Chapter 199: To the Cave
The house-elf looked at the destroyed locket with excitement, his knees weakened, he couldn't stand, and he couldn't stop saying some words of thanks to Aven, but Sirius didn't let him delay for long.
"Kreacher, take me to the cave. Sirius commanded, a flash of determination on his face, he was going to bring Regulus' body back.
He grabbed the house-elf and was about to apparage.
"Wait, Sirius, we're going too!" Harry hurriedly stopped him.
"No, you three stay here and wait for me. Sirius refused.
From Kreacher's account, he knew that the cave was very dangerous, that it contained the evil magic left by Voldemort, and that he had gone to retrieve Regulus's body, and that there was no need for the three children to risk it.
"I know what you're thinking, but the three of us aren't kids anymore!" Harry looked at Sirius, "We've defeated Voldemort many times in the last two years, and if there's any danger in that cavern, we can help." ”
"That's right, let's go with you, Sirius!" Harry had just finished speaking, and Hermione followed suit, "No one can remain indifferent after hearing Kreacher say that, we all want to do something for Regulus, even if it's to help you bring his body back for burial." ”
Hearing Hermione's words, Kreacher let out a loud wail.
Evan saw Sirius's obvious hesitation on his face, he knew that the other party would definitely be persuaded by Harry and Hermione, it was only a matter of time.
Sirius has never been rational when it comes to taking risks.
Truth be told, Aven didn't want to go to that cave.
From what information is known, the cave is very dangerous, with a lot of Yin corpses and other evil dark magic left by Voldemort, and since the Slytherin locket has been destroyed, there is no point in venturing there.
This is even more out of place, especially considering that it's Christmas.
But if Harry and Hermione were to go, he would have to go along.
Hermione was right, and after listening to Kreacher's story about Regulus, no one could remain indifferent, and they had to do something for him.
If you must go, it's best to go with Dumbledore, just in time to talk to him
"Okay, I can take the three of you. Sirius relented, straightened up, and continued, "We'd better hurry, I think"
"I think it's best to inform Dumbledore about this. "If I'm not mistaken, Kreacher just said that it was the Yin Corps that dragged Regulus into the lake, and no one knows how many of these monsters are in that cavern. ”
"Corpse?!" Sirius, Harry, and Hermione froze.
"To put it simply, it's a corpse controlled by black magic. They have no life, no soul and no mind, and they have little to fear except fire and light. If there were a lot of corpses in that cavern, it would be impossible for a few of us to be their match, let alone find the corpse of Regulus from it. Evan turned to Kreacher and said, "Kreacher, do you remember the number of dead people you saw?"
"The big black lake, Kreacher saw that the whole lake was full of dead man's hands. Kreacher gestured as he spoke, his big light eyes filled with fear.
"In this way, the number of Yin corpses is indeed very large. Evan looked at Sirius, "We have to be careful, and don't forget, there are other spells under Voldemort's cloth besides the Yin Corps. ”
"But Dumbledore is still at the Ministry of Magic, he's busy, and the Wizengamot is trying Peter Pettigrew's case!" "Looking at Sirius, he didn't seem to want to tell Dumbledore about it, he didn't want to waste his time.
He wanted to go to the cave and bring Regulus back at once.
The thought of his brother's corpse lying alone in that dark, damp cavern sent Sirius with a sense of sadness that he had never felt before.
"I don't care about any Yin corpse, and I don't want to delay any longer"
"No, we have to tell Dumbledore that it's very important. Evan insisted, shaking the locket in his hand, "Dumbledore must know about this locket as well. ”
Maybe it's because of the safety of Aven, Harry, and Hermione, maybe Evan saved himself not long ago, maybe
Anyway, at Aven's insistence, Sirius was extremely reluctant to inform Dumbledore.
He apparitioned and went to the Ministry of Magic, and Evan and they stayed here to wait for news, and he was going to use this time to go down and look at the Black family's book collection.
"Please go this way, little masters!" Cleicher was much more enthusiastic than before, taking the initiative to lead the way and explain the history of each of the surrounding decorations.
House-elves know a lot about what's inside this house.
He could tell when and why each ornament had been placed, and even the origin of each stone.
As soon as he entered the basement library, Evan noticed the large green tapestry on the central wall, and the family coat of arms sewn into it with gold thread: a mountain symbol, two five-pointed stars, and a shield with a short sword, flanked by two large leaping dogs.
Evan didn't know what the coat of arms meant, and his attention was entirely focused on the list of names at the top of Black's family tree.
Many of these names appear repeatedly in the history of magic, and they are all extremely famous wizards.
This shows the past glory and honor of the Black family.
Aven was interested in comparing these names to the history of magic that he had in mind, and in addition to discovering that the Black family was related to almost all pure-blood wizarding families, many of which were extinct.
Even the families of the four founders of Hogwarts have had a marriage with the Black family.
Looking at the names of these familiar and illustrious wizards, and thinking back to the things they have done that have influenced the development of the wizarding world, one can feel that this family tree is full of history.
The further down you go, though, the more unpleasant the name becomes.
For example, Kreacher is introducing Phineas Nigelus, Sirius's great-great-grandfather, whom Evan had just seen on the Hogwarts portrait the other day, an old stubborn man with a goatee who was very partial to Slytherin students.
Although Kreacher portrays him as great, anyone who knows history knows that this guy is probably the most unpopular Headmaster Hogwarts has ever seen. (To be continued.) )
