Chapter 461: Festival Legends (1)

"One of the sayings is that in the ancient flood era, the ancestor of the Buyi tribe 'Pangu', accumulated experience in cultivating rice in labor, and harvested every year, and later he married the daughter of the dragon king and gave birth to a son, named Xinheng. Pen "Fun" Pavilion www.biquge.info once the son offended his mother, and the dragon girl was angry, returned to the Dragon Palace, and never came back. 'Pangu' had no choice but to remarry, and on June 6 of a year, Pangu died, and Xinheng was abused by his stepmother and almost killed. He couldn't bear it, so he went to heaven to accuse his stepmother, and vowed to destroy the rice seedlings she cultivated, after the stepmother knew, she regretted it very much, and finally reconciled with Xinheng, and on June 6 every year, the day of Pangu's death, kill pigs and ducks, make baba, and sacrifice Pangu, so the people of the Buyi nationality hold a sacrifice to Pangu on June 6 every year, for the ancestors' activities, in order to show the continuation of the descendants, the harvest of grains, year after year, this nation was formed.

"There is also a saying on the June 6th Festival, which is also about the Buyi people, that once upon a time there was a descendant of the Buyi tribe called the Dushi, who was smart and capable, cheerful and optimistic, and had a moving singing voice. He often sang in the gap of farm work, and his singing and character touched a daughter of the Jade Emperor, who went down to the world to marry the teacher for a hundred years, and the husband and wife loved each other. Who knows that the good times will not last long. Soon, the Jade Emperor knew that he would not allow his daughter to marry a mortal, so he sent the gods to break up the loving couple. When parting, the fairy tearfully gave him a treasure gourd and told him that she would meet him at the Nantianmen every year on the sixth day of the sixth month of June. He obeyed the instructions and did not remarry, and went to the river on June 6 every year to meet his heavenly wife until he was in the end of his life.

Later, in order to praise their steadfast love and express their gratitude to the fairy for giving the treasure gourd, the Buyi people held a grand celebration on the sixth day of June every year.

"And the Dong people are second only to the New Year for 'June 6'. On this day, the girl of Jiazhai had to block a rope in front of the gate of the village, insert some bamao on it, and put a table on the ground, and there were wine utensils on the table. The young men of Yizhai wanted to enter Jiazhai, and the girls sang the song of blocking the door: "Where is the Peugeot guy? Is the eagle flying far away or coming to play? The young man replied: "There is a fate to be a companion in the next life, and Shuangyan will fly far away and have a home." Make the nest downstairs under the eaves, and go out early and return late to reunite. So the lad had to be sung many songs by the girls before he was allowed to enter the stockade.

"In the evening, when the dinner was made, the song continued, and every time he drank a glass of wine, he had to sing a song, and if the young man did not match, he would be punished for drinking, called a 'dumb cup', and then the girls and the young men would get together, and the girls would embroider or take the insoles, and the young men would play the lute, play the corbel, and sing love songs in a low voice with the girls. This kind of duet is called 'singing and sitting on the moon', which means 'exchanging feelings with songs under the moon' in Kam language. When the singing was over, and the sky was almost dawn, the girls took out the oil tea to greet the young man, and everyone dispersed after eating. Before leaving, the girls sent the young men to the gate of the village, singing songs to send the young men away.

"June 6, this day for every nation, it has a festival origin, which may be related to the number six, because the word 'six six' means Da Shun. Uncle Luo said.

"Uncle Luo, what other festival legends and their origins, especially those of a small number of people, please tell us about them!" Tian Limai said.

"Tian Limai, if you want to talk about them all, I'm afraid it's a little difficult, I also talk about two festivals, that is, the Mid-Autumn Festival and March 3, and I'll talk about it when I have time in the future. Uncle Luo said.

"Dad, let's talk about the Mid-Autumn Festival first, we often heard people say when we were children, the opening of the gate of heaven on August 15, what kind of legend is this Mid-Autumn Festival and the opening of the gate of heaven?" Roth said.

"Si'er, the opening of the gate of heaven on August 15 is also a legend. It is said that on the night of the fifteenth day of the eighth month of the lunar calendar, the gate of heaven will be opened. When the gate of heaven is opened, if you see a happy event, you will be lucky. If you see a funeral, you must memorize it.

"Once upon a time, there were two brothers, the elder brother was a good man, and the younger brother was a little more cunning. The brothers divided their families, each in his own way. On this day, my brother went to count the eight characters. When Mr. Bazi saw that he was honest, he said: 'You are not good at these eight characters! You see, you are guilty of evil here, and you are also guilty of evil here, and there are several evils! As the saying goes, there are seven evils, there are pimples, and there are no cattle incidents. You've been doing things hard this year, and you've been sick a lot, so be careful!' My brother was frightened when he heard Mr. Bazi's words. After I went back, I was worried all day long.

"My brother also went to the gentleman to count the eight characters. When the gentleman saw him elf, he said that he was good, and that he was good at eight characters, and that he was lucky, and if he went to business, he would definitely make a lot of money. The younger brother was overjoyed when he heard this, and he threw away his crops to go into business.

"On the night of August 15, my brother fell asleep in bed, and in a trance, an old woman called him to get up. The old woman said to him, 'What are you doing when you are angry, Mr. Bazi can't believe what Mr. Bazi says, he can't calculate it accurately! Come quickly, and see if your life is good or bad, like Mr. Bazi said.' The elder brother hurriedly got up and ran out with the old woman. The old woman pointed to the sky and told her brother to look. The elder brother raised his head and looked in the direction pointed by the old woman: Hey, the gate of heaven is wide open, and a string of people come out of it, carrying a big red sedan chair, blowing and blowing to pick up the new daughter-in-law! The elder brother couldn't figure out what was going on, so he asked the old woman. The old woman said to him, 'Today is the fifteenth day of August, and the gate of the south heaven will be opened on the fifteenth day of the eighth month. Didn't you see it? What you see is a happy event, and it's good luck to see a happy event. You must not believe Mr. Bazi's nonsense, you just need to thank the land of Nantianmen, burn more incense for him, and respect him more for good wine and food, so that you will see a happy event when the door opens on August 15 of the next year. ’

"It turned out that the old woman was the wife of the father-in-law of the land on the Nantianmen, that is, the mother-in-law of the land. Speaking of the land father-in-law of Nantianmen, although he is lenient, he doesn't know that every Bodhisattva is respected, but he is not respected. Seeing that he couldn't get any oil and water, he thought of a way, and on the night of August 15, he quietly opened the Nantian Gate and made it lively. He also called the mother-in-law of the land to come down to earth and lead her brother out of the door. When the elder brother heard the words of the land mother-in-law, he was very happy and made a lot of delicious things to entertain her. Afterwards, as the mother-in-law of the land said, he often made some good wine and food, burned incense and lit candles to pay tribute to the father-in-law of Nantianmen. The father-in-law of Nantianmen Land received incense, and he often helped his brother. In this way, my brother did pass that year peacefully.

"My brother has never done business before, and when he does, he loses his money. The younger brother thought to himself, Mr. Gou'er Bazi is guessing nonsense! He said that his brother was not doing things well and was suffering a lot, which was not the case at all. He said that I was lucky, why was I so unlucky? After thinking about it, he couldn't figure it out, so he ran to ask his brother, and the elder brother told his brother all about the mother-in-law of the land he met and the fact that he burned incense and lit candles, used good wine and good food to pay tribute to the father-in-law of the land of Nantianmen. When the younger brother heard this, he also learned to do what the elder brother did. At this time, the father-in-law of the land of Nantianmen violated the rules of heaven by opening the gate of heaven privately and coaxing the incense offerings of mortals, and after the Jade Emperor knew about it, he sent someone to arrest the father-in-law of Nantianmen and beat him with five hundred sticks. After a stick beating, the father-in-law of the land was dying, he had already lost his breath and was beaten to death!

"After the father-in-law of Nantianmen was killed, the Jade Emperor ordered someone to load him in a coffin and carry him out of Nantianmen. On that day, it happened to be the evening of August 15, and when my younger brother went to see it, he saw those people carrying the father-in-law of the land walking out of the Nantianmen Gate to mourn. Therefore, it was later said that when the gate of heaven was opened, there was good luck when you saw a happy event, and when you saw a funeral, you had bad luck. Uncle Luo recounted.

"Dad, in addition to the story of opening the gate of heaven during the Mid-Autumn Festival, there are many mythological stories, do you want to tell them as well?" Roess said again.

"Si'er, if you don't say it, Dad also wants to talk about it, since Tian Limai and your sister Wenwen need it, I'll tell it!" Uncle Luo said.

"Thank you, Uncle Luo. Tian Limai and Jiang Wenwen said almost at the same time.

Uncle Luo said: "I know a total of six stories about the Mid-Autumn Festival, and I will tell them one by one. ”

So Uncle Luo began to tell again:

Story 1: Chang'e runs to the moon

According to legend, Chang'e flew to the Moon Palace after stealing the elixir of immortality that her husband Hou Yi asked for from the Queen Mother of the West. But Qionglou Yuyu, the height is unbearable, the so-called "Chang'e should repent of stealing the elixir, the blue sea and blue sky and night heart" is a portrayal of her lonely mood. Later, Chang'e confided in her husband and said with great regret: "Tomorrow is the full moon, you will make balls out of flour in the shape of a full moon, and place them in the northwest direction of the house, and then call my name continuously." At the third watch, I can go home. The next day, do as your wife instructs, and then the fruit flies from the middle of the moon, and the husband and wife are reunited. The custom of making moon cakes for Chang'e during the Mid-Autumn Festival was formed from this.

Story 2: Wu Gang cut Gui

Legend has a laurel tree in the moon, "Huainanzi" has said that "there is a laurel tree in the moon", and later legends are more specific, and Wu Gang, a person who cuts laurel is added next to the laurel tree. The legend of the laurel tree in the moon and Wu Gang is most specific to the first volume of the first volume of the Tang Dynasty Duan Chengshi's "Youyang Miscellaneous Quirks", which is the most specific in its cloud: "In the old words, there are laurels and toads in the moon, so the laurel is five hundred zhang high, and there is a person who often cuts it down, and the tree is created with it." The surname is Wu Minggang, a native of Xihe, who has learned immortals, and ordered to cut down trees. It means that Wu Gang once followed the immortal cultivator to the heavenly realm, but he made a mistake, and the immortal sent him to the moon and ordered him to cut down the immortal tree, the laurel. The laurel is as high as five hundred zhang, and it is ready to be cut and closed, and the immortals use this never-ending labor as a punishment for Wu Gang. There is a record in Li Bai's poem that "if you want to cut the laurel in the moon, you will be paid for the cold".

Story 3: Jade Rabbit pounds medicine

This legend was first seen in "Han Le Fu Dong Escape": "The jade rabbit knelt down to pound the medicine toad pill, presented His Majesty with a jade plate, and took this medicine to get immortals." According to legend, there was a rabbit in the moon, whose body was as white as jade, so it was called "Jade Rabbit". This kind of white rabbit holds a jade pestle, kneels on the ground and pounds the medicine, and becomes a toad pill, taking such pills can grow into immortals. The Jade Rabbit is probably Chang'e's earliest playmate in the Guanghan Palace.

After Uncle Luo finished telling the first three stories, he said: "The three Mid-Autumn Festival stories I told just now are full of myths and legends, and there are also such legends about the connection between the three, saying that Hou Yi got the immortal medicine from the Queen Mother of the West and handed it over to Chang'e, that is, Chang'e, for safekeeping. Yi's students went to steal after hearing about it, and if they didn't succeed in stealing, they would harm their sisters. In a hurry, Chang'e swallowed the immortal medicine and flew into the sky. Because she couldn't bear to leave Yi, she was stranded in the Moon Guanghan Palace. The loneliness in the Guanghan Palace was unbearable, so he urged Wu Gang to cut down the laurel tree and let the jade rabbit pound the medicine, hoping to prepare the medicine of ascension, so that he could return to the world and reunite with Yi as soon as possible. ”

Uncle Luo paused, looked at Tian Limai and Jiang Wenwen and continued: "Next, the three legends I want to talk about have certain historical prototypes, which are closely related to well-known historical figures and historical records. Uncle Luo then told the following three legends.

Story 4: Xuanzong travels to the moon

Legend has it that Tang Xuanzong and Shen Tianshi and Taoist Hongdu looked at the moon in the Mid-Autumn Festival, and suddenly Xuanzong raised the idea of visiting the Moon Palace, so the Heavenly Master practiced, and the three of them walked on the green clouds together and roamed the Moon Palace. However, there is a heavily guarded front of the Moon Palace, and it is impossible to enter, so you can only overlook the Chang'an Imperial City outside. At this moment, he suddenly heard the sound of immortals, which was beautiful and wonderful, like a turning person! Tang Xuanzong had always been familiar with the rhythm of music, so he silently remembered it in his heart. This is exactly "this song should only exist in heaven, and the world can hear it a few times!" In the future, Xuanzong recalled the music and singing of the Moon Palace Xian'e, and composed music and choreography by himself, which is the famous "Neon Clothes and Feather Song" in history.

Story 5: Diao Chan worships the moon

Diao Chan is the singer of Situ Wang Yun in the late Eastern Han Dynasty, the country is fragrant, and she has the appearance of captivating the country and the city. Legend has it that Diao Chan was born in the world, and the local peach and apricot blossoms withered within three years; Diao Chan worships the moon at midnight, and Chang'e is ashamed of herself in the month, and hurriedly disappears into the clouds; Diao Chan has a pretty posture, thin ears and blue rings, the wind swings willows when traveling, and there is more than elegance when quiet, and the beauty of Diao Chan is a grand view. It is precisely because of this beauty that Dong Zhuo, who is in power, and Lu Bu, who is brave and unscrupulous, turn against each other, and make the turbulent government and opposition feel a little peaceful.

Story 6: Drink alone under the moon

The poet Li Bai wrote about himself drinking alone under the moon among the flowers. The sentence "three people in the shadow" is wonderfully conceived, showing his lonely and bold feelings. "Li Shi Straight Explanation": "This pair of moons drink alone, and let go of Huaidaguan to enjoy themselves." When the poet came on the stage, the background was among the flowers, the prop was a pot of wine, the character on the stage was just himself, the action was alone, and the words "no blind date" were added, and the scene was very monotonous. So the poet suddenly had a whim, pulled the bright moon in the sky, and his own shadow in the moonlight, and turned into three people, including himself, toasting together, and the deserted scene became lively.

Uncle Luo finished telling the story of the Mid-Autumn Festival, Luo Sisi repeated the old trick, looked at Tian Limai and said: "Brother, are you and Sister Wenwen tired of listening to Dad's legends, let's tell a few jokes and then ask my dad to continue, how about it?"
