Chapter 255: Minor Accidents and Settlers (Ask for Subscriptions, Ask for Collections, Ask for Tickets)
"Get up, emergency. Ryan was sleeping soundly when he suddenly heard a roar in his ear. He subconsciously grabbed his wand and sat up.
"What happened, what happened?" said Ron, who was sleeping on the top bunk, as he lit his wand and looked at it, and then asked his father.
"I'm not sure for the time being, I can only see a battle breaking out in the direction of the camp keeper's hut, although it's far away from us, we still have to prepare. Mr. Weasley said with a serious face.
When Ryan climbed out of the tent with his wand in hand, he found that the singing around him had stopped, and there was a faint scream in the distance. He even saw in the distance some tents being lit in the direction of the camp warden's hut.
"Damn, the kids have pulled your wands out, it should be an emergency!" Sirius pulled Harry into his arms, and from their crumpled pants it was clear that they had slept with their clothes on.
By this time everyone had gathered at the door of the tent, and after listening to Sirius, they formed a circle and raised their wands after protecting the girl in the middle. At this time, some people in pajamas climbed out of the surrounding tents one after another, and most of these people were panicking after coming out, asking what happened to the people around them. However, because the place of the riot is far away, the surrounding people can still stay calm for the time being, standing at the door of their tent to observe the development of the situation.
After waiting for a while, the movement of the battle in the distance gradually subsided, and it seemed that the riot this time was not as strong as in the original book. Sirius noticed this, and he lowered his wand and said to the people around him, "I think the tense should be almost subsided, you can sit down and wait, don't be so nervous." With that, he pulled over a moisture-proof mat and took the lead and sat down on the ground.
Ryan and the others sat down after looking at each other, and the people around them did the same. Soon the uneasiness disappeared, and some people even brewed some hot cocoa with hot water to share with everyone.
Soon after, the movement of the battle completely disappeared, and Percy walked over in a somewhat disheveled manner. After saying hello to his family and friends, he drew his wand and pointed it at his throat and said, "Loud!"
Then he said something like thunder that could be heard clearly by all the people around him. "Someone was drunk and made a fuss just now, but thanks to the efforts of the Ministry of Magic, the riot has now subsided. The rioters have all been dispersed and order has been restored. So everyone can continue to rest now. β
Percy then disenchanted his spell and turned to his father, "After I alerted Director Burns, she ordered our few staff to ambush a few key areas. Half an hour ago, a group of black-robed men with masked faces did raid the camp keeper's hut, but luckily we had set up an ambush in advance to prevent them from succeeding. Later, the group saw that more and more Ministry of Magic staff were reinforced, and they all fled. After the situation calmed down, the Ministry of Magic urgently recalled all strikers and Aurors to maintain order. Those of us who worked temporary overtime were also put back. β
"Good, you did a very good job today. Mr. Weasley patted Percy on the shoulder after listening to Percy's account.
At this time, Ryan also gained 4 offset points, although it is not much, but this should be just the beginning. After all, Barty Crouch Jr. needs to brush up on a copy for an entire school year, so it makes sense that the initial task should be given a lower score.
In the second half of the night, everyone who had palpitations just wore their coats and lay hastily in the living room of the tent for a few hours, and as soon as dawn they put away the tent and received a portkey to go back to Weasel Mountain.
"Arthurβare you alright?" As soon as they entered the courtyard of the Burrow, they were greeted by a nervous Mrs. Weasley, holding a rolled-up copy of the Daily Prophet. Ryan could see the front page of the Daily Prophet waving to Fudge with a headline that read: Minister Fudge is well prepared to quell the riots.
"Heh, it's another rush. Obviously, yesterday was the credit of Ms. Burns. The Daily Prophet devoted several pages to touting Fudge and even describing him as a savior of an uncertain prophet. This made Percy, who had been busy for most of the night yesterday, very dissatisfied.
"The Ministry of Magic has always been like this, and you'll have to get used to it. Sirius said in a sarcastic tone. He and Harry had also arrived at the Burrow together, after all, the more people in a place when they had just received the portkey, the more people they could get first.
After eating, Sirius took Harry back to his residence. For the next week, both Mr. Weasley and Percy were rarely home. Every morning, before the rest of the family was up, the two of them left the house and did not return until long after dinner. However, Ryan had a good time during this time, and he and Hermione finally analyzed and mastered some of the knowledge about the transformation of the body, making it possible to make part of the body animal.
"Although the riots quickly subsided, after all, we have disgraced internationally this time. So now Fudge is asking all of us to work overtime to salvage our reputation. I think it's stupid, but since it's an order, just do it, and take turns to go to a coffee house or a fast food restaurant to rest when we're in the field. Just be careful not to talk about Quidditch when Muggles come over. But I hope this situation will end soon. Percy said one day at dinner.
"I guess it's no show. Mr. Weasley pushed the door open and walked in with a tired face. "Rita Skeeter didn't find enough news last time, so she's been camping at the Ministry of Magic lately. Now that she had discovered the disappearance of poor old Bertha, it seemed that this was the headline of the Daily Prophet tomorrow. β
"Oh my God. Percy rolled her eyes. Pertha Joggins' memory is like a leaky crucible, and this isn't the first time she's gone missing. Every time he disappeared he disappeared for a month or two, and it seemed that my vacation was gone in the red again. β
Since tomorrow was the day of departure for school, Ryan and the others quickly went upstairs to check their luggage. After taking inventory, he found that Mrs. Weasley had helped him buy all the textbooks and supplies, as well as some potions supplies.
Just as he was putting these things in his suitcase, there was a fuss from behind Ron.
"What kind of trick is this?" Ron held up an eerie-looking garment that looked to Ryan like a purple velvet dress, trimmed with moldy ruffles at the neckline and matching lace on the cuffs.
"I've seen similar clothes on oil paintings in museums, and this is supposed to be a dress. Isn't it said that everyone should bring a dress robe this year, I think this is your dress robe. Ryan knew what was going on at a glance.
"Museum, my God, how old is this dress? By the way, what does your gown look like?"
Ryan pulled a folded garment out of the box and unfolded it. It was a navy blue dress robe with a plain top, with nothing but a little silver pattern on the edges, and it looked like a school uniform robe.
"I bought it before I went to Brazil last year, and this year it's a bit short, I don't want to waste money on buying one and changing it a little bit with alchemy to wear it this year. Ryan said, pointing to his dress.
"I think it's more extravagant to change it with alchemy than to buy another one. Ron shrugged his shoulders, then looked at his dress helplessly, "I'd rather be shirtless than wear this." β
"Not really. Ryan said. "If you're willing to pay for raw materials, I can help you change it. After saying that, he looked at Ron's robes: "At least one Garon and three Sico." β
"Here you go, I hope it looks better. Ron thought for a moment, gritted his teeth, and took out 20 Sicos from under a loose piece of floor and handed them to Ryan. After that, I went out to watch the wind.
Ten minutes later, Ron heard Ryan shout from inside the room, "You can come in and have a look." β
When Ron entered, she found that his clothes had become almost unrecognizable: the whole dress had turned bright purple, and the unsightly lace had been reduced to a simple pattern with silver trim, and the whole looked a little like Ryan's own robe.
"Thank you so much, otherwise I would have been absolutely ashamed. With that, Ron happily packed his luggage.
