Chapter 218: Christmas Party

The brief funeral ended in solemnity, and by the end, only the house-elf Kreacher was still twitching loudly, and Sirius had largely recovered.

In his opinion, this is already the best result.

The news of Regulus' death had been established thirteen years earlier, and the funeral was a belated ceremony.

All his last wishes were fulfilled and his soul could rest in peace.

Sirius was no longer under the impression that Regulus was a cowardly and evil Death Eater, no longer a fool who knew nothing and was finally killed by the family's pure-blood philosophy. His younger brother was a worthy hero, and he was proud of Regulus.

The funeral was shabby, but everything was perfect.

In Aven's opinion, the same is true, the only regret is that they did not get the locket that Regulus used to replace Voldemort's Horcruxes, and the note that was placed inside to record his last words.

He still remembered the above words, which should have been: To the Dark Lord, I was dead long ago before you read this, but I want you to know that I discovered your secret. I have stolen the real Horcrux and intend to destroy it as soon as possible. I'm willing to risk my death, and that is to hope that you will be killed when you meet an opponent. R.A.B.

This note addressed to Voldemort fully reflects Regulus's bravery and the shattered dreams of his youth.

You know, Regulus used to be Voldemort's wildest admirer.

It can also be seen from the words on this font that, unlike all other wizards who were determined to rebel against Voldemort, until the end of his life, he still called Voldemort the Dark Lord, which was the honorific title given to Voldemort by the Death Eaters.

From this, it can be seen that Regulus's opinion of Voldemort.

However, for the sake of his inner justice, for his own faith and persistence, Regulus finally chose to steal and destroy Voldemort's Horcruxes, and he would rather pay with his life for it.

With that in mind, Evan wanted to take a look at the note he had written.

However, Dumbledore said that the green liquid that Voldemort had placed in the stone basin had no other way to break it than to drink it.

Only when Voldemort confirms his Horcrux in the future will Regulus' last words be revealed.

It's a pity, but it's certainly exactly what Regulus had in mind before he died. In this way, the last words of Regulus's life were conveyed to Voldemort, letting him know that there were many people who rebelled against him in obscurity, even among the Death Eaters.

Thinking of this dramatic scene, Evan longed to see Voldemort's expression with his own eyes.

He may be full of anger, but he shouldn't be surprised. After all, Voldemort never trusted anyone but himself, and the Death Eaters who thought they were relied on were just ridiculous flags.

As it darkens, Dumbledore returns to the Ministry of Magic after Regulus' funeral, where he will attend the Wizengamot trial of Peter Pettigrew.

Peter's trial has reached a critical stage, and the impact of this case is enormous, and countless people are waiting for the final outcome.

Even at Christmas, the Wizengamot doesn't have time to rest.

After Dumbledore left, Lupin, Sirius, Aven, Harry, and Hermione did not return to 12 Grimmauld Place, but went to the Leaky Cauldron for a Christmas party as originally planned.

Kreacher was also brought by them, though Sirius thought he should be left alone at home, as he had done before. But everyone else insisted that it might be good for him to let Kreacher live at Hogwarts and let him have more contact with other house-elves.

After the apparition, Evan and the others arrive at the Cauldron Bar.

Evan looked in disbelief at the dilapidated little bar in front of him, which had swept away the dark and dirty style of the past, and the whole hall was dressed like a dream, with green Christmas trees, mistletoe, sparkling golden stars, and other Christmas costumes.

The rich smell of food comes from inside the kitchen, and Tom, the owner of the bar, stands behind the bar in a funny red Christmas costume, cracking his mouth and smiling ugly, welcoming every guest who comes to the party.

While the Christmas costumes here aren't as spectacular as Hogwarts, there's a lot more festive about them.

The bar was full of cheerful wizards dressed up, including many of Evan and his classmates at Hogwarts.

People sat in the bar with wine glasses in hand, gathered together and talked happily, and from time to time there was a burst of joyful laughter.

In the middle of the bar is a wrecklessly dressed band playing a light-hearted Christmas tune, occasionally using magic to conjure up a pair of colorful bubbles and golden fireworks, and many young people dancing merrily around the band.

Evan rubbed his eyes, it was incredible. He couldn't have imagined that a few hours ago, they had been fighting thousands of corpses in a strange and eerie cave, and now they were caught in a sea of festivals.

This is Christmas, a Christmas party in the truest sense of the word.

When they entered, the atmosphere inside the bar reached a climax.

Sirius and Harry were almost instantly recognized, and the inside of the Leaky Cauldron fell silent, then erupted in applause that almost topped the roof. They all crowded over, shook hands with the two of them over and over again, and sent their sincerest holiday greetings.

Compared to Harry, who has the name of the savior, Evan is much less famous here, and he is happy to be idle, and Hermione and Hermione go to the bar to grab a drink by themselves.

Not far away, Lupin went to the bar owner and booked a room for a few of them to stay here tonight.

Evan lazily leaned back on the bar, looking at Sirius and Harry, who couldn't get out of his body for a while, he thought for a moment, took Hermione's little hand, and prepared to go to Diagon Alley to have a look.

He'd just heard Lupin say that it's not just the Leaky Cauldron Bar, there's a celebration all over Diagon Alley tonight, and that's what it's been like in previous years, people will celebrate until the wee hours of the morning.

Evan and Hermione walked across the bar to a small, walled patio outside.

It was completely dark, and the cheerful and festive atmosphere of the bar was cut off by the door, and only faint sounds could be heard.

The two of them huddled together in a small patio, close together.

Feeling Evan's closeness, Hermione's heart beat faster and faster, and her face couldn't help but turn red.

Hermione's spirit, which had been tense in the cavern when she faced those yin corpses, was now suddenly relaxed.

She only felt that her brain was blank, and out of trust, she was so stupidly walked out by Ai Wen's hand, completely unaware of what he wanted to do, just a burst of sweet joy from the depths of her heart, a hint of nervousness, and a strange feeling mixed in with it that couldn't be explained.

Is this a date?!(To be continued.) )
