Chapter 18 Cooperation
"Oh, thank you, Ms. Bathilda. Harry mumbled, quickly taking the half of the parchment, and without even looking at it, shoved it into his deerskin pocket, placing it with the half of the parchment that Scrimgeour had given him.
Harry felt that Silver's eyes never took off the half of the parchment, and he couldn't help but want to see what message Dumbledore wanted to convey to him.
"Lady Bathilda, I think Ron and I should go back, after all, Ron's parents are waiting for us to come home. Harry pulled Ron to his feet.
"Go home? we're notβ"
Harry stabbed Ron with his elbow, interrupting what he was about to say.
"I think so, you have to be careful on the way back. Bathilda said solemnly, "Godric's Valley is no more dangerous place for wizards. I suppose you must have come here secretly, go back quickly, stay away from the cemetery, and apparition as soon as you leave the village, it's still too unsafe for young wizards. β
Silver raised his eyebrows and didn't say much.
Harry dragged Ron and almost stumbled out, as if he had tripped over something along the way.
"I'm sorry, Ms. Bathilda. Ron shouted in another room, sounding like he was being dragged along by Harry.
"Very interesting for two kids. Bathilda said to Silver, "Are you good friends?"
"Apparently not, Ms. Bathilda. Silver said, "They were Dumbledore's loyal men. β
"And what about you, child?" said Bathilda, "will you serve your great-grandfather?"
"Actually, you already know the answer, so why bother to test me again?" Silver fiddled with the wand in his hand, "It doesn't matter to me whether he can be resurrected or not. β
"But you're preventing him from coming back to life right now. Bathilda shook her head, "Richard is not a man who would be kind to his offspring. β
"I'm stopping the Dark Lord, Lady Bathilda, and it's a righteous cause. "I think my great-grandfather would have understood." β
"Yay. Bathilda clapped her palms, "You have the same shamelessness as your great-grandfather." β
"It's a family history. Silver wasn't angry.
"Anyway, I don't want to see that madman come back to life. I think we can reach a cooperation on a certain level. β
"But where you are now, Lady Bathilda, I don't think you can do anything. Silver said.
"Not necessarily. Bathilda smiled mysteriously.
"Oh?"
"Follow me. Bathilda said.
Silver was a little surprised, but he was ready to do it.
They walked out of the room and up the stairs.
The staircase was steep and narrow, but Bathilda didn't have a hard time climbing it - apparently her constitution had changed because of the mysterious rite of immortality, but Silver was the young man who was out of breath when he climbed it. They climbed to the top of the stairs, and Bathilda turned to the right and led him into a low bedroom.
It was pitch black inside, the smell was terrible, and there was darkness all around.
"Sorry, that little thing is not very obedient, only in this environment can it be quiet. Bathilda said.
"Fluorescent flickering. Silver said, the wand lit up.
A twelve-foot-long serpent was tied into a giant bow that filled half the room. The snake was still alive, staring viciously at the two men in front of it, as if it was ready to attack at any moment, if it could.
"Well, I'm surprised, why is it here?" Silver gasped.
"Just last week, this snake came to me, as if trying to eat me. I'm impatient, but I don't want to die in the belly of a snake. Bathilda laughed. "So I can only grieve it to stay with me first. This little guy should be worth a lot of money. β
"Of course it's worth a lot. Silver watched the serpent carefully, "I retracted my words. We should indeed deepen our cooperation, Ms. Bathilda......"

The sun is rising, and the pure, colorless, vast sky hangs overhead.
Bathilda was right, Godric's Valley was full of danger. Harry and Ron had just left the village to prepare for the apparition when they found themselves in a magical labyrinth from which the apparition would not work, and it took them a long time to get out.
The sun was indifferent to the pain of the two. Harry sat down at the mouth of the tent and took a deep breath of clear air. Ron was still sleeping in the tent - he was exhausted.
Harry reached into the leather bag that Hagrid had given him. The pouch is already full of all sorts of things, and it can be difficult to find something from it accurately and quickly. After some fumbling with his hands, Harry's hands finally touched the two things he was looking forβthe two pieces of parchment. (To be continued......)
