In the year of Qianlong Gengshen in the Qing Dynasty, the senior monk of the Sansheng Temple in Shudu came to the Fawang Temple to preside over the Linji legal system. After paying homage, Master Guoshan introduced to everyone: "Maitreya Bodhisattva, transliterated as Cishi, one of the eight great bodhisattvas of Buddhism, is the successor of Shakyamuni Buddha. It is regarded as the originator of the Enlightenment School and is deeply respected by the Chinese Buddhist master Xuanzang. ”

"I pray that I can ascend to Maitreya with everyone and serve Maitreya. I vow that when Maitreya Buddha is born, I am willing to follow him down to 'do Buddha deeds' and pursue the supreme Bodhi and the highest wisdom. ”

This is Master Xuanzang's last words, and it is also his last wish. ”

Guoshan said: "This place used to be dedicated to Guan Yu, so it was called 'Guan Temple', and it was rebuilt in the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty. Now it is enshrined the three saints of the West, namely Amitabha, Guanyin Bodhisattva, and the Great Trend Bodhisattva. ”

The three bodhisattvas are solemn and full of compassion, but Li Junge is concerned with the architectural form.

After everyone finished saluting, Li Junge said to Master Guoshan: "This is also an example of the coexistence of the three religions, right?"

Master Guoshan said: "Hahaha, the three sects of Confucianism and Taoism, although they have their own doors, they are connected by blood. Confucianism advocates forgiveness and love for others, Buddhism advocates compassion and kindness, and Taoism advocates quiet and non-action, all of which focus on spiritual pursuits and ignore material enjoyment. ”

Li Junge nodded and said, "The saints of the three sects were born almost at the same time, and they were all in harmony, and the stars were in the sky. It can be regarded as a miracle in the history of mankind. ”
