Volume 2 Plane Rivalry Chapter 231 Buddha, Taoism, and Confucianism's Views on Cause and Effect
It turned out that when Zhong Kui touched the ding and died, Du Ping also came to the capital. When he heard the news, he was sad and angry, so he donated money to build a temple as a friend of Zhong Kui's fellow villagers.
Today, coinciding with the great drought, Du Ping took people into the temple to worship, praying for the heavenly punctar to be poured down for the benefit of the world. After Du Ping left, Zhong Kui thought that Du Ping was righteous and squandered money, and he was kind to himself, and he wanted to marry his lonely sister to him.
After thinking about it, it was important to solve the drought in front of him, so he made up his mind to go back and ask the king of Hades to go to the Lingxiao Treasure Hall to tell the Jade Emperor and order the five dragons to rain.
Zhong Kui begged for rain for the world, delaying his visit to his sister, and the king of Hades specially approved him to lead the ghost pawn back to talk about this wish.
At this time, the pear blossom mourning was still in the capital, and several sacrifices met Du Ping, and they fell in love with each other. It's just that Zhong Kui just passed away, so it's hard to mention it!
The general exerted his might, and at the same time entrusted the two of them with a dream, explaining his experience of coming to the Netherworld, so that his relatives should not worry. And put forward the hope that Du Ping and his sister will marry, and he will marry his sister in person at that time.
Du Ping and Pear Blossom woke up from their dreams at the same time and said exactly the same dream, knowing that it was a dream that Zhong Kui entrusted to the two of them at the same time. Du Ping chose an auspicious day for the marriage, wrote a red sticker, and incinerated it in the Zhong Kui Temple.
By the time of the fifth watch of the auspicious day of the zodiac, Zhong Kui had already selected dozens of ghost pawns who looked like him before his death, and restored his human form to give to his sister. Pear Blossom felt in a trance that she was riding on the back of a horse covered in red and color, and her brother was also riding on a tall horse, and she smiled and congratulated her: "Congratulations sister, congratulations sister!" Pear blossom returned the gift shyly.
So Zhong Kui rode a horse to lead the way. In the red lights, the ghosts who sent off relatives blew suona and rejoiced, some made grimaces, some shrugged their shoulders and twisted their waists, dancing while walking, and cheering for the bride! Zhong Kui brother and sister are riding on horseback, you smile at me, I smile at you, forgetting the separation of yin and yang for a while.
At dawn, there was a faint sound of drums in front, and Du Ping's welcoming party came. Zhong Kui reluctantly said goodbye to Pear Blossom, and the ghost soldiers who sent off the relatives drank to the bride for a while, and then gradually moved away under the leadership of Zhong Kui.
Zhong Kui married his sister, but since then he has a heartfelt matter, repaid his kindness, and no longer has any worries about family affairs in the world, so he can rest assured that he will be his general who exorcises evil spirits!
Yang Zhuochao said: It turns out that this "Heavenly Master Zhong Kui" still has such a tortuous and bizarre experience! Now being in such a position in this Netherworld Mansion is enough to make up for the unfortunate encounters in the past!
Xie Bi'an said: This may also be a matter of mutual encounters! According to the Buddhist point of view, it is such a thing as "cause and effect." According to Taoism, it is "bearing"; Confucianism is "loyalty and forgiveness".
Cause and effect is the basic law of Buddhism, which advocates that the good and evil karma of this life can lead to the retribution of good and evil in future lives, and the practice of generosity, vows, patience, diligence, meditation, and the six paramitas of Prajnaparamita in Buddhism are all based on the belief in cause and effect, but they are different from fatalism.
The Buddha said, "All the Dharma is born because of fate, and the Dharma is extinguished because of it." "Everything that exists is called the Dharma. Cause and effect can be reversed, everyone is a slave of karma for thousands of lives, and is turned by karma, here karma is the cause, although this cause is not good, but if we use good karma to change this bad cause, the Buddha's fate, we can still bear Buddha's fruit!
When we use the method of willingness to deal with karma, karma is the cause, and the desire is the cause, and we use the willingness to change karma! That is, the will to completely free ourselves from the persecution of karma.
Buddhism believes that causes and conditions can also be reversed, depending on the circumstances under which it is said, and also depends on the circumstances under which it is said that if evil is the cause and good is the cause, and stopping evil with good can obtain good results; If good is the cause and evil is the cause, and if the evil is used to achieve good, then the evil result will be obtained.
Cause is a cause that can be created and produce a certain consequence, and an effect is the result of a certain cause. The theory of cause and effect was born from the Buddhist theory of dependent origination, which is the basis of the Buddhist theory of reincarnation and liberation, and with the development of Buddhism, different views on the theory of cause and effect have emerged.
The law of cause and effect points out: sow melons and get melons, and sow beans and get beans. Buddhism believes that everything can be a cause or an effect, and that there is no absolute cause and no absolute effect.
Buddhism denies the cause and effect of the independent evolution and interweaving of all things in the world, but connects all cause and effect with karma so that the objective world is dependent on all beings and manifests.
fate, also known as "fate"; It is an invisible connection between people; It is the opportunity and possibility of some kind of inevitable encounter, including all emotions. Fate is composed of many coincidences, many coincidences, many suddenness, some accidents, and some inevitability.
Later generations are described as the threads of fate entangled, and it comes from a religious concept. Confucianism and Taoism do not highlight the leading nature of fate, but there will also be the term fate and opportunity.
There is a saying: "The fate is determined by heaven, and the share depends on man"; Logically: there is a fate before there is a share, and there is a fate that is not afraid to experience "there is no banquet in the world that will not be dispersed". The end of fate means that the two are separated for some reason, and there is no room for turnaround;
The fate is not over, which means that the two have gone through a series of tests and finally ended in reunion. No matter which occasion you choose intentionally or unintentionally, as long as you don't sleep alone in a narrow and lonely corner and lick your wounds to punish yourself, as long as you step out, you will naturally meet people of different colors on the left and right nearby.
"Fate", so that people who meet each other meet, know each other, and fall in love, "share" is from the will of people, and there needs to be a way to contact each other.
Contact is like two ships cruising the sea, destined to separate, with the way of communication, it is like an invisible rope that will be interlocked with each other and pulled each other, so that it will not be washed away by the huge space waves and lose the blessings of neighbors.
The "share" needs to pay to continue to maintain the long-term fate of the sky, and it is necessary to break the stranger isolation with the other party, and gradually establish the relationship between each other in the construction of feelings, in order to no longer make the fate due to the expiration of the time limit and the return of time and space to isolate the opportunity again, so that the two people can be transformed back into irrelevant strangers and left all over the cliff.
Taoism talks about "bearing", that is, "cause and effect" in Buddhism, but it is different from "cause and effect"!
"Cause and effect" is directed at the individual, who planted the cause and whose effect, has nothing to do with others; "Bearing" includes "cause and effect", but it is further believed that the good and evil actions of individuals not only affect individuals, but also affect the harmony of clans, dynasties, and even spatial planes.
For example, if the predecessors do good, the descendants will be blessed; If people do evil in the present, woe will be to the generations to come. Because of the "burden," there are people in this world who have always done good deeds, but they often receive misfortune. There are those who have been doing evil, but they have always been blessed. Taoism believes that this is due to the "burden" that people suffer.
That is, if he does evil, his descendants will be brought to his descendants. If I do good, my children will be blessed. In the same way, my fate is to bear the consequences for my ancestors, and if my ancestors do evil, I will be in trouble; If the ancestors do good, they themselves will be blessed.
It's like the grandparents accumulate wealth, the younger generations enjoy it, the grandparents owe debts, and the younger generations repay the money. That is, "the house of goodness, there will be afterglow; If you don't accumulate goodness, there will be aftermath".
The idea of non-action originates from Lao Tzu: "It is to do nothing with the saint, and teach without words, so that the husband and the wise do not dare to do it, and if they do nothing, they will not be cured." Therefore, Taoism regards "non-action" as the foundation for attaining the will of the Tao, winning the heart of heaven, and achieving peace.
said: "The so-called inaction does not act first; The so-called "those who do nothing" do what they do". After the Wei and Jin dynasties, "Wu Wei" gradually became the basis of the Taoist social outlook. The Kawagami Gong said in the middle: "The Dharma is inactive, the governing body is beneficial to the spirit, and the governing of the country is beneficial to the people."
The so-called "inaction" of "governing the body" should be "inaction, inaction, no teacher, as if no one is alone, as for inaction," so that the whole body, danger, and blame can be removed. The so-called "inaction" of "governing the country" should govern the world in accordance with the laws of nature and the laws of social development, so that the people of Li can benefit.
How can we achieve "inaction"? He pointed out: "If we want to do nothing, we should first avoid harm." Who is far from suspicion, far away from villain, far away, far away; Be cautious of eating, be cautious of tongue, be cautious of trouble, and be cautious in fighting.
Always think about mistakes, and change to good. He can also understand astronomy, geography, personnel, ghosts, timing, and mathematics. Yes, it is with the saint and the same virtue as the sky".
It can be seen that the "non-action" of Taoism is not a passive avoidance of the world, but should study hard, be proactive, be familiar with nature and society, and be good at dealing with interpersonal relationships.
Therefore, "inaction" is not to do nothing, not to do anything, but to act according to the "Tao", to live in the world must abandon self-action, far away from disasters and prudent actions, the pursuit of simplicity and frugality, quiet and few desires.
Confucianism is about "loyalty and forgiveness", loyalty is loyalty to oneself, and forgiveness is forgiveness to others. Self-sustaining is what I do, and being faithful to others and doing my best is a basic condition for cultivating one's own morality.
Forgiveness is to forgive others, and if others have any mistakes, we must have the idea of forgiving and forgiving others. Then if you can be faithful to yourself, your personality will be high; If you can be forgiving to others, you will have a beneficial mind to others, and you will not be harsh on others, nor will you be harsh on anyone.
What Master Zhong Kui has experienced may have confirmed some of the above views! However, I myself think that no matter what happened in my previous life, it is good to live in the present, or to be inhuman like us, to do a good job in the present. That is, worthy of your own heart!
Yang Zhuochao said with emotion: Alas, some things are difficult to explain! Impermanence adults can be careless, but many people always have a knot that they can't let go.....
And at this moment, everyone only heard someone shouting the Buddha's name! I saw a person and a rider in the distance walking slowly, and under a closer look, it turned out to be the Bodhisattva and the Divine Beast!
