The reason why it is called Wuguantang is because when fasting, the monks should not only be quiet, but also concentrate their thoughts on the "five views": first, count the amount of merit and measure the other place; second, pay for one's own virtues, and all the offerings should be made; third, prevent the heart from departing, and greed is the sect; fourth, the right medicine is to cure the form and dryness; and fifth, for the sake of enlightenment, one should receive this food.

Translated into this meaning, monks should think when fasting: It is not easy for the donor to provide this bowl of fasting rice, have I seriously practiced today? I should regard these meals as medicine to cure hunger and thirst, and I should not covet the good fortune of eating "medicine", as long as I can achieve the goal of maintaining life and completing the practice.

Therefore, the hall is also called the Five Views Hall.

There are rules for fasting in Buddhism, and there must be a convening order for the temple to eat, and the fish and cloud boards hanging outside the Wuguan Hall will be knocked.

The so-called cloud plate is an iron plate in the shape of a cloud cast with iron, which is used for summoning.

The cloud plate used in Buddhism is mostly made of copper and iron, with a diameter of about three feet, and the shape is like a cloud pattern, so it is called a cloud plate.
