"Truth" is the core of Han Chinese civilization in ancient Chinese culture. In Han culture, "truth" is the source of heaven, humanity, Gewu, and Zhili, and it is extended to that ideology is the law of nature, and the law of nature begins with "knowledge of things".

Confucianism said in the Book of Rites and Universities: "Enlightenment is in the object, and the object is then known." "The so-called knowledge is in the object, and the words want to know the thing, and the thing is exhausted. "The Book of Rites and the University" has eight eyes - Gewu, Enlightenment, Sincerity, Righteousness, Self-cultivation, Family, Governance, and Peace.

Cheng Hao, a Song acting scholar, said: "Ge, Zhiye. As for things, physics is exhausted. ”

Zhu Xi said: "Ge, Zhiye." Things, Judah also. Push to the reason of things, and want to be everywhere. "..."The so-called knowledge is in the object, and the words want to know the thing, and the thing is exhausted. The soul that covers people's hearts is not unknowable, and the things in the world are unreasonable. However, there is no end to reason, so there is no end to it. ”

Translated from these words, everything has essence and regularity, origin and primitiveness, and has an established development track, an established pattern, a model, and a model, that is, the "reason" of things. In order to understand the causal relationship between the formation of things, we must march to the origin of things along the development track of things, find the original point of things, find the essence and regularity of things, and find the origin and primitiveness of things, so that you can see the "truth" of things.

It can be seen that since ancient times, the Chinese nation has been a nation that stresses tracing back to its roots, is a nation that is reasonable, rational and culturally developed, and convinces people with "reason" everywhere.

In life, you will see that Chinese put reason first in everything, and if two people have a dispute, the first sentence must be: "Let's talk about 'reason' first", and the dispute finally boils down to one sentence: "You don't talk about 'reason'". Even when it comes to the judge, we still say, "Let's talk about things regardless of people, let's talk about 'reason' first." When judging this matter, the judge will also say: "Let's talk about the matter on the facts, according to the 'reason' and the 'law'." "How powerful the Chinese are, comparable to the law." "Reason" can be said to be a beacon of civilization in the hearts of the Chinese. So, what is this "reason"?

Wang Yangming of the Ming Dynasty said, "Gewu, such as the 'Ge' of Mencius's 'Great Personality and Gentleman's Heart', is to remove the wrongness of his heart and complete the righteousness of his ontology." But where the idea is, it is necessary to eliminate its injustice in order to complete its righteousness, that is, there is no heavenly principle at all times and everywhere, that is, it is poor reason. Heavenly reason is 'Mingde', and poor reason is 'Mingde'. ”

"King James Quantang Wen" said, "Everything is also a thing, and the person who is qualified comes and arrives." When things arrive, their hearts are clear and discerning, and those who should not be in things are aware and knowing. Knowing that the intention is sincere, the heart is sincere, the heart is right, the body is cultivated, the body is cultivated and the family is together, the family is united and the country is reasonable, and the country is peaceful and the world is peaceful. Therefore, those who can reach heaven and earth also. “

I said: Trees have annual rings, and there must be a cause for their emergence, things are human and wrong, and they must be reasoned, reason is cause and effect, reason is the way of heaven, reason is the rule, reason is the law, reason is the origin, reason is the cycle, and can be restored; unreason is not enough to do the royal way, unreasonable is not enough to act the way, and unreasonable is not enough to be virtuous. If we talk about a family's reasoning and rules in everything, its family will prosper; in a large way, if we talk about national principles and rules in everything, our country will prosper.

This is the "reason" that Chinese hang on their lips everywhere, and it is also the origin of the core of Chinese traditional culture, "Gewu Zhizhi", citing scriptures to say so much, in fact, Chinese traditional culture is a culture that talks about tracing back to the source. The root of traditional Chinese culture is to seek the roots, trace the origin, and do everything to the best of its ability to trace the origin of things, and to investigate the essence and regularity of things from the source, that is, culture.

The Chinese nation is a nation that speaks of "truth", and no matter where the Chinese people go, they must take "reason" as the first, so no matter where the traditional Chinese culture is discussed, it has nothing to do with Western philosophy and is not a system, but there are still many so-called people who like to lean "national studies" to the west, put the halo of Western philosophy on traditional Chinese culture, and name all ancient Chinese thinkers as philosophers.

In fact, the thinkers of ancient China have always been scholars of the general sense, and their knowledge was broad in the entire universe, and they never dabbled endlessly over a trivial matter, nor did they simply work on a certain kind of knowledge.

To be correct, the Chinese nation is a nation that seeks its roots and asks about its origins, traces its roots and reasoning, and our culture stresses tracing back to its roots, the relationship between cause and effect, the repetition of cycles, the laws of the royal road, the norms of morality, the rules of everything, the logic of experience, and the pursuit of correctness of experience; all our learning begins with the "truth," and we do not just focus on a certain thing, but are aimed at all things in the universe. Therefore, our knowledge is called empirical logic, and more accurately it should be called "science".

Our political knowledge is called science, our humanistic thought is called science, and our religious culture is also called science, not philosophy!!.

What is philosophy? Philosophy is objective logic, and our study is rational sensory logic. Philosophy is a triangular theory from one to two and then to three, while ours is a theory of midpoint equilibrium from one point to two points. Western philosophy stresses the theory of defects, denies all ready-made knowledge structures, pays attention to innovation and development, and pays attention to the rationality of existence. However, Oriental theory talks about the established nature of things, investigates the original rationality of things, pursues the reincarnation and development of things, and pays attention to the direct experience, meanness and repetition of things.

Therefore, Western philosophy and Eastern science are not the same cultural system at all. We should not deliberately elevate our own culture and put it in a high name, nor should we deliberately belittle our own culture and make our culture untrue.

Hegel once believed that ancient Chinese culture could only be regarded as ideas, not philosophy. Ancient Chinese ideology and culture are like premature babies who do not grow up to a certain age, and Chinese people have lived in one world for thousands of years. Of course, this is a Western point of view, and it does not correspond to our vast culture. However, we have to admit that philosophy is a discipline that has always developed forward and developed reason to the realm of absolute spirituality, while ancient Chinese culture not only did not recognize the existence of spirit and did not develop reason, but also imposed reason on a cyclical track to move forward and backwards, backwards and forwards, back and forth in the long river of history for thousands of years.

From this point of view, it is not an exaggeration to say that the Chinese civilization along the Yellow River came from the hands of a fortune teller, because the "Book of Changes" has achieved the entire oriental civilization and has run through the long history of the Orient for several dry years.
