0399 Calculations

After measuring all sides of this piece of wood that are completely consistent and up to standard, Xu Yi processed all the pine wood according to the previous operation process. After adjusting it with another saw blade, Xu Yi processed several oaks into wooden squares with a side length of about 17 centimeters.

Looking at the timber stacked neatly on the edge of the bandsaw machine, Xu Yi stopped and admired it with satisfaction for a while, and then prepared to process the wood into wood of the right size.

The processing of a few oaks is relatively simple, Xu Yi only needs to draw a cross shape in the center of them and then cut them open.

Although there is no way to test the pressure resistance of the wood produced in the space, oak is far better than pine in terms of pressure resistance and wear resistance under external conditions.

If it weren't for the fact that there were so few oaks, Xu Yi wouldn't mind using oak for all the materials to complete the installation of the band saw. However, there is not enough timber now, so Xu Yi can only settle for the next best thing, using the railway to lay sleepers on the roadbed.

Xu Yi plans to lay a layer of wooden planks on the ground first, and then lay these oak woods on top of the planks as sleepers. Even so, it is much stronger and more durable than the previous planks, and because of the larger area underneath, the overall pressure on the ground is even more different than before.

However, it is inevitable that wood chips or other debris will accumulate in the middle of these sleepers, and Xu Yi plans to lay a layer of planks on them accordingly, so as to completely avoid this problem.

However, in this case, there will inevitably be a problem. These planks can only be installed horizontally, otherwise they will follow the direction of the track. This inevitably makes the pressure of the planks under the rails much higher than the rest of the floor. Over time, it is inevitable that these planks will be damaged, and it will be too troublesome to repair them. In order to avoid this situation, these planks have to be installed horizontally, and the components of the rails are spread out as much as possible, so it is inevitable that some cross braces will be added in the middle of these sleepers to support these boards.

Therefore, Xu Yi also had to use pine wood to process some wood squares that were at least exactly the same height as those oaks.

After doing the calculations a few times to determine how you need to process the wood, you get busy processing the wood.

The timber squares of those oaks were naturally neatly processed by Xu Yi into woods with completely consistent specifications.

Those red pines. Xu Yi first picked out four and sawed them in the same way as the oak wood, ensuring that each side of the processed wood was more than 12 centimeters long, and these woods were used to process the flat frame.

The rest of the wood processing method has to be changed a little more.

Xu Yi is going to lay a 14-meter-long and 5-meter-wide floor, of course, in this case, laying boards on both sides, so that a total area of at least 140 square meters of boards is required.

With the narrow planks processed during the previous peeling and laminated timber of the same thickness as the base, Xu Yi is also ready to process these woods into three-centimeter planks.

Approaching 25 centimeters, if the impact of the sawing road is removed, it seems that eight three-centimeter-thick boards can be processed. However, it is necessary to consider the sawing path and subsequent processing to leave enough machining allowance during the formal processing, in fact, this can only process up to seven one-inch thick boards.

That's already good, each board can be processed out of almost seven square meters of area, if only they are used to assemble. That undoubtedly means that I need to process more than 20 boards into plates. However, with the addition of more than a dozen laminated timbers and more than 100 thin wood strips, Xu Yi finally calculated that he only needed to process twelve or thirteen pine squares at most. However, in order to avoid some mistakes and omissions during installation, the board will not be enough at that time, so Xu Yi is ready to simply process fifteen boards.

The rest is naturally the number of pine squares used to nail the roof, which must first determine the number of oak squares you need.

Xu Yi walked to the band saw machine and counted the number of steel sheets arranged in pairs above, plus one more sleeper under each channel steel, plus both sides, and finally calculated the result: he only needs twenty-five sleepers to be enough.

The width of twenty-five sleepers after processing is exactly two meters, so that each row of keels only needs to be calculated according to the length of twelve meters, so that a wooden square is untied according to the nine-square grid, so that it can meet the needs of the three rows of keels, enough to lay a distance of 1.5 meters, and then remove the distance between the left and right sides near the outer edge close to 0.5 meters, in fact, as long as they solve the almost as long as the three are cracked, they will never be used, so that they can also save eleven pine squares, which can be used for other purposes。

As for the wooden planks that were removed from the tent, Xu Yi didn't plan to lay them back for the time being, and found that the ground would completely harden the ground after it was tamped, and Xu Yi became more and more confident in building the wooden house. I'm going to just wait until it's empty, and then go and look up some information and design and build a few wooden houses, so that I can get rid of the two black rumbling tents.

After all the calculations were completed, Xu Yi started processing, although he was a little tired and a little sleepy, but he still insisted on processing all the wood, and then stopped and went directly to the tent to sleep.

After getting up, Xu Yi ate and continued to be busy.

The surface of these processed planks and wood squares is relatively rough, and there are certain differences in the specifications, and they have to be processed again before they can be officially assembled. If it had been placed in the past, Xu Yi would definitely have to solve these problems manually, so I don't know how much time it would have took. However, since organic qì can be used now, Xu Yi does not have to force himself to do this, and for this kind of regular material, his own technology is definitely not as accurate as machine qì processing.

Xu Yi adjusted the parameters of the planer and put those planks and wood squares into it for processing. However, it has to be said that no matter how advanced these equipment is, it is still small equipment, and it took Xu Yi more than ten hours to complete the processing of these planks and wooden squares.

Until all the wood has been processed, Xu Yi stopped to prepare for the official start of assembly.

Xu Yi first took the pieces of wood with a side length of 12 centimeters, Xu Yi directly put them on the engraving machine, and directly processed a groove with a depth and width of one centimeter two centimeters on one of the surfaces close to the adjacent side. This groove is reserved for the installation of the upper layer of the panel, as long as the side of the plate directly with a saw to process the corresponding tenon, can be inserted in this groove, so that as long as the panel is installed to ensure that they are completely tightly closed, will not be misplaced.

After all the processing was completed, Xu Yi took a ruler to measure it, and then connected the timbers with serrated tenons accordingly to make a wooden frame with an inner diameter of 14 meters by 4.9 meters, which is the border of the future horizon.

After measuring separately and determining that both the upper and lower surfaces are flat and the length of each side and the four corners are absolutely at right angles, Xu Yi drilled a few holes with a drill on the side of the mortise and tenon joints of each joint, which can be directly nailed into the bamboo sticks when they are all completed to ensure that they will not be displaced, and the connection is also tighter.

Although there is certainly no corresponding dovetail tenon tightly combined, Xu Yi considers that these woods are big enough to definitely meet his own needs, and he doesn't need to make it so strong, if there are really any problems in use, he can re-trim them in the future, and then replace them with stronger and more wear-resistant materials to consider this problem.

Then, Xu Yi took a pencil and marked the various sides of these wooden frames and their respective sequences, and then dismantled them again.

After all, this thing is too big, even if you don't have to move two logs before processing, there is no problem in moving two pieces by yourself, but even if there is only one log material to make such a wooden frame, you will definitely not be able to move it yourself. Subsequent processing has to use engraving machines and machine tools, even if they have so much strength, this machine tool is not a metalworking machine tool, but I am afraid that such a heavy material can be pressed on the machine directly to crush the panel of the machine.

Xu Yi directly moved two unprocessed wooden squares and put them at both ends of the track, and then disassembled the band saw again, and moved all the parts except the base to a place that was out of the way.

Xu Yi didn't plan to keep those wooden veneers at all, after all, it was too easy for him to obtain this wood, and if he kept these wooden veneers, it would definitely not be of great use, but Xu Yi didn't have time to deal with them for the time being, so he could only move them all aside. In the same way, all the remaining pieces of wood were removed, and things such as sawdust and wood chips on the ground were used for other purposes, so Xu Yi packed them in bags and piled them aside.

After the work area was cleaned up, Xu Yi also moved the sports car off the track as usual.

He took a bolt and put it on top of the bamboo poles, and hammered the bamboo poles that held the tracks into the board below, and removed the tracks.

Xu Yi vigorously moved one of the plugs of the track, directly lifting the track more than a foot high, and then stuffed the piece of wood prepared before under the track. Carefully lowering the track and letting it rest on top of the wooden square, Xu Yi went to the other end of the track, and also put the wooden square under the track, making the entire track completely suspended.

After processing so much wood, several wooden boards were glued with a lot of sawdust and fine broken bark, and Xu Yi took a broom to clean it up. Until the top of the board was completely cleaned, after that, Xu Yi directly lifted the board that was originally pressed under the track and could not be lifted from the ground. Sure enough, although a shallow gravure had been pressed out of the ground.

The area of the board below is only about two square meters, and it has to bear a part of the track pressure, which is not enough to alleviate the vibration caused by the high-speed operation of the machine.

Presumably, if you continue to process for a few more days, the ground will have to be pressed down a lot by the machine, and you will have to deflect and other conditions. (To be continued......)
