Chapter 8: Life in the Burrow

Considering the ease of carrying, Evan didn't buy too many things, but he placed a lot of orders until he spent all the gold gallons in his pocket, which would be delivered to Hogwarts by the owl in batches when school started.

By the time they returned to the fireplace at the Leaky Cauldron, it was nearly evening.

After saying goodbye to his parents, Evan and Harry and the Shusley family return to the Burrow with Floo powder, and the Masons and the Granger family go back to the Muggle street on the other side of the city. It could be seen that Mr. Weasley was eager to follow them out to see what the bus station was like, but seeing Mrs. Weasley's expression, he had to dismiss the idea.

Because it was the first time he had used Floo Powder, Aven choked on the ashes of the furnace, and after a whirlwind of the world, he came to the Burrow, Harry was in front of him, and when Aven saw his face, he knew that he was the same as himself, and he felt very bad.

Climbing out of the fireplace, Evan looked around curiously.

It was the first time he had come to the wizard's house, and the kitchen was small and rather crowded, with a cleanly polished wooden table and a few chairs in the middle, and the wall clock on the opposite wall had only a needle and no numerals, and on the face of the clock were written words such as "make tea", "feed the chickens", "you're going to be late", and so on.

Next to the mantelpiece, there is a large mirror.

As soon as Evan shook it in front of it, the mirror suddenly shouted, "Tuck your shirt into the waistband of your pants, sloppy!"

Above the mirror is a bookshelf with three layers of books, including "Magic Your Cheese", "The Magic of Toasting", "Conjuring a Table of Feasts", etc., all of which are magic books for housework, and an old radio is placed by the sink not far away.

"Alright, kids, go back to your room and put away your new purchases. Mrs. Weasley came out of the fireplace, looked at Fred and George, and continued, "Especially you two, don't come over and make trouble while I'm preparing dinner. ”

"Got it, Mommy," Fred said, "we'll stay in our rooms." ”

"Don't make a sound, it's like a house elf. George said.

The twins laughed and ran out of the kitchen, and behind them, Percy and Ginny followed with their belongings.

"Come on, I'll show you my bedroom. Seeing that Harry and Evan were still standing in place, Ron pushed them.

The three of them walked through the narrow passage and came to a section of uneven ladders.

The staircase twists and turns, and at the top of the second floor there is a door ajar, and Percy is sitting at his desk, writing letters with his newly purchased quill, and not far from him is a very beautiful brown owl.

"That's the new owl that Pecy bought for him after he became a superior. "But he wouldn't lend it to me, in fact, he's been very strange this summer, always locked up in the house by himself, sending a lot of letters." ”

"It's no surprise, your brother has a new girlfriend. ”

"Oh my God!" Ron said with a surprised expression and some incoherence at hearing Aven's words, "but that's Percy, who will take a fancy to him, I mean, of course, he is ambitious, he has all plans, he is going to be the Minister of Magic, but I am going to tell Fred and George about this and see what they have to say." ”

"Don't get excited, it's just my guess. Evan was a little speechless at Ron's sluggishness.

By the time the three of them had climbed to the third floor, Evan had just caught a glimpse of a pair of bright brown eyes staring at them when the door clicked shut.

"It's Ginny!" Ron said, "it's incredible, you don't know, she never closes the door!"

"Apparently your sister was a little shy when she saw Harry. ”

Evan looked at the door, thinking about how to get Tom Riddle's journal from Ginny.

"yes, she's been talking about you all summer long. Ron looked at Harry uncertainly, "Fred said she wants your autograph, maybe you should give her one." ”

"Don't be stupid, Ron. "That's not simple worship, your sister likes Harry, and she wants to be his girlfriend." ”

"Aven!"

Ron looked frightened, and Harry was unnaturally blushing like a ripe apple, pretending not to hear Evan and Ron's conversation.

"Well, that's all nonsense. Evan covered his forehead with his hand, these two guys were as dull as each other, and they were really innocent little boys, no wonder they almost couldn't find a dance partner at the fourth-grade Christmas ball.

They climbed up another floor, and stood outside the twins' room, the door closed, and it was quiet inside, there was no sound at all, and they didn't know what they were doing.

When the three of them climbed to the top floor, they came to a peeling paint door with a small sign that read "Ron's room".

Evan and Harry walked in, the sloping ceiling almost touching their heads.

It's like walking into a big stove, and everything in Ron's room looks a dazzling orange-yellow: the bedspreads, the walls, even the ceiling.

Then Evan discovers that Ron had covered almost every inch of the shabby wallpaper with posters, all of which depicted the same seven witches and wizards, dressed in bright orange-yellow robes, carrying broomsticks, and waving happily.

"Your Quidditch team?" Harry asked.

"Chadri Artillery, ninth in the club!"

Ron pointed to the orange-yellow bedspread, which was brightly emblazoned with two huge C's, and a flying cannonball.

The conversation continued on Quidditch, and Evan looked curiously at the chubby, gray-haired mouse Spotted, who was sleeping in the corner of the room.

Ignoring Evan's gaze, Spotted continued to snore.

Evan looked at it carefully for a while, but didn't notice any difference. If he hadn't known it was an Animagus, he would have thought that Spotted was a little mouse with hair loss, a toe missing, and sleeping all day in high spirits.

"Bang, bang!" The sound of a pipe being knocked suddenly came from above, startling Aivan.

"Don't worry, it's the ghoul in the attic, always knocking on pipes and humming. Ron explained, "I wanted to get rid of it, but Dad wouldn't let me, and he thought it was funny." ”

As Ron said, life in the Burrow is very interesting.

Over the next month, Evan and Harry followed Fred, George, and Ron to the backyard to clean up the goblins, and several of them also went to the backhills from time to time to ride broomsticks and practice Quidditch.

In the evenings, Harry and Ron were busy completing their summer homework, and Evan was used to going to Percy for some knowledge, and Percy was excellent in almost every class, especially in the history of magic and charms classes.

As for Fred and George, Evan took the opportunity to talk to them, and found that the twins' inventions were still in their infancy, and after he made a few suggestions from memory, they locked themselves in their rooms for research at night, making various noises from time to time.

Over the course of a month, Harry and Evan became extremely familiar with the Weasleys.

Mrs. Weasley mended their socks and forced them to refill them four times per meal, while Mr. Weasley inquired about Muggle life.

With the exception of Ginny, everyone else quickly adjusts to Harry and Aven's integration into their family's life. To be precise, it seemed that Ginny was nervous about knocking something over whenever Harry was around, but when she was alone with Aven, she behaved normally.

Because of their age, Evan and Ginny get along very well, but until the last day of the summer vacation, Evan still did not get Tom Riddle's diary from Ginny.

Evan hinted several times, but Ginny didn't react.

Unable to explain it explicitly, and unable to actually run into Ginny's room to find it, Evan wasn't even sure if the other party had found the journal or had found it, but he didn't tell himself.

But he is not in a hurry, there is still time, and the worst outcome is to follow the development of the plot, and when the time comes, poor Ginny may suffer a little guilt.

But having the opportunity to be saved by Harry's hero doesn't seem to be a bad thing for this little girl who has a crush on Harry.
