What is absolute "materialism"? Absolute "materialism" is a singular recognition that the world is material and that there are primitive rational laws in matter. In layman's terms, Confucianism believes that all things in the universe are inherently governed by rational laws, and that all things in heaven and earth already exist before they are created. All matter is the product of innate "reason" and "qi".

However, Confucianism is a study that completely and absolutely denies the existence of idealistic consciousness, and it is a study that treats all objects in the world as the "only" material existence. And that includes people.
Confucianism does not regard "man" as a species that exists consciously, but places "man" in all rational laws, denies the "human" cognition that human existence has above all rational laws, denies the existence of human beings with supernatural wisdom above all other species, and denies the existence of objective idealistic thinking other than intuitive thinking and sensory thinking.

The vast majority of Chinese do not know that Confucianism is an absolutely "materialistic" study, and it is a completely wrong understanding to put Confucian culture and Song Ming's Cheng Zhu Lixue thought within the scope of philosophy, indicating that many Chinese do not understand what kind of study Confucianism is.
Philosophy consists of two major theoretical systems, namely, idealism and materialism. However, Confucian culture and rational thought is an absolutely "materialistic" ideological system, which is completely different from the ideological system of Western philosophy.

The Book of Changes not only does not possess objective idealistic thinking, nor even the edge of philosophy, but is a purely "materialistic" thinking system.
The reason is that the principle of the Book of Changes is a closed dualistic thinking, so all cultural products derived from the Book of Changes are the products of closed dualistic thinking.
The principle of the Book of Changes only recognizes the existence of intuitive thinking and sensory thinking, while denying the existence of objective idealistic thinking in addition to intuitive thinking and sensory thinking, and objective idealistic thinking is the basis for human beings to produce the three major logical thinking of "concept, judgment and reasoning".
Without objective idealism, it is impossible to produce logical thinking methods such as comparison, analysis, synthesis, abstraction, and generalization, all of which Confucian culture and physical thought do not have
Don't preach how great the I Ching is, the principles of the I Ching have not been able to raise the human thinking method to the open thinking space of objective idealism, but to format the thinking mode of the primary species that only concretely intuitive thinking and sensory thinking, and artificially limit the human thinking method to the law of change of the material structure, closing the open space of the material structure, and locking the thinking of the Chinese in a limited closed space.
Backward or not?

In world culture, the I Ching is not a truly perfect culture, and the thinking method that the I Ching lacks is the precious human thinking that contemporary Chinese urgently need to make up, which is the fundamental reason why the development of Chinese culture began to stagnate after the thirteenth century. It is in this social context that the Book of Changes was produced, so the Book of Changes is the root of the idea of "learning from things" in Confucian culture and physical thought.
It is the limitations of Gewu thought that make it impossible for Chinese to get rid of the framework of rational thinking, and to raise the thinking of intuitive thinking and sensory thinking to the space of objective thinking.
This is the serious pathological defect of Confucian culture derived from the Book of Changes.
Chinese are not unaware that "three" is a space for open human thinking, and the I Ching put forward the mathematical principle of "one life two, two gives birth to three, and three gives birth to all things" three thousand years ago.
The mathematical principle of "one life begets two, two begets three, and three begets all things" was widely recognized in ancient Greece in the sixth century BC, and eventually became the foundation of Western philosophy.
Westerners put culture rooted in the phrase "one life is two, two is three, and three is all things", but why does China understand this truth, but it puts culture on the basis of "duality" instead of developing "three"?

However, the starting point of Chinese Confucian culture is "two", "two" is the process of intuitive thinking and sensory thinking, and intuitive thinking and sensory thinking are chaotic thinking, standardized thinking, rigid thinking, dogmatic thinking, memorization thinking, authoritarian thinking, privileged thinking, and so on. For example, on a major road, pedestrians, non-motorized vehicles, and motorized vehicles are mixed, which is dualistic thinking.
