Chapter 45: The Secret Meeting I
Wiltshire, England, is also quite famous in the Muggle world - because of crop circles and the large number of UFO sightings. In fact, this is all the work of wizards, and drunk wizards often fly low at low altitude on broomsticks, waving their wands to flatten parts of the wheat field and draw all kinds of geometric patterns. There were too many of them to be witnessed by Muggles - so the Ministry of Magic's Reversal of Contingency team had to cast the Oblivion Charm on Muggles. But the Forgetting Charm couldn't get rid of the excitement too strong, so the hapless Muggles would think they had seen aliens - and they had been pulled onto the ship to do all sorts of horrific things.
In an alley in the Swindon district in northern Wiltshire, two men emerge from the void, separated by a few metres in a narrow moonlit alley. They stood motionless for a second, pointing their wands at each other's chests. Then, recognizing each other, they tucked their wands under their cloaks and walked briskly in the same direction.
"Any news?" asked the taller man.
"Yes, and it's good news. The other replied.
On the left side of the alley are low thorn bushes, and on the right are tall and neatly manicured hedges. The two of them strode along, long cloaks lapping against their ankles.
"I thought I was late," said the tall man, the low branches hanging above his head obscuring the moonlight from time to time, and his dull features flickering in and out, "though trivial, but not tricky—look at the way you look, you're going well."
The other nodded, a long scar on his face contorted into a smile.
They turned to the right and exited the alley into a wide road for cars. The tall hedge also turned a corner, stretching into the distance, and two imposing wrought iron gates blocked the way of the two. None of them stopped, but silently raised their left arms as if they were saluting, and went straight through. It was as if the black wrought iron was nothing more than smoke.
The yew hedge made the footsteps of the two sound muffled. There was a rustling sound somewhere to the right, and the tall man drew his wand again, and raised it above his companion's head, only to find that it was a white peacock walking gracefully on the top of the hedge.
"This Lucius, always so particular, peacock ......" the tall man snorted, tucking his wand back under his cloak.
At the end of the straight driveway, a very decent mansion appeared in the darkness, and the diamond-shaped glass of the ground floor windows shone brightly. In a dark garden behind a hedge. There's a fountain spewing water somewhere. The two of them creaked and stepped on the gravel road towards the main entrance, and as soon as they came to the front, no one opened the door, but the door opened automatically inward.
The foyer was large, dimly lit, and luxuriously furnished, with a rich carpet covering almost the entire stone floor. As the two strode along, the pale portraits on the wall followed them. The two of them hesitated in front of a heavy wooden door that led to another room. The tall man turned the bronze handle.
The living room was already full of people, all sitting at a long, well-decorated table. The usual furniture in the room was pushed to the wall indiscriminately. A roaring fire lit the room in an ornate marble fireplace, and above the fireplace was a gilded mirror.
"Sit down. My friends, it's a pleasure to see you again after fifty years. A high-pitched, clear young voice came from directly in front of the fireplace.
Because of the dim light in the house, the two of them couldn't see the things in the house clearly for a while, and after getting used to the light in the house. Only then did they see the young man sitting in front of the fireplace.
He had a handsome, slightly pale face, but not too thin, with a little baby fat on his face. His short black hair made him look quite energetic. Although he is not very old, he already has the charisma of a calm and unhurried leader.
"I'm really happy, I thought I wouldn't have the chance to see all of you here again. The young man smiled and clapped his hands, "Let's applaud these fifty years of reunion." ”
Soon there was a round of applause in the living room.
"Alright, that's the end of the celebration. The young man retracted his smile, "Alex, have I done what I asked you to do?"
The tall man who had just come in replied, "Yes, master, everything is going very smoothly." ”
The young man frowned, "Master, I don't like this title, is it possible that the years have made such a big change in my aesthetics in the future?" ”
The people in the living room whispered.
"Okay, okay, I know what you're trying to say. The young man made a helpless expression, and he stood up, "You don't have to worry if I'm testing your loyalty, I don't have that much to spare right now. ”
"I know you have a lot of questions, and I can't answer them all, but I can tell you something—yes, I made myself a Horcrux while I was still studying at Hogwarts. ”
The young man propped his hand on the table, "Horcruxes, although they are quite famous, but there are only a handful of wizards who have actually made Horcruxes, and there are even fewer relevant records, and the language is unknown. Even back then, I didn't know if the Horcrux would work - or if there were any other side effects, but this was just one of the few things I did on the road to immortality. Of course, it seems that this little real yàn has succeeded so far. The young man waved his hand and continued.
"My soul was divided into pieces, and I, the President of the Hogwarts Boys' Council, sealed a part of myself in a Horcrux and spent fifty years in a state of confusion, until I woke up by accident half a year ago, but I found that the other me, or the future me, the one you followed, was not really dead, but I did. ”
A chill flashed in the young man's eyes: "What does this mean? There are two Tom Riddles and two Voldemorts in this world. He is still weak, not strong, and I am not restored, he needs my soul to strengthen himself, and I also want to seize his strength to restore myself. Unfortunately, he and I are both the most wanted criminals in this magical world, and it is impossible for us to operate openly outside, so I need some help from you. ”
He clapped his hands, "Although I and I used to be one, we can now be regarded as an undying enemy, and you must have figured out who to help before you came here—Lucius should have told you that it is better to help an outstanding young man with a bright future than to help an immortal wanted monster." ”
"Alex, you say?
"Yes, yes, Lord, Chairman. Alex stuttered unconsciously, and in front of this young man, he still seemed to be the shame of the cowering Slytherin. (To be continued......)
