Chapter 9 The Ultimate Chapter 2 Prajna Seeks His Mother
Prajna is almost sixteen years old now, and he has never seen his mother since he can remember, Praruo came to Wenjing's cave this time, Praruo came to Wenjing this time to ask about his life experience, and the previous Pranya also asked Wenjing, but Wenjing has not answered, Praruo was about to knock on the door, when he heard the sound of a quarrel coming from the door, and the sound of Wenjing and others arguing came from the house, and Praruo heard them talking about their names when they were arguing, which made Praruo not have the urge to go in, and directly pricked up his ears to listen outside the door.
The sound of Wenjing and others talking could be heard in the room. Wen Jing: It's unfair to Prajna to do this, Prajna's talent has inherited his father perfectly, and even surpassed his father, such a piece of jade, it will be polished well in the future, and it will be able to shine in time. Another voice said: You have forgotten about his father's incident, and now that I have let him practice, it is already for the sake of your face to be extraordinarily gracious, and you still want me to teach him the core moves of the sect, which is inevitably too much, have you forgotten how Prajna's father died of idiocy? We are also responsible for the incident of being stupid in the first place. Wenjing: Acting as an idiot is acting as an idiot, and if it is a prajna, how can the two be compared. Another voice remembered: But if Prajna is the son of an idiot, if you have a father, you must have a son, and now Prajna's mother Bai Su is still guarding the grave of the fool on that Wangtianpo, isn't this painful lesson enough?
It was the first time for Praruo to hear the news of his parents, he was a little excited, and accidentally touched the door of Wenjing Cave Mansion, and the two people inside realized that someone was eavesdropping outside the door, Wenjing hurriedly said, who was eavesdropping outside the door, but at this time Praruo had already run away, Wenjing noticed that it was Praruo, sighed, and said in the direction of Praruo, Praruo still knows after all, maybe this is fate.
Praruo heard the news of his parents here, and silently wrote down the place of Wangtianpo in his heart, and Pranya had secretly made up his mind at this time, and Prajna planned to find his parents.
After returning to the cave, he began to discuss how he could go down the mountain to find his parents, and he only heard one Mochizuki Slope, and nothing else was heard, Mochizuki Slope is obviously a place, but the world is so big, even if he goes down the mountain, he doesn't know where it is, so when will he find it. And listening to them, his father is dead, only his mother is still in the world, and he is not alone, so why did his mother send him to Dajue Monastery and not raise him herself?
But before this, Prajna had never gone down the mountain, and I heard other people in the sect say that the earthly world is a big dye vat, and you can be dyed colorful inadvertently, and there are many bad people in the world, but this can't resist the confidence of Prajna to find his mother, Prajna packed up that night and prepared to find his mother overnight, because no one paid attention at night, and he could also take the opportunity to sneak away.
When the other disciples of Prajna in the Dajue Temple were sleeping, they secretly carried their burdens and left the Dajue Temple. Wait until early the next morning, Wen Jing came to the door of Prajna, the purpose of Wen Jing's trip is to tell Prajna a good news, yesterday Wen Jing and the Bodhisattva talked for a long time, after Prajna was found outside the door, Wen Jing still did not give up, and was still fighting for the opportunity to become a core disciple of Prajna, and finally this Bodhisattva opened his mouth, willing to let Prajna become a core disciple, once he became a core disciple, then there are special people to teach, unlike that kind of ordinary disciple, to listen to the teaching of the Bodhisattva teaching, but the Bodhisattva does not necessarily have time。
Wen Jing won the rank of the core disciple for Prajna, Wen Jing woke up early in the morning this morning, and told Prarua the good news, but as soon as he came here, he didn't find the shadow of Pranya, and at first he thought that Prajna had gone out, but later saw that the room was in a mess, Wen Jing knew that Praruo had gone down the mountain, and Wen Jing recited the Buddha number.
Prajna has been walking for so long, at this time Prajna has been far away from the Dajue Temple, and saw a city, Pranya looked at the towering city gate, and said with some surprise, is this the city made by the world? It looks very good. Praruo walked into the city and began to look for people everywhere to visit the place of Yuepo, but unfortunately the people in this city did not know this place, they had been looking for a morning, Prajna was also a little tired, Praruo decided to find a place to eat something, but the world is not as good as Dajue Temple, in Dajue you are used to eating, after coming to the world, you understand the importance of money, do everything needs money to support, without money it is difficult to move an inch.
But the stomach is still hungry, Prajna silently recited the Buddha's name in his heart, hoping to endure the hunger, but the Buddha could not save the stomach from starvation! But if the Prajna is penniless, what can he take to eat? Prajna remembered that people who had gone down the mountain before said that it was very hard to be an ascetic, and that in the world it was basically to obtain food by turning into a relationship, and in Prajna's understanding, turning a relationship is begging, and at that time Prajna also laughed at that senior brother.
Now that Prajna is hungry, the method that Prajna looked down on at that time has now become a lifesaver, Prajna took out his special bowl in the temple and began to come to the steamed bun shop to turn around the fate, but the owner of the bun shop is not a good person, and he ignores the reason for the fate of Prajna. Prajna took this bowl and went to the sunrise, but no one was willing to give Prajna food, Prajna took this bowl and happened to walk through a roast chicken restaurant, Prajna smelled this taste, it was simply delicious in the world! I have never smelled such a good smell in the original temple, I have also heard the senior brothers say, we monks do not eat these, these are called meat dishes, we monks only eat vegetarian dishes, if you eat it must be delicious, Prajna's saliva has come out, where to care about meat and vegetables.
(Bowl: The four divisions of the ninth volume of the bowl are mentioned in the clouds: "There are six kinds of bowls: iron bowls, suma bowls, ugala bowls, yuga credit bowls, black bowls, and red bowls.") There are two kinds of big ones, iron bowls and clay bowls. In the fifty-second volume of the book, it is forbidden to use bowls made of wood, stone, gold, silver, glass, treasure, and miscellaneous treasures, and to keep them from the home and the outside world. Book 26 of the Five Divisions says that if you use gold, silver, seven treasures, teeth, copper, stone, or wood, you will be guilty of turgilo, if you use a wooden bowl, you will be guilty of stealing a ranza, and if you use a bronze bowl as in the outer way, you will be guilty of turgilo. Only iron bowls, tile bowls, and suma bowls are permitted.
2. The color of the bowl should be smoked black or red, that is, the black bowl and red bowl mentioned in the "Four Divisions".
3. The precepts stipulate that a bhikshu should not store more than one bowl, and that the bowl should be washed with beans to remove dirt and grease as if it were protecting one's own eyes.
A bowl is a small pottery utensil shaped like a basin and used to hold rice, vegetables, tea, etc. Generally, it refers to the food utensils used by monks, including clay bowls, iron bowls, wooden bowls, etc. One bowl is just enough for a monk to eat, and monks are only allowed to carry three clothes and one bowl, and this bowl is used for begging for food. Nowadays, Southern Buddhist monks in Thailand and other countries still carry bowls along the door in the early morning of every day. )
The first great precept of Buddhism is to kill, and all sentient beings in the world have life, and not killing not only reflects the cause and effect of the cause and effect factors, but also reflects the monks' respect for life. Although eating meat is not killing, it will help others to kill, similar to indirect killing. Just like today's boycott of ivory products in public service propaganda, there is no killing without buying and selling. In the same way, not eating meat will reduce the number of people you and others killing. Drinking alcohol is also a meaning, drinking itself is nothing, the main thing is that after drinking, it is easy to make people disordered, and once people are disordered, they will be easy to do evil with courage, to kill, rape, scold, etc., which is a helping cause.
Buddhism abstains from alcohol and meat, in fact, it should also be advocated for us laity. Nowadays, many crimes are committed because of drinking a little alcohol, so that people use their guts, some people lose their minds after anesthesia and commit crimes, some people say that they can control it, in fact, if there is a real stimulus in the wine field, you can't control it at all, this is for sure. Regarding reducing the consumption of meat, meat was originally used to supplement the body's nutritional energy, but once it is excessive, it is easy to cause various diseases in the human body, taking a step back, human beings sitting at the top of the food chain have to accumulate some virtue for themselves, and show mercy under their mouths; further, human beings kill in order to satisfy their appetites, and the formation of a trend in society will inevitably affect the ecological balance, and will eventually be retaliated by nature.
In our lives, monks are not allowed to eat meat, and this has long been the consensus of everyone. I don't know if you have understood, Buddhism is divided into Mahayana Buddhism and Hinayana Buddhism, Mahayana Buddhism is mainly in China, Mongolia, Japan and South Korea, and Theravada Buddhism includes Sri Lanka, Thailand, Myanmar and other places. Among these places, only monks in China are not allowed to eat meat, and there are no regulations in other countries and places that say that monks cannot eat meat, and monks in Thailand can eat meat!
Originally, Buddhism did not advocate that monks must be vegetarians, but only stipulated that they could not kill. According to historical records, Buddhist monks in the Northern and Southern Dynasties generally ate meat, but when Emperor Wu of Liang changed this habit, he also listed two reasons why monks could not eat meat.
The first reason is that monks should have a compassionate heart, and Buddhism is divided into sentient and ruthless, plants are ruthless, and animals are emotional, so in the end vegetarian food can only be encouraged.
The second reason is a bit strange, it is said that it is because monks are prone to indigestion when they eat meat, because monks mainly meditate when they practice, and if they eat meat, they are prone to poor qi, which is not conducive to their own practice, and if they eat vegetarian food, this situation does not appear.
