The Confucian sub-sage Mencius even accurately measured the time of the birth of a saint to within a thousand years, that is: there will be a saint in 500 years.

And the last world-recognized saint of the Han and Tang Empires was Wang Yangming of the Ming Dynasty. Wang Yangming is a master of ancient Chinese psychology, known as the "Three Immortal Saints", died in the eighth year of Jiajing of Ming Shizong, that is, in 1529 AD.
