Chapter 352: The Ethnic Villages of Shiqian (2)
Tour guide Huang Guirong continued:
In this village, the white crane is the mascot of the villagers, the white crane arrives every day as scheduled, and reports safety to the villagers, so in this village, both adults and children, pay attention to the protection of the white crane and other birds, which fully reflects the harmony and harmony between man and nature, and also reflects the kindness and simplicity of the villagers. Pen "Fun" Pavilion www.biquge.info if you are stained with bird droppings, don't panic, it means that you will have good luck!
"So, why did the ancestors of the Zhou family choose this place as a habitat in the first place? Because this is indeed a treasure of feng shui. Everyone, please see, the so-called left green dragon, right white tiger, front Vermilion Bird, back Xuanwu, left Qinglong refers to Liao Xianhe, right white tiger refers to White Tiger Mountain, Hou Xuanwu refers to the Turtle Mountain where we stand, when they came, there were no Vermilion Birds, these birds were artificially attracted by them. ”
The group came to an osmanthus tree.
"This osmanthus tree, also called the wood rhino tree, is evergreen all year round. Everyone, please see: this tree is the same root and forked, also called 'sister tree', one blooms white flowers, one blooms yellow flowers, the locals give it a nice name: 'gold and silver cinnamon', according to the villagers, in a good year, all will bloom yellow flowers, which means that the year is full of gold. Tour guide Huang Guirong explained.
Walking to a pavilion, Huang Guirong introduced:
"This ancient building is called 'Zitong Pavilion', and it was called 'Zitong Palace' in the old days, and Zitong Pavilion covers a total area of about 3,000 square meters. Founded in the Ming Dynasty Wanli years, Ming Yongli eight years and donated funds to build a pavilion, four statues, Qing Dynasty Kangxi three years donated funds to rebuild; Jiaqing six years to build the left and right side of the hall, five statues. In the second year of Tongzhi, it was burned down by Miao bandits, and an abbot Zen master invited the people to rebuild it in the sixth year of Tongzhi. The stone inscription of "Rebuilding the Preface to Zitong Palace" records this history in detail. The slogan in front was left over from the sixties and seventies of the last century, and the reason why it has not been erased is mainly to preserve some original traces of history. The side halls on both sides used to be the residence of a famous man in the Zhou family named Zhou Guozhen and the monk, legend has it that Zhou Guozhen lived here for the convenience of worshipping the gods, and the monks were to take care of the statues and ring the bell every day. There is a big bell in front of Zitong Palace in the past, and the sound is like thunder when it is struck, and the monk can be heard ringing the bell ten miles away. Three times in the morning, four times in the evening, known as 'three in the morning and four in the evening'! In those days, the monks of Zitong Palace came and went, the evening drum and morning bell, the incense was vigorous, and it became a place of worship. ”
After walking through the "Zitong Palace", there is a larger crape myrtle tree in front, when the tour guide Huang Guirong explained, described the color of the tree body as flesh color, if the girl's skin, and said that the tree type is magical and strange, the local people call it "haha tree", explaining that as long as the human hand gently touches the tree, the whole tree body will "laugh" up, Wu Zong and others also stroked it, but the tree did not "laugh" but shook a few times!
Walking past the crape myrtle tree, an ancient tomb appears in front of you. Tour guide Huang Guirong explained:
"The owner of the ancient tomb we see below is the one we mentioned named Zhou Guozhen. Zhou Guozhen is the fourth generation ancestor of the Zhou family, born in the 30th year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1605) and died in the 24th year of the Kangxi Dynasty (1686) of the Qing Dynasty. Zhou Guozhen is a provincial scholar of the Chinese people, and his ideas and ideas have profoundly influenced his children and grandchildren. The culture of a place has been passed down from generation to generation, so it has a heritage, and when it comes to the cultivation and reading culture of the ancient village, it is impossible not to mention this old Mr. Zhou Guozhen. When the Zhou family developed to Zhou Guozhen's generation, it has become a wealthy family, but it coincided with the fact that there were many corrupt officials and corrupt officials, and bandits were rampant.
"During the Kangxi period, King Wu mutinied, the local jade was burned, the ancestors of the Zhou family were poisoned by it, only a few people remained, only Zhou Guozhen's family was safe and sound. So he was sent to serve in the Huguang Economic and Political Office, and his wife and children stayed at home, but unfortunately only a few days after returning home, his wife and seven sons died one after another. In just a few days, Zhou Guozhen experienced the greatest pain and misfortune in his life, and he regretted: "This is the consequence of being an official!" So he vowed never to be an official, so he collected the diploma notebook, fasted day and night, recited the Buddha, and gave alms, immersed in great sorrow and remorse.
At that time, there was a Li Gong in the west of the Zhiqiao River to comfort him, and his little daughter was promised to him, in the age of sixty, but happy to have three sons, the old son made him happy, at this time, he respected heaven and earth, worship the gods, save the emergency, no good. Back then, he went to Yangxi to pay New Year's greetings to his most respected grandfather Lei, and saw three white-haired old men in his dream at night, pointing out to him that there was a piece of yin land under the Qinglong Rock, which was a treasure land of feng shui, and finally he really got this yin land as a habitat after a hundred years. The tomb we saw just now is a fake tomb, in fact, the place where Zhou Guozhen was really buried is in the cave under the Qinglong Rock, the locals call it the cave burial, the ancient tomb is a cliff as a natural barrier, surrounded by towering trees, the color is as deep as Dai, and it is integrated.
"The front of the cave is magical and mysterious, except for the Liaoxian River, which flows from east to west, is the inverted pine tree planted between the cliffs on the bank of the Yuli River. In particular, the legend about the origin of the inverted pine gives it a mysterious color. Legend is that Zhou Guozhen's niece, at the age of eight, because of the war chaos, was captured to Yunnan, and promised to marry Zhang Long, the little couple gave birth to a son named Wenbiao, when serving as a military attache in the green camp of the Qing Dynasty, sent troops to Sinan Banqiao, he held a letter written by his mother, without hindering military affairs to the upstairs to find relatives, but he was framed by the villain, someone reported to the government that he stopped the army, so he was ordered to return to his hometown, in order to help him raise money, Zhou Guozhen and others sold their fields to help him.
Later, Zhou Guozhen looked for relatives to Yunnan, and when he came back, he brought three pine trees to plant, and it is said that this pine tree was to be planted upside down, but the only one who survived was the pine tree planted in the cliff. There is not a single tree among the surrounding bare peaks, but it has endured thousands of years of wind and rain here. People praise the tree, "Its curved body, leaving the shape of the wind, it seems to be about to fall into a deep valley, but it seems to be about to spread its wings and fly...... and the tree suggests a strong character that does not yield to pressure.
"There are many ancient tombs in the ancient village upstairs, and it is worth mentioning the ancient tomb of Wenlinlang. This is the burial tomb of Zhou Xueyi and his wife, Wen Linlang is a civil and prose official, the official residence is seven, there is no specific affairs, he is an idle official, he is a suave and talented literati. Everyone, please look at the tomb couplet's old trees are still chaste and ancient in the evening after frost, and the strange flowers are drunk with rain and the Yao Pond is still sowing afterglow'. The upper link depicts the image of an elegant and healthy elder, and the lower couplet's strange flowers and drunken rain's language is amazing, which makes people envy the old husband and young wife in the tomb, the white woman is red-faced, and the love is always new; However, it is a pity that the two died one after another, and there was only a gap of only five years in between.
"There is also an ancient tomb that has to be seen in the ancient village, this is the ancient tomb of 'nine sons and ten Xiucai', the owner of the ancient tomb is the wife of Zhou Yi, the sixth ancestor of the Zhou family, Huang, the stele was erected in the eighth year of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty (1804), it has been more than 200 years of history, according to legend, ten of their nine children and grandsons and sons-in-law are Xiucai, and its 'outstanding people' can be seen. Zhou Yi is twenty years old, proficient in poetry and books, and works hard to support the family business. Zhou Yi said that the greatest joy in life is nothing more important than filial piety, and filial sons and grandchildren are all obtained by the ancestors. So his two sons devoted themselves to their studies, and the couple worked hard to farm. Later, they had two younger sons, and in addition, the two eldest sons who devoted themselves to studying were admitted to Xiucai, so they blamed and disciplined the two younger sons. Luo Gong of Shiqian Mansion gave the couple the plaque of 'Yanshan Pill Bear Xunzi, Accumulating Thick Streamers'. As a result, their two youngest sons and one grandson were admitted to 'Xiucai' again. There is a couplet in its ancient tomb: 'The case is more than a yellow scroll, and the son is handed down, and the bear pill is given to the grandson'. Since then, the story of the 'Marukuma godson' has been widely spread, and there are many talented people here, and scholarly families abound, but no one is an official. ”
After seeing the ancient tomb, the tour guide pointed to a small hill and introduced:
"On the bank of the Liaoxian River, which has a magnificent and beautiful natural scenery, there is a landscape, called: 'father-in-law and daughter-in-law' mountain, and the landscape shape resembles the body of two people. About its origin, there is such a legend, a long time ago, the residents of the ancient village upstairs in order to escape the flood, all migrated to the opposite mountain, generally the man in each family carried the woman across the Liaoxian River, climbed to the mountain, and there is a family only 'father-in-law' and the 'daughter-in-law' who lost her husband, so the 'father-in-law' took on the heavy responsibility of carrying the daughter-in-law, and in the long run, the feelings between the 'father-in-law' and the 'daughter-in-law' were not blessed, and were regarded as chaotic and spurned by the villagers. One day, the bold 'father-in-law' still ignored everyone's opposition and put on his 'daughter-in-law', and in an instant, lightning flashed and thundered, and the head of the 'father-in-law' somehow fell to Liao Xian's Hanoi with a bang. To this day, the 'daughter-in-law' is still on the back of the 'father-in-law', as if to show people this relationship.
"Okay, Mr. Wu, we have been upstairs for a long time, but we have not really entered the ancient village, press down and we will go into the ancient village, and experience the unique charm of this small village with a history of thousands of years. However, before entering the ancient village, there is another scenic spot we have to pass through, that is, 'Nangui Bridge', it was built in the late Ming Dynasty in the second year of Chongzhen (1629), the bridge body is composed of a whole bluestone slab, about three meters long, about 0.3 meters thick, weighing about 20 tons. It is said to have been mined from the mountains three kilometers away, and it is hard to imagine how the ancients here used their wisdom and sweat to create this miracle. Because there is a Nan tree and an osmanthus tree in front, it is named 'Nan Gui Bridge'. The two trees are tall and straight, evergreen all year round, more than ten meters apart, like a unique walled gate, but these two trees were unfortunately blown off by a strong wind more than ten years ago.
"It is said that Nangui Bridge was built by Zhou Guozhen, which was built after he had a son in his sixties, in order to respect heaven and earth, worship the gods, help the needy, and do nothing good."
After crossing the stone bridge, the tour guide Huang Guirong said:
"Mr. Wu, we've walked for a while, aren't we a little thirsty? Do you want to take a sip of the mountain spring and move on? If you want to, I'll take you to drink the sweet spring of 'Tenfujing'! Tianfujing was built in the 27th year of the Republic of China by the people raising funds, the well water flows out from the dragon's tongue-shaped water hole, flows into the distance through two open-air wells, the spring water is cool and sweet, never turbid, nor exhausted, the spring water has raised the people here, the local people once had such a saying: the well water of Tianfujing will bring you six good luck: Tianfu, longevity, luck, promotion, wealth, pickle girl, you must not miss it! ”
After Mr. Wu and his entourage really tasted the well water of Tianfujing, they followed Huang Guirong along the mountain road and entered the ancient village. Tour guide Huang Guirong introduced:
The ancient village sits in the northeast and southwest, built by the mountain, and its overall layout is the "longevity" character structure, and all the lanes are paved with bluestone. The dark blue and slippery bluestone pavement is simple and narrow, and it has been lying in this deep and quiet ancient alley for hundreds of years, without complaints, without groaning, sending away the ancients and ushering in the present. On both sides of the bluestone slab, there are all green tile wooden houses, all of which are built in the Ming and Qing dynasties, and in such a big village, there is no brick house, let alone modern decoration materials. The wooden windows of every house are carved with exquisite patterns, such as plum blossoms, dragonflies, butterflies, or magpies, all of which are mascots, expressing the villagers' love for nature and their yearning for a better life.
The couplets on the gate and the incense shrine are very different from other villages, rich in profound cultural heritage, and the poems and books can be called fine works, and look at the couplets of the incense shrines written by Zhou Zhengdian himself: reciting Yaofu sentences in the early morning; Smell the incense in the quiet night. The couplet in the middle of the hall is: to be clear and to keep righteousness in the feint; Doing ordinary things at the joints is typical. The word 'canon' is embedded in the couplet, which is very natural and ingenious. Zhou Zhengdian is quite well-known in today's Shiqian, once worked in a department directly under the county, not only has the demeanor of everyone in poetry and books, but also has a good abacus, he can put the abacus on his head, and the left and right bows are very skillful in playing with the beads, and the score is not bad.
"The difference between the upstairs ancient village and other villages lies in the layout of his house, the 'crooked door ramp' is the 'strange' here, that is, the dragon gate of each family is crookedly opened, and the bluestone slab ancient lane is obliquely walked. The crooked courtyard is said to be the embodiment of the wealth of the big families in the past, and reflects the people here to live and work in peace and contentment, not exaggerated, not ostentatious, subtle and plain personality, everywhere, always crooked open 'eight characters' dragon gate, unswervingly waiting for the arrival of guests from afar, the whole ancient village shows a quiet, peaceful beauty!
There is also a characteristic dwelling in the ancient village, the ancient building of Ma Sang wood in the Ming Dynasty, this is one of the oldest dwellings upstairs, it was built in the middle of the Ming Dynasty, it is said that it was built with Ma Sang wood, and it was fortunate to be completely preserved when the house was burned down by Miao Sect in the eleventh year of Xianfeng in the Qing Dynasty (1862). Everyone knows that the marsan wood is a non-combustible wood and is very short, so this ancient house seems to give people a very low space. ”
