, with lead white and rouge coloring, clear and bright, directly expressed, not like the hidden flowers in the allusion, with butterflies as a guide.
However, the better and more brilliant the begonias in the picture scroll, the more people regret and sigh for the fact that "the begonias have no fragrance" when they appreciate the scroll, rather than indulging in the fragrance of the empty begonias. Presumably, this is also the author's intention, he is not to make up for the regret of "begonias have no fragrance", but to magnify this regret infinitely.
Where in the world are there so many best of both worlds? There are gains and losses, which is why people often say that defects are also a kind of beauty.
