Section 338: Qu Yuan's hometown

We hurried up and came to Zigui County, Hubei Province, which is the hometown of Qu Yuan, the great patriotic poet of Chu during the Warring States Period of China, and one of the birthplaces of Chu culture.

Legend has it that the name of Zigui County comes from Qu Yuan, and legend has it that Qu Yuan has a sister, before Qu Yuan was exiled, she had rushed back to comfort her younger brother, and her feelings were deeply moving.

In order to show respect for this virtuous sister, later generations changed the name of the county to sister, which later evolved into today's Zigui.

Zigui County is located in the western part of Hubei Province, China, under the jurisdiction of Yichang City, located in the throat of Sichuan and Hubei, on both sides of the Xiling Gorge of the Yangtze River, the great patriotic poet Qu Yuan, left a rich historical and cultural heritage here.

And our final destination is Qu Yuan's hometown in Lepingli, Sanlu Commune, Zigui County, located on the north bank of the Yangtze River between Wuxia and Xiling Gorge, where there are many places of interest and legends about Qu Yuan.

According to the face of the well, the cold and treacherous and courageous, the reading hole out of the sassy talent, Qiu Sheng corn is emotional, and the pearl is vulgar.

Lock the water back to the shore of Longhanze, and the three Lu and eight scenery are better than Penglai. It is a small village in Zigui County, Yichang City, surrounded by green mountains and green waters, beautiful scenery, in 340 B.C., Qu Yuan was born here, here is the root of the poet.

Zigui is the birthplace of Qu Yuan, this birthplace is not hearsay, but well-founded, the earliest originated from the Eastern Jin Dynasty Yuan Shansong's "Yidu Mountains and Rivers": Zigui, the beginning of the country of the Xiong Yan of Chuzi, and the hometown of Qu Yuan.

Li Daoyuan of the Northern Wei Dynasty also quoted Yuan Shansong Zigui in the "Notes on the Water Classic". The Tang Dynasty writer Shen Yazhi quoted "Jiangling Chronicles" in "Qu Yuan's Biography" and said: Qu Yuan's former residence is in Zigui's hometown, and there is a women's temple in the north, and the clothes stone still exists.

Jin Yu Zhongyong's "Jingzhou Chronicles" and Tang Wang Maoyuan's "Chu Sanlu Dafu Qu Ancestral Hall Inscription and Preface" both clearly pointed out that Qu Yuan was a native of Zigui.

During the Yin Shang period, Zi was attributed

the place where the country of "return" is,

"Return", Guo Moruo thinks

"Immediately the junction of Shu and Hubei is the country of Kui",

"Its birthplace is in Zigui County, Hubei." During the Western Zhou Dynasty, King Cheng of Zhou sealed Xiong Yi to the field of the son, lived in Danyang, and the late Western Zhou Dynasty to the middle of the Spring and Autumn Period was the country of Kuizi.

There are ruins of the ancient Kui country city in Xiangxi today. Danyang, the earliest Yingdu of Chu State, is the settlement of Qu Yuan's ancestors.

From ancient times to the present, there are huge Xiong and Qu families living in Xiangxi River. To this day, there are nearly 10,000 people with the surname Xiong Qu living on both sides of the strait.

The great poets of the past dynasties, Du Fu, Su Shi, Su Zhe, Wang Shipeng, Lu You, Fan Chengda, and Wang Shizhen, all left poems praising Qu Yuan after returning to Zi.

Now it is late autumn, Zigui is the hometown of citrus with a long history, Qu Yuan in his famous article "Ode to Orange" Qu Yuan Temple, has made a profound description of the image and character of the orange tree, so our eyes are full of dense, boundless, leafy citrus forest, green branches and green leaves saffron fruit, green inlaid red, complement each other, poetic and picturesque, red and red, in full swing, layers of big red citrus fragrant, fruitful, make people feel pleasing to the eye, relaxed, dizzying, dazzling.

There are many places of interest and legends about Qu Yuan here, such as incense burner ping, Zhaomian well, reading cave, corn three hills, etc.

And we came to Qu Yuan's hometown, and there is a strange thing that is commendable and worth mentioning. The cattle here do not wear ropes, but they can follow commands.

Legend has it that Qu Yuan returned home from Chudu, and when he was about to arrive at the door of the house, the rope of the waiter picking up the book was broken, and an old farmer immediately untied the ox nose rope to him, and from then on, the cattle here no longer use the ox nose rope.

Zigui bird is a sub-regulation bird. According to legend, it is the elf of Qu Yuan's sister Qu Yugu, and every year in the fifth month of the lunar calendar, this bird calls my brother back!

My brother replied to remind people to make zongzi and repair dragon boats, prepare for the Dragon Boat Festival, and sacrifice Qu Yuan.

The original form of the Dragon Boat Festival is to celebrate the harvest, and later because Qu Yuan threw himself into the river on this day happened to be the Dragon Boat Festival, so the meaning of this festival gradually gave way to the mourning of Qu Yuan, also known as the Poet's Day.

And when the Dragon Boat Festival is held every year, the people of Zigui are still racing dragon boats on Qu Yuantuo. This ancient custom of soothing Qu Yuan's loyal soul has been passed down from generation to generation and extended to modern society, but unfortunately we came at the wrong time, and did not see the dragon boat racing program in full swing that the locals told us, and we can't feast our eyes, but the scenery here is not bad, the green mountains and green waters, the small bridge people, and the leisurely farmers of the villagers, it seems like an ink painting with a capital letter.

We came to the incense burner where Qu Yuan was born, and this incense burner is the place where Qu Yuan was born. , The place where great people were born is so different, different from the same, there is a bluestone tablet standing in the center of the current ping, engraved with a book: Chu Sanlu Doctor Qu Yuan's birthplace.

Legend has it that more than 2,000 years ago, there lived a family on this mountain flat, whose male name was Boyong. One day Mrs. Boyong was about to give birth, auspicious clouds suddenly appeared in the sky, accompanied by the sound of silk and bamboo, Boyong was very surprised, so he immediately put an incense burner outside the door, burned incense and worshipped.

At this time, the croaking sound of a baby came from the room, and a strange fragrance also came to the nose. Because the child was born with a bad omen, Boyong liked him very much and named him Qu Yuan.

Because Qu Yuan had a strange fragrance when he was born, this small ping is also called the incense burner ping. Then we came to the slope of Fuhu Mountain opposite the incense burner, there is an ancient well without waves, the water in it is dark green, it seems that the water depth is bottomless, it is said that it is dug by Qu Yuan.

Because the rock is very hard, it took a long time to dig a small hole. But he was not discouraged, and finally moved the mountain god.

The mountain god gave him an iron pickaxe, and he himself persevered, and persevered in digging for seven hundred and forty-nine days, and finally dug this well.

Qu Yuan and his sister have to come to the well every day to freshen up and make up, hence the name Zhaomian Well. It is often seen that villagers come and go leisurely and contentedly, and the evergreen trees are placed under the well

"According to the face well" combed the clothes, only to see that the dragon flying and the phoenix dance were engraved on it, and the strong and powerful characters were engraved: This is the well of Qu Gong's relics, and it must not be desolate in the future;

The well and the stele still exist today. The reading cave is in the middle of the deep valley of Xianggu Creek, and it is said to be Qu Yuan's reading place.

The entrance to the cave is engraved

The words "reading hole" have long been blurred, mottled and barely recognizable. Legend has it that when Qu Yuan was studying in the cave, there were stone tables, stone chairs, and stone benches.

Villagers say that when they pass by the cave at night, they seem to be able to hear the faint sound of reading aloud in the cave, and the sound is pleasant.

Actually, it's just the dead of night. Reading the cave of the mountain wind and water caused by a kind of illusion, is not what Qu Yuan's soul manifestation, on the drum rock in the west of the reading cave, there is a circular stone platform, legend has it that the king of Chuzhuang once beat the drum here to supervise the battle, so the name is the drum platform.

When Qu Yuan was in his hometown, he often came to this stage and recited his own poems, so it was also called the poetry platform. Our group unhurriedly came down from the reading cave with fairy spirit, went up along the Xianggu River, and arrived in front of Wangzhai Mountain, only to see a newly restored Qu Yuan Temple located on the hillside.

There are two dragon's eyes under the temple, such as the spring water of Bai Lian all year round, gurgling and flowing. There are three paddy fields near this spring, which are said to be the land of Qu Yuan's ploughing, and are called corn three hills.

This legend has been around for a long time. Seen in the text is Shen Yazhi's "Qu Yuan's Biography" in the Tang Dynasty. Shen Yun: After Qu Yuan was exiled, he ploughed the fields with poems, and every time he thought of the fate of the Chu State, he was worried and sad.

When strolling through the three mounds of corn, you can find that the ploughing cattle here do not wear nose ropes, but they know the turn when ploughing the land, and they are called Qu Yuan sacred cows.

Legend has it that when Qu Yuan returned to his hometown from the capital of Chu State, the waiter picked up 7 bundles of bamboo slips that wrote all the hardships of the people, and when he was about to arrive at the door, the rope that tied the bamboo slips broke.

The old farmer was enthusiastic and untied the nose rope of the cow and gave it to him, so that the cattle here did not need the nose rope.

It has been this way for more than two thousand years and has never changed. Of course, there is no sacred cow in the world, but the farmers in Qu Yuan's hometown are very intelligent, and the methods of domesticating cattle are different.

But it also reflects the reverence and nostalgia of the people of Zigui for this great historical figure. We are not in a hurry to go to Qu Yuan's cemetery to find out what Qu Yuan's cemetery belongs to, Qu Yuan's ancestral hall is not too far, the Tang Dynasty was built, and it was renamed the Qinglie Ancestral Hall in the third year of Yuanfeng in the Song Dynasty (1080 AD).

It is located on the mountain beam of Phoenix Mountain, facing southeast, and is composed of buildings such as mountain gate, two-compartment matching room, tablet corridor, front hall, music and dance building, main hall, enjoyment hall, Qu Yuan's tomb, etc.

But unhurried, leisurely, relieved to come to Qu Yuan's hometown freely, I feel that the scenery is really good.
