Day 113, A New Plan (Part I)
The rain stopped yesterday, and I thought it would be sunny today. Pen ~ fun ~ pavilion www.biquge.info
It seems that I was thinking too much, and I was woken up again by the crackling sound of the rainstorm at midnight last night. It was only for a while, but when I woke up this morning, the rain had become heavier again. The black clouds in the sky were still a large patch of black oppression.
Looking at it like this, it is still impossible to clear up in two or three days. This annoyed me and Mitakán. It's just torture, you can't get out, you can't do things.
What's even more unfortunate is that the bucket of water stored in the tree house is about to bottom out, and the last time we left, the water in it was still half of it, and our consumption in the past two days is still very large.
Especially in the first two days, Midakang and I drank a lot of water, and we used this water to boil and help him clean his wounds. Now it's not just me and Midacom who need water in the treehouse, but Hei and Lightning.
On rainy days, Xiao Hei is still the same as before, lazily lying at the door, lightning is completely opposite to it, lightning is more active, although it is still raining outside, but can not bear the lonely lightning, or will rush out from time to time to run a circle. So the treehouse was wet with it.
I didn't rebuke the lightning though, I didn't expect that much from it, it didn't bite my pillow and futon all the way, and I'm very satisfied. After all, for honey badgers, nature is so active, and there is no way to change this.
After all, Lightning still has a lot of highlights, probably learned from Xiao Hei, so Lightning has never defecated in the treehouse, and every time he runs to the yard for convenience. Besides, it is very close to me, and is not afraid of me at all! What I didn't expect is that it will forage for food on its own, and yesterday I saw with my own eyes that it took a snake from nowhere, and happily enjoyed it in its suitcase.
It seems that it has also grown up, and it may not be long before it will be able to survive on its own, and I don't know if it will stay at that time. I'm not sure. But it was just to save it when it was brought back, even if it grew up and left, it was normal. After all, I'll get out of here sooner or later, no matter how likely I am......
Speaking of leaving, I haven't completely thought about it yet, but survival still has to go on, and I discussed it with Midacom yesterday. Now that there are only two of us left, safety must come first.
So, we decided to start speeding up the construction of our place while collecting and storing food. Next, I am going to add a perfect guarantee to this yard, that is, the brick fence!
I've said before that bricks and tiles are a little different and may require higher temperatures, which are not necessarily the same as these branches. So I had to make some charcoal.
As long as the charcoal is made, the brick firing experiment will soon be successful! I have seen the method of making charcoal in the notebook of Xiao Hei's former owner, but I have not tried it myself, so I am not sure.
There are many conditions for the burning of this charcoal, although the above description is very simple, but I can see it very clearly, not only to ensure that the raw materials for making charcoal, that is, dry branches, are burned, but also not to allow them to be sufficient, not only to maintain the circulation of the air, but also to adjust the direction of air circulation at any time. to ensure that all the branch materials can be burned.
This is the difficulty, if you are an experienced person, then he must know very well where the nodes of each month are, and he must know how to make the charcoal that these branches turn into more perfect, which will take a lot of time to experiment.
I was able to make the tile embryo at one time, but I was just lucky. However, I still hope that this charcoal burning will be as lucky as last time. After all, we still have a lot to do and don't have so much time to waste. We're going to have to figure out how to get out of here as soon as possible.
We have also reached a consensus on the idea of making a boat, a sailboat is a must, and the selection of sails is more troublesome, and we don't have any suitable materials now, except for the fast tarp, but the tarp is too small to make a whole sail at all, it can only be used as a part.
So the collection of materials is also a must, and of course, it would be better if a replacement for the sail could be found. But it's not an easy thing to do.
For the situation that there is not much water storage, I also told Midakang, after hearing the news, he took action, and his idea is also very good, that is, to receive the rainwater first, simply filter it with cotton clothes, and then precipitate, and then use it.
Indeed, according to my original idea, it is almost the same, that is, it is directly connected to the rainwater, and it can be boiled and drunk after precipitation, and now the rainstorm is indeed very large, and it is not very difficult to want or rain, after all, there is no great wind now.
After pouring the last bit of water from the bucket into the pot, I moved the bucket out. I tied another piece of clothing to the mouth of the bucket with vines, and of course, the clothes were a little dented in the middle of the bucket, otherwise there would be no way to accumulate water.
The advantage of this is that it can avoid some leaves, branches and other relatively large impurities falling from the big tree, so as to avoid re-fishing......
The torrential rain lasted so long that even if the rain stopped, it is estimated that the river flowing out of the mountain would be muddy within three days. So this rain is still very important to us.
……
There is another thing, which is also more troublesome, although the guy Midakang did not continue to have a fever, the wound on the sole of his foot still did not develop in a better direction. Yesterday I thought he was going to be fine, because he said it didn't hurt anymore.
But unexpectedly, today he found that the wound began to leak pus, and there were a lot of them, indicating that the wound was still inflamed. This is still very serious, and once the wound worsens, it can still be life-threatening.
But there was no better way for us now, and all he could think of was plant ash. Just now, I bandaged him with rags. Of course, although these rags have not been sterilized, they are all washed and exposed to the sun.
Now the scabs of his wound are still soft, because pus still flows out from time to time, but I can't do anything else! Fortunately, he said that the pain is not bad, but the soles of his feet have been feeling hot......
Hopefully, by the day the rain stops, the wound on his foot will at least scab over. You must know that the wounds on his hands are now scabbed.
In addition, when I passed by the vegetable patch yesterday, I also saw that the small peppers have grown, although the last storm and rain, but most of them are alive and well, only a few peppers were blown to some tippulation, not to mention the potato seedlings, almost none of them have problems.
And that's what I've been most happy about these days......
