Chapter 18: Two Books
"How the hell did you do that? It's incredible! β
"Ron, this is the twelfth time you've asked me that." Harry looked impatient, "I've said it twelve times, and I'm just doing what the textbook says." β
"But it's really unbelievable that you managed to complete such a troublesome potion and even tied with Silver." Ron muttered.
"Probably luck." Harry said as he slipped the book into his bag without leaving a trace.
Meanwhile, in the Ravenclaw break room, Silver and Hermione were having a conversation.
"Here you go." Silver handed the vial of Elixir to Hermione.
"Oh, I can't. This one is too precious. Hermione excused.
"It's just a fun little potion, and it doesn't do much for me." Silver said.
"Jack, it's not a funny little potion." Hermione said, "It will get you lucky all day!" β
"I've been lucky enough, Hermione." Without saying a word, Silver slipped the elixir into Hermione's pocket. "This should have been yours, but I was just tricking."
Silver handed Hermione his book "Advanced Potions," Hermione, "You see, the previous owner of this book was a great wizard, and he made many annotations on itβin fact, my Living Hell Potion was so successful thanks to this book. β
"Jack, I remember I brought you a brand new high-grade potion system!" Hermione took Silver's Advanced Potions in disbelief. The cover of this book is brand new, but when I open it, I find that it is an old book, and there are many places on it with dense fonts. "I didn't see Professor Slughorn give you old books." Hermione was so surprised that she forgot about the elixir for a moment.
"Hermione, I've got all the books you gave me." Silver blinked, "I don't want to use the gift you've given me - since second grade, actually. I've always used the old book, "Advanced Potions", which I got from Professor Slughorn the other day. β
"Why?!"
"Becauseβ" Silver's mind spun rapidly, and he couldn't say that he was too stingy to pay for it.
"Because I think the old books are also very meaningful, and there are often all kinds of wonderful annotations on them, such as this "Advanced Potions System", he puts forward quite a lot of interesting insights." Silver said slowly, pondering.
"It's crazy." Hermione flipped through the book quickly, "It's like a prank, my god. It's completely out of the ordinary......"
"That's why I said I was clever, and if I hadn't had the help of the wonderful commentary on this book, you would have been number one, and this elixir would have belonged to you." Silver said.
"And Harry. Potter, Jack. Hermione looked up at Silver amusedly, "You cheated like this, and Professor Slughorn was bleeding profusely." β
Silver waved his hand, "Hermione, Professor Slughorn's net worth is far greater than you think. These two vials of elixir were nothing to him. And Harry. Potter, I don't think he did that potion of living hell on his own. β
"And how did he do it?" Hermione was still flipping through the book "Advanced Potions", "Professor Slughorn also gave him an old book, could it be that the old book also has such annotations?" β
Perhaps the annotations in his book are more and clearer. Hermione. β
"I think I know who the previous owner of this book is." Hermione pointed to a row of small letters at the bottom of the cover.
"This book belongs to the half-blood prince."

The next few Potions classes of the week became Harry's exclusive showcase, if you ignore Silver and Hermione. Professor Slughorn praised the three of them, much to the jealousy of Malfoy and Shabini, but nothing to say about them, for every potion-making time between the three of them was perfect.
Hermione took a big interest in the half-blood prince. She had to read "Advanced Potions System" carefully every day. The half-blood prince adds notes to almost every page, and those notes are not all related to potions. Some of the instructions look like spells made up by the prince himself.
"Jack, the half-blood prince might be a woman." One Saturday night, Hermione was in the common room and had the idea that "it could be a girl." I don't think the notes are like boys' and more like girls'. β
Silver rolled her eyes, "Hermione, what woman would call herself a prince?" β
Hermione was speechless, but she quickly regained her spirits, "It's impossible to do it alone, I think it's a group, and they worked on it together and wrote it down in a book." β
"That sounds a lot more reasonable, Hermione." Silver said, "The half-blood princes, maybe it's their organization's codename. β

In Gryffindor's bedroom, Harry sat on his four-poster bed, flipping through the "Advanced Potions Making ZuΓ²" in his hand, and his heart was a little apprehensive. The book had helped him a lot in Potions class these days, but Harry would always think of that damn diary from his second year.
And this book is also quite strange, only interacting with him during Potions class, and once the class is over, it becomes like a normal book. If he didn't figure out what the book was, Harry wouldn't be able to sleep well.
He took out a bottle of fresh ink from the bedside table, inserted a quill in it and dipped it, letting a drop of ink land on the first page of the textbook. The ink shines brightly on the paper for a second, then disappears as if it has been sucked into the paper and disappears without a trace. (To be continued......)
PS: There's something to do tomorrow morning.,You have to get up early.,The chapter that's missing today will be made up tomorrow.,Three more tomorrow.γ
