Chapter 33: Dobby, the house-elf
Evan saw Harry fall in the mud, splashing everywhere.
The rain poured down on Harry's face, and his arm dangled in the air at a very strange angle. Evan hurried towards the center of the field, he couldn't watch Harry get his bones removed by Lockhart.
By the time he made his way through the crowd, Lockhart was already standing in front of Harry.
"Don't worry, I'll leave it all to me, boys!" he said in a reassuring tone, "it's just a simple spell, I've used it countless times. ”
He said as he rolled up the sleeves of his emerald green garment.
"No, don't!" said Harry weakly.
But it didn't work, Lockhart was already spinning his wand. A second later, he aimed his wand at Harry's arm.
It was too late to stop him, so Evan had to take out his wand and aim it at Harry as well.
"Armor!" he shouted.
In the next second, a red light flew out from the tip of the staff, and at the same time that Lockhart's pale blue spell hit Haring, his spell also arrived.
Maybe it's because the training has worked during this time, maybe it's because Lockhart's magic level is too low. Anyway, everyone saw Lockhart's spell bounce back.
The pale blue arc light streaked through the air in a beautiful trajectory, hitting Percy standing beside Lockhart with unmistakable accuracy.
Percy fainted, and the people around him gasped.
They saw Percy's left arm, which had been struck by the spell, instantly emptied and limply drooping like a thick, flesh-colored rubber glove.
"Oh my God, his bones are gone?!"
"Hah!" Lockhart looked equally panicked, "yes, yes, it happens sometimes, and it must have been some reaction between Aven-san's Iron Armor Charm and my Charm." But don't worry, who can carry him to Madam Pomfrey, she can give him another trim. ”
Fred and George glared at Lockhart fiercely and carried Percy to the school hospital, and Ginny followed with a pale face with tears in her eyes.
In the school hospital, it took Madam Pomfrey only a second to get Harry's bones together, but she looked unhappy when she saw Percy's arm.
"What have you done to him?! Poor boy, he has no bones in his whole arm, and I need to get them back now. ”
"I'm sorry, Percy, I didn't expect this" Evan looked frustrated.
"It was just an accident, Aven!" Percy shook her head.
Aven, Harry, Hermione, and the Weasleys were all gathered around Percy's bedside, their faces full of worry, and although Gryffindor had won the Quidditch match, no one could be happy to see Percy as he was now.
"It's all Lockhart's fault, there's something wrong with his spell. Fred said.
"He can't be blamed for this, it's Aven's Iron Armor Charm that reacts to his spell. Hermione defended Lockhart.
"Everyone knows that armor only bounces the spell back. George said.
"But"
"Why are you still protecting Lockhart, Hermione?"
Ron exclaimed, "If Harry or Percy wanted to take the bones off, they would bring it up themselves." ”
"Everyone makes mistakes. Hermione's face flushed, "Lockhart wanted to help too." ”
"He's doing him a favor, if it weren't for Aven, Harry would be lying here right now. ”
"Be quiet, boys!" Madam Pomfrey walked back with a large bottle labeled "Bone Spirit," "you should let him rest more, it's been a difficult night, and it's hard to grow bones." ”
As she spoke, she poured out a steaming glass and handed it to Percy.
Everyone watched as Percy swallowed the bone spirit in pain, coughing and spitting, and Ginny hurriedly fed him to swallow a few mouthfuls of water.
When Percy had regained his breath, Madam Pomfrey told them to leave, while the Weasleys insisted on staying with Percy a little longer.
However, Madam Pomfrey did not agree that so many people would stay here. In the end, Aven, Harry, and Hermione had to go back to the common room first.
"Don't worry, Aven!"
Harry patted Evan on the shoulder, "It's not your fault, if you weren't in Percy just now, he wouldn't have been so close to Lockhart." ”
"Harry, Professor Lockhart just wanted to help you, the problem is that crazy Bludger, someone has enchanted it!" Hermione said.
"But who is it?"
"I think I know. ”
Evan pulled them into the empty Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom next to it, explaining, "It's Dobby, the house-elf, who enchanted Bludger. ”
Evan told what he had seen, and when he was halfway through his words, a green figure suddenly appeared in front of the three of them.
In the dimly lit classroom, Dobby stared at the three of them pitifully with two big tennis ball-like eyes, and a tear rolled down his long, pointed nose.
"Dobby, what are you doing here?" said Harry, surprised.
"Harry Potter is back in school. He whispered sadly, "Dobby reminded Harry Potter several times. Ah, sir, why didn't you heed Dobby's warning, Harry Potter didn't catch the train, why didn't you go home?"
"Wait, how do you know I didn't catch the train?" asked Harry suddenly.
Dobby's lips quivered, and his appearance was suspicious.
"You did that?!" Harry said slowly, "You sealed the wall and didn't let us pass!"
"Exactly, sir. Dobby said, nodding desperately, flapping his two big ears, "Dobby hid next to him, waited for Harry Potter, and then sealed the passage, and Dobby had to iron his own hands afterwards!"
He held out his ten long, bandaged fingers to three men.
"Why are you burning your hands with an iron?" said Hermione, surprised.
"Because Dobby wants to punish himself, but Dobby doesn't care, Dobby thinks that Harry Potter is safe now, and Dobby never dreamed that Harry Potter and his friends actually went the other way to school!"
He swayed back and forth, his ugly head swinging, which made Evan doubt his intelligence.
"Dobby was so shocked to hear that Harry Potter had returned to Hogwarts, and burned his master's dinner!
"You almost got Evan and Ron and me expelled!" Harry said angrily, "You'd better disappear and strangle you while I can't hold back." ”
"Dobby doesn't care!" Dobby smiled faintly, "Dobby is used to death threats, and Dobby hears them five times a day at home. ”
"Wait, who's threatening you?" Hermione frowned.
"Dobby can't say the name of the owner. Dobby shook his head, "Dobby can't reveal the secrets of his master's house. ”
He blew his nose from the corner of the dirty pillowcase he was wearing, and he looked pitiful.
"Well, why are you wearing this, Dobby?" asked Harry, curious, looking less angry than he had been at first.
"This symbolizes the slavery status of the house elves!" Dobby tugged at his pillowcase.
"Slave?!" Hermione's brow furrowed even more.
"That's right, Dobby can only be set free if Dobby's master gives him clothes to wear. The family was very careful not to give Dobby even a pair of socks, because then Dobby would be free and leave their house forever. ”
