Chapter 774 Plant Construction Progress

The four seasons of Lingnan are like spring (it seems that it is not wrong to say that the four seasons are like summer), but it is not nonsense.

It's January 15, 2008, but the construction site of Guanghui Automobile is still in full swing, which if it is placed in the northeast, it will have been covered by heavy snow long ago, and it can only wait for the next year's construction.

Since the acquisition of Jaguar Land Rover by Guanghui Automobile was basically carried out with Guanghui Investment as the main body of negotiation, Pi Wei was able to return to Wuyang to continue to follow up the construction of the factory.

"Mr. Jiang, let's take a look at the floor plan of this factory first, and then we'll visit the engine factory and R&D building later," said Pi Wei, pointing to the model in front of him.

After tossing for a year, Jaguar Land Rover was finally taken down, and the rest was nothing more than procedures and some handover work, which did not need Jiang Hui to deal with it personally, so at this time Jiang Hui came to Wuyang to see how the factory and R&D center of Guanghui Automobile's own brand were built.

According to Jiang Hui's plan, the first SUV model will be launched early next year at the latest, so as to catch up with the blowout of the Tianchao automobile market!

Throughout 2009 and 2010, it can be said that the automotive industry is the most moist time, as long as it is a car, it seems that it sells well, especially SUV models, there is nothing bad to sell.

Jiang Hui really doesn't want to miss this wave of benefits!

"Okay, I'll leave it to you today," Jiang Hui said.

The entire Guanghui Automobile Industrial Park covers an area of more than 5,000 acres, and if some parts and components enterprises supporting the future are also counted, the area will be larger.

However, fortunately, Wuyang already has a number of car manufacturers such as Honda, Toyota and Nissan, and over the years, a relatively mature supply system has been formed, and basically most of the parts can be found nearby.

This saves a lot of trouble for Guanghui Automobile.

After more than 100 years of development, the automobile industry has formed a very clear division of labor. The OEM is responsible for designing the model and producing some core components, and then most of the other parts are purchased from professional parts companies and assembled in the factory.

For example, Bosch, Denso, Magna and other parts giants, the strength is actually not worse than that of vehicle companies, if you look at the annual turnover, it is higher than some small OEMs.

Even, even people's profit margins are higher than the whole vehicle, and the salary of employees is higher than that of the vehicle company.

However, the relationship between OEMs and component suppliers is also complex, and the relationship between different OEMs and suppliers is also different.

Generally speaking, the relationship between European and American OEMs and suppliers is more of a one-time partnership, and this one-time partnership does not mean that this model will cooperate with you and will not cooperate in the future.

Rather, the OEM will choose one or two suppliers of the same kind to cooperate, and then choose the best manufacturer according to the cost competitiveness of the next model, without thinking too much about the past cooperation.

But relatively speaking, this is not the case with Japan and South Korea.

Generally speaking, the supply system of Europe and the United States is relatively easy to enter, but it is likely to be only a day trip, and it is possible that competitors will be eliminated by making a model.

In the case of Japan and South Korea, it is relatively difficult to enter the supply system of others, but once you enter, the average person will not kick you out, but will continue to give you some orders, of course, the premise is that you have to be cost competitive.

It's just that the European and American systems are more likely to cooperate with suppliers based on the laws of the market economy, while the Japanese and Korean systems will also take into account various factors such as cooperation and common development on this basis.

In fact, it is also related to the characteristics of their respective suppliers.

The suppliers of European and American OEMs are basically based on European and American OEMs, and there is generally no shareholding relationship between these suppliers and OEMs, and they generally do not have labels such as I am a general system, he is a Volkswagen department, etc.

However, Japan and South Korea are different, the main parts companies and OEMs are basically related to the shares, generally the OEMs will hold a certain proportion of the supplier's shares, relatively speaking, the suppliers will often be labeled as Toyota manufacturers, that is the label of Nissan manufacturers.

It's really hard to say who is superior and who is inferior.

"Mr. Jiang, located in the lower left corner of our park is our engine factory, which is the earliest we completed, the current equipment installation has been basically completed, part of the production line has begun to debug, and it is expected that the first prototype will come back after the year", Pi Wei began to introduce the factory situation of Guanghui Automobile.

Due to the large enough land acquired at one time, Guanghui Automobile has built an engine factory, a research and development plant, and a stamping, welding, painting, and assembly workshop for automobiles, which also improves everyone's work efficiency.

For example, designers sometimes need to meet with workshop, purchasing, sales and other personnel to integrate some information, and they need to go to the site often when trying to make a car.

If the R&D center, production plant and management department are not in the same area, the cost of time wasted in the middle is actually very high!

"According to our plan, we will first build a production line of 300,000 engines, and by next year we will have a capacity of 500,000. At present, the recruitment of personnel is also in full swing, for which we have built a cultural and sports center next to the engine factory, the first and second floors are sports venues, if necessary, it can be converted into a lobby, and the third floor and above are various training rooms", Pi Wei continued.

"After the engine rolls off the assembly line, will it be moved directly to the assembly hall with the transmission chain, or will it need to be transported by a trolley?" Jiang Hui asked.

"Our engine factory is next to the vehicle inspection department, and then next to the assembly workshop, we have involved the transmission channel in advance, and the engine can be directly transmitted to the final assembly after it is off the assembly line. The engine factory, the vehicle inspection department, the final assembly workshop, the painting workshop, the welding workshop, and the stamping workshop can basically be strung together in a line according to the front and back of the process to ensure that our production layout is in the most reasonable state", Pi Wei kept saying while pointing to the model.

"Well, this layout must be planned, and it is unrealistic to change it after the equipment enters the site", although Jiang Hui is not proficient in automobile production, he used to intern in an automobile factory when he was an intern in college, and he is still relatively clear about the general basic knowledge.

The automotive industry is a capital- and technology-intensive enterprise, and if you rush into it without a full understanding, it is easy to hit your head and break your blood, and the tuition fee will be expensive!
