Chapter 3: Happy New Year

"Huh?" I couldn't tell what he was talking about, "Oh, no, no, thank you......" I finally realized that he was asking the tissue.

Just as the beam of light swirling above hit, I saw his eyes, cold and detached, slightly puzzled, and his brow seemed to frown slightly in habit. He noticed that I was looking at him and raised his eyes to look at me.

I held my forehead, thinking that no one had noticed this corner, did he see it from the beginning to the end or did he just see it......

"How long have you been sitting here?" I couldn't help but ask.

He raised his hand and looked at his watch: "Half an hour." ”

Uh, well, it's a shame to be watched all the time, but fortunately, it's just a stranger, and I shouldn't see it again in the future.

"Ten, nine, eight, seven......" was in my embarrassment, when suddenly, there was a neat counting sound in the middle of the dance floor, and they were counting down.

"Five, four, three, two, one, Happy New Year!" people who didn't know each other cheered and even hugged each other. My sadness seemed to be dispelled by their joy, and my mood couldn't help but brighten up, the New Year is over, and it's a new year.

"Happy New Year. He said to me suddenly. At the end of the countdown, the lights were bright, and in an instant I could see his face clearly, his eyes were deep and cold, like a deep and cold sea, and the fine light fell on his eyes like stars.

"Happy New Year!" I smiled at him, saying that it was a beautiful thing to exchange blessings with a stranger on a night like this.

"You should laugh more. He spoke again, his voice still so low.

"Huh?" I was stunned for a moment before I realized what he had just said, and then remembered that I had just cried ugly, so I had to laugh dryly.

He didn't say anything more, but took a sip from his glass.

Life is short, there is wine tonight and drunk tonight. The thought suddenly popped up in my heart, and I laughed, I was really crazy.

I don't remember a few cocktails, and when I was a little drunk, I knew I couldn't drink anymore.

I rubbed my face to sober myself up, and my consciousness was still clear, but my feet were a little unstable. I walked out of the bar, the cold wind was blowing in my face, and I was completely awake. The street lights were dim and the road was a little damp, so I put my hands in my pockets and walked slowly back to my apartment. The apartment is not far away, ten minutes walk.

When I returned to the room, I took a warm and hot bath, shivered and got into the quilt, and suddenly felt that I couldn't sleep, and I was obviously very sleepy just now.

Looking at the pitch-black ceiling with his eyes open, the man's face suddenly flashed in his mind, he seemed to be a little lonely, maybe he was a person who couldn't return home. I patted my face and laughed self-deprecatingly, I didn't have a home to go to, but I still had to worry about others. I blinked my heavy eyelids, drowsiness, and in a blur of consciousness, I thought that tomorrow would be the new year, oh no, the wee hours were past and it was already a new year.
