Chapter 47: The Dementors Are Here Again
Phoenix still underestimated everyone's enthusiasm for Quidditch, which was not a little rain. The whole school poured out to watch the game as they usually did, running across the lawn to the Quidditch pitch, their heads bowed against the wind. Because on the way their umbrellas were blown away from their hands by the wind.
Phoenix had to cast spells on the binoculars to see what was going on on the field.
The wind was blowing so hard that they staggered as they walked to the pitch. In the rumbling thunder, the audience could not hear them even if they cheered for them. The Hufflepuffs came from across the court, wearing canary yellow robes. The captains of both sides stepped forward to shake hands, and Diggory smiled at Wood, who now looked like he had trismus, and he just nodded.
Mrs. Hodge put the whistle to her mouth, blew it hard, let out a sharp whistle, and the game began.
The players roamed across the pitch, passing blurred and yellow figures, and in the windy wind, not many people could hear the comments. The viewer hides beneath a sea of cloaks and windswept umbrellas.
It can be seen that it is getting harder and harder to keep the broomstick in a straight line. The sky was getting darker and darker, as if the night had decided to come early. Now everyone is drenched, and the rain is so dense.
Mrs. Hooch's whistle was accompanied by the first lightning blowing. Phoenix vaguely heard someone say that the Gryffindor team called a timeout. I guess Harry couldn't see anything with his eyes, if he didn't know the water and moisture charm.
They huddled under a large umbrella on the edge of the court. Harry took off his glasses and hurriedly wiped them on his robe.
"What's the score?"
"We're fifty points ahead," said Wood, "but, unless we get the Golden Snitch soon, we're going to be late into the night." โ
"I can't help it with my glasses. Harry said ruefully, waving his glasses.
Just then, Hermione appeared next to Harry. She had come with a cloak on, and she was smiling. "I've got an idea, Harry, give me your glasses, quick!"
He handed her the glasses, and the whole team watched in amazement, and Hermione tapped Harry's glasses with her wand and said, "Waterproof and moisture-proof!"
"Alright!" She said, returning the glasses to Harry, "The water won't get in the way of your glasses!"
The game starts from scratch, with the Seekers of both teams flying in opposite directions. There was another thunderclap, followed by fork lightning. It's getting more and more dangerous.
Everyone was still cheering loudly for the team and there was not the slightest complaint about the bad weather.
Diggory slammed down on the pitch in succession, and the crowd noticed it, and the atmosphere was pushed to a climax. Harry seemed to see the time a little late, and Wood yelled at him.
It's time to decide the winner
Something strange happened. There was a timid silence in the surrounding stepped stands, and although the wind was still as strong as ever, it forgot to roar, as if someone had turned it off.
At least a hundred Dementors flew over the field, and the shrill screams even drowned out the sound of the rain. A red figure flew down, and someone fainted.
"Hell, why are they here again!" Phoenix took his umbrella away, "Divine Guard!"
The silver-white phoenix rushed straight into the sky. The dementors suddenly scattered.
Dumbledore ran to the pitch, swinging his wand and seemingly slowing down his fall before Harry hit the ground. No one had ever seen Dumbledore so angry, he cast a spell to put Harry on a stretcher, by this time Diggory had already caught the Golden Snitch, and seeing this, he was going to interrupt the match and want to play again.
"Oh my God, these Dementors are getting more and more out of control. Melinda shivered on the way back to school, the rest of the people didn't look good, Slytherin barely had a smile on his face, and in the end it was Gryffindor who lost, and their captain admitted that Hufflepuff had won fairly.
At the PA rally on the weekend, everyone practiced very seriously. When the Dementors rushed into the arena, they also tried to summon the Patronus, but they could only emit a few thin puffs of white mist.
Philip insisted on turning Boggart into a Dementor and blocked it with the Patronus Charm, and it took about six or seven attempts to succeed. Hermione looked extremely tired after the whole class.
"Wait a minute, Phoenix," Hermione beckoned, "I have something to tell you." Talk about it alone. โ
Melinda glanced warily at Phoenix, said nothing, and turned to close the door.
"What's the matter?"
"Harry wants to learn the Patronus Charm, you know, Gryffindor has already lost. If they show up again in the next gameโ"
"I'm afraid not, Hermione. Phoenix shook his head, "I don't have much time to teach him alone, and besides, I'm a Slytherin Seeker now, I-"
"What, I thought you weren't interested in Quidditch. Hermione was amazed.
"Oh, they kept babbling in my ear, and they almost annoyed me to death. โ
"He can go to Professor Lupin, he taught me the Patronus Charm. Phoenix finally gave him an idea.
"Listen to me, Hermione. Push off a few classes, or you really can't stand it. "They're almost at the portrait of Gryffindor.
"Well, I'll listen to you. Hermione replied in a blushing whisper.
"Good night. Phoenix kissed Hermione on the cheek and turned away. The portrait of Sir Cadogan in the back shouts, "Come to the duelโ"
On Monday, Harry was discharged from the hospital, and it looked like he wasn't in much of a problem, though he still had to endure Draco's taunts. Draco saw the Gryffindor ball game fail. I was so happy that I almost went crazy. He finally removed the bandage and energetically mimicked Harry's fall from his broomstick to celebrate that he was able to use his arms to the fullest. In later Potions lessons, Malfoy had to imitate the Dementors as he walked through the main castle many times, and Ron finally got angry and threw a big, slippery crocodile heart at him, hitting him in the face, causing Snape to deduct Gryffindor fifty points.
At the end of November, the Slytherins defeated the Ravenclaws. Flint insisted that everyone continue to ride the Light Wheel 2001, and he planned to keep the firebolt in the final as a killer feature. Draco wasn't quite used to being a chaser, but Phoenix caught the Golden Snitch too quickly, and it only took fifteen minutes.
Slytherin clamored to win the tournament after the race
It was hard to train with the team in the bitter cold of December.
Two weeks before the end of the semester, the sky suddenly cleared up and showed a dazzling opareal color, and the muddy field was covered with a shiny layer of frost one morning. Inside the castle, there is a Christmas atmosphere everywhere. Charms teacher, Professor Flitwick, has decorated his classroom with shimmering light sources that are actually real fairies with flapping wings.
Several students were chatting excitedly nearby, and the Daily Prophet announced a few days ago that the Ministry of Magic had decided to officially award Phoenix Peverell, the Order of Merlin, First Degree. The ceremony was scheduled for Christmas at Hogwarts, and was attended by many important figures in the European wizarding community, including the Minister of Magic of Spain, the Director of International Cooperation of the French Ministry of Magic, the Minister of Magic of Russia, the Headmaster Beauxbatons and student representatives, and Principal Durmstrang and student representatives.
At the same time, there was a result of the Dementor attack on the Hogwarts Express. Surprisingly, the French Ministry of Magic admitted that some Dementors who were not under the supervision of the Ministry of Magic crossed the English and French Channel, but did not notify the British Ministry of Magic in time about the matter, and there is no final decision on the aftermath of the matter.
Finally, the editor mentions that no one knows why the Dementors made it to the north without anyone noticing. In response, an unnamed Ministry of Magic official said that they did not rule out Sirius Black.
