The Tao mind that conforms to its nature is harmonious and unified, such as immobile and selfless, while the delusional mind that arises from attachment and obedience to the flesh is restless, self-centered, and insatiable, and the two are in opposite directions. Authenticity requires us to give selflessly, and delusion encourages us to take it selfishly. These two opposing forces are constantly fighting and fighting against us, tearing us apart, destroying our inner peace and unity, and thus bringing us endless pain and trouble. Therefore, the only way to get rid of suffering and afflictions is to renunce the truth and make the true and the false one, and never confess the servant as the Lord and do everything according to greed, because greed is blind, reckless, and never satisfied. In practical life, we can observe that the more selfless a person is, the less suffering and afflictions he has, and the more selfish he is, the more painful and afflicted he is. At this point, we understand why people still need to cultivate the Tao, and it is because the Dao mind is contrary to the ordinary mind, and the cultivation of the Tao is to make the ordinary mind and the Dao mind together. Therefore, desires are terrible, and the most painful thing in life is all kinds of desires, and these desires cannot be satisfied, so they cannot be bitter. It is the pain that our cultivation is to be pure in heart and few desires, this is how big I think to live in a cave, how big a house to live in is the same for me, the pursuit of a big car, a big carriage, a lot of silver tickets abound in the world, but these resources are limited, but the pursuit of people such as the carp across the river, abounds, so it is impossible for everyone to be satisfied, and the human heart is complex, the human heart is like a snake swallowing an elephant, the gap of desire is difficult to fill, when you have a big house you are not satisfied, you still want to live in the mansion of the nobles, live in the palace of the Ninety-Five, but how many dignitaries and nobles are there in our Great Song Dynasty, there are several emperors, the number is very few, so there are too many pursuits, and there are many disappointments, and people fall into endless suffering, and a person's desires are endless, but in fact what he possesses is limited, and it is impossible to possess the whole world, the whole universe. Therefore, why are the housing prices of the Great Song Dynasty so expensive, like sesame seeds blooming, and they are still high and continue to rise, this is because everyone is fueling the fire, rich people have bought a lot of houses, and the poor do not care about what they can do, save money to borrow money to buy a house, everyone wants to have a house in their lives, two suites, countless suites, better and bigger houses, forget where their hearts are, the house is just a shelter from the wind and rain, not the most should be pursued in life, it is something that provides services for our lives, we should not tie our lives and trap ourselves in the house, especially recently, there is a brick family that has spoken out that a family of six should save money for their grandson and buy a house with six pockets of silver, which is really nonsense and nonsense. Formally, monasticism can be divided into meditation and practice. Meditation refers to the practice of static practice with certain postures and time constraints, such as standing on piles and meditating. Living practice refers to the cultivation in daily life, or the cultivation of the historical realm, which organically combines cultivation with daily life, without fixed posture and time limit. In the past, some cultivators have placed special emphasis on meditation, and some have particularly advocated living practice, and there are different opinions, regardless of victory or defeat, but in fact, I think the two should not be neglected, but used each other. Meditation helps to recognize the truth and to see the nature of the mind. When a beginner meditates, he feels delusional thoughts and is unable to settle down. Actually, this delusion is not brought about by meditation, but is inherently present, but is caused by taking it for granted and turning a blind eye. This phenomenon is called ignorance. A house without light, despite the dust, we still turn a blind eye, and when a ray of sunlight shines in, the dust is suddenly revealed. Therefore, if you have just started to meditate and feel delusional, it is a sign that your true light has begun to manifest. The key is how to deal with delusions. Some cultivators regard delusion as the great enemy of the path and want to put it to death as soon as possible. Delusions are either annoyed and angry, or hated to the core. So they tried every means to extinguish their delusions, either by counting their breaths, by keeping their minds, or by guiding. But delusion has a quirk: the more you can't get along with it, the more it can't get along with you, the more you want to get rid of it, the more often it comes, the more you want to leave it, and it prefers to chase after you. As everyone knows, delusions cannot be eliminated, and they cannot be eliminated. This is due to the failure to realize that delusional and true hearts are born from the mind. The heart born of the heart refers to the ordinary mind, where the heart exists and the Tao heart is hidden, and the Tao heart is revealed and the ordinary heart goes. We can only use the innate Dao heart to break the acquired mortal mind, but we cannot obtain the innate Dao heart with the acquired mortal mind. Regardless of true delusion, it is born from the acquired mind of distinction, and only by completely cracking the mortal mind and doing not delusion or truth, can the innate Dao mind be revealed. If we do not understand this, the phenomenon of chasing delusion with delusion and becoming more and more delusional will appear in the course of practice. Therefore, all cultivation methods that chase delusion from delusion do not belong to the correct cultivation. Generally speaking, the most difficult thing to dispel in practice is often the thing that you are most greedy for and the most unwilling to give up, and meditation often yields little results, so you can use it to practice lively, that is, through meditation, you can understand your own shortcomings and defects, and then consciously and purposefully cultivate and make up for them in your daily life. Wealth, sex, fame, wealth, and taste are like five kinds of winds, which vigorously and constantly set off the waves of our delusional intentions. If you dare to practice against the wind and remain unmoved, then it will not affect you even more when you meditate against the wind, and your delusions will not stop at all. In a way, practice is more important and meaningful than meditation. In terms of cultivation time, there is a limit to the amount of time that an hour of meditation is an hour, and a few days is a few days, while the practice of meditation can be practiced at any time, whether it is sitting or lying down, carrying water and chopping wood, eating and. In terms of function, those who are persistent in meditation often only seek self, but only seek themselves, and the result is self-defeating. However, he can give full play to the selflessness and interest of the Great Dao at any time, and he has saved himself in saving others. “
